A Efficient Scheduling Study about Periodic and Aperiodic Task on Real-Time System (실시간 시스템에서 주기 및 비주기 태스크의 효율적인 스케줄링 연구)

  • 실시간 시스템에서 주기 태스크의 마감시간을 보장하며 도착 시간을 예측할 수 없는 비주기 태스크를 처리되도록 스케줄링 하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 정적 우선순위 스케줄링 방식 중 최적인 RM방식으로 주기 태스크를 스케줄링하고, 비주기 태스크의 발생시 비주기 태스크를 EDF 방식으로 스케줄링하여 오프라인에서 구한 슬랙을 비주기 태스크에 할당한다. 제안한 방식은 비주기 태스크의 마감시한내의 슬랙과 비주기 태스크의 실행 시간을 비교하여 비주기 태스크가 마감시한 내에 실행되지 못하는 경우 주기 태스크와 슬랙을 최적적합으로 교환하는 방식을 사용하여 비주기 태스크의 처리를 가능하게 하였다. 제안된 방식은 경성 비주기 태스크와 연성 비주기 태스크에 적용이 가능하며, 실험 결과 교환 알고리즘을 적용한 스케줄링 방식이 적용하지 않은 스케줄링 방식에 비해 비주기 태스크의 처리율이 높게 나왔다.

Thermohydromechanical Behavior Study on the Joints in the Vicinity of an Underground Disposal Cavern (심부 처분공동 주변 절리에서의 열수리역학적 거동변화)

  • The objective of this present study is to understand long term(500 years) thermohydromechanical interaction behavior on joints adjacent to a repository cavern, when high level radioactive wastes are disposed of within discontinuous granitic rock masses, and then, to contribute this understanding to the development of a disposal concept. The model includes a saturated discontinuous granitic rock mass, PWR spent nuclear fuels in a disposal canister surrounded with compacted bentonite inside a deposition hole, and mixed bentonite backfilled in the rest of the space within a repository cavern. It is assumed that two joint sets exist within a model. Joint set 1 includes joints of $56^{\circ}$ dip angle, spaced 20m apart, and joint set 2 is in the perpendicular direction to joint set 1 and includes joints of $34^{\circ}$ dip angle, spaced 20m apart. The two dimensional distinct element code, UDEC is used for the analysis. To understand the joint behavior adjacent to the repository cavern, Barton-Bandis joint model is used. Effect of the decay heat from PWR spent fuels on the repository model has been analyzed, and a steady state flow algorithm is used for the hydraulic analysis.

  • The three truss models(equilibrium truss model, Mohr compatibility truss model, and the soften truss model) based on a rotating angle is called the rotating-angle model. The three rotating-angle models have a common weakness: they are incapable of predicting the so-called "contribution of concrete". To take into account this "contribution of concrete", the modern truss model(MCFT, STM) treats a cracked reinforced concrete element as a continuous material. By combining the equilibrium, compatibility, and the softened stress-strain relationship of concrete in biaxial state, MTM is capable of producing the nonlinear analysis of reinforced concrete structures composed of membrane element. In this paper, an efficient algorithm is proposed for the solution of proposed model incorporated with failure criteria. This algorithm is used to analyze the behavior of reinforced membrane element using the results of Hsu test.

ICT inspection System for Flexible PCB using Pin-driver and Ground Guarding Method (핀 드라이버와 접지가딩 기법을 적용한 모바일 디스플레이용 연성회로기판의 ICT검사 시스템)

  • In this paper, ICT (in circuit tester) inspection system and inspection algorithm is proposed and detects whether inferiority exists or not in the mounted device on the flexible PCB in cell phones or mobile display devices. The system is composed of PD (pin-driver) and GGM (ground guarding method). The structural characteristics of these flexible PCB are analyzed, which is needed to input or output the test signal. Test signal to investigate the characteristics of passive components is generated using modified circuit diagram and proposed inspection algorithm. PM (pin-map) is decided on the basis of circuit diagram and has the information about the kind of test signal to be applied and the pad number for the test signal to be connected. PD is designed to load a proper test signal for a specific pad and is adjusted according to PM so that the reconstructed circuit has minimum node and mash. The proposed ICT inspection system is realized using PD and GGM. Using the system, an experiment for each passive component is done to investigate the measurement accuracy of the developed system and an experiment for real flexible PCB model is done to verity the effectiveness of the system.

  • As the recent development of computing architecture and application software technology, real world simulation, which is the ultimate destination of computer simulation, is emerging as a practical issue in several research sectors. In this paper, metal plate motion in a square shock tube for small time interval was calculated using a supercomputing-based fluid-structure-combustion multi-physics simulation tool called Illinois Rocstar, developed in a US national R amp; D program at the University of Illinois. Afterwards, the simulation results were compared with those from experiments. The coupled solvers for unsteady compressible fluid dynamics and for structural analysis were based on the finite volume structured grid system and the large deformation linear elastic model, respectively. In addition, a strong correlation between calculation and experiment was shown, probably because of the predictor-corrector time-integration scheme framework. In the future, additional validation studies and code improvements for higher accuracy will be conducted to obtain a reliable open-source software research tool.

  • There was widespread criticism of the online news services due to their bias toward sensational and soft news. Thus, news services based on journalist values are socially requested. News source network analysis(NSNA), an algorithm to cluster and weight news sources, quotes, and articles, is suggested as a method to emphasize on journalist values like facts, variety, depth, and criticism in the previous study. This study suggests 'News Sources' as a visualization tool of NSNA. 'News Sources' shows news as bar graphs, weighted by facts and criticism, and arranged by organizations and subjects. This study designed a beta version using KINDS, a news archive of Korean Press Foundation.

Design of ${\gamma}$=1/3, K=9 Convolutional Codec Using Viterbi Algorithm (비터비 알고리즘을 이용한 r=1/3, K=9 콘벌루션 복부호기의 설계)

  • In this paper, a VLSI design of the convolutional codec chip of code rate r=l/3, and constraint length K=9 is presented, which is able to correct errors of the received data when transmitted data is corrupted in channels. The circuit design mainly aimed for simple implementation. In the decoder, Viterbi algorithm with 3-bit soft-decision is employed. For information sequence updating and storage, the register exchange method is employed, where the register length is 5$\times$K(45 stages). The codec chip is designed using VHDL language and Design Analyzer and VHDL Simulator of Synopsys are used for simulation and synthesis. The chip is composed of ENCODER block, ALIGN block, BMC block, ACS block, SEL_MIN block and REG_EXCH block. The operation of the codec chip is verified though the logic simulations, where several error conditions are assumed. As a result of the timing simulation after synthesis, the decoding speed of 325.5Kbps is achieved, and 6,894 gates is used.

  • In the current research, an algorithm of performance-based seismic retrofit design of reinforced concrete columns using FRP jacket has been proposed. For exact prediction of the nonlinear flexural analysis or FRP composite RC members, multiaxial constitutive laws of concrete and composite materials have been presented. For seismic retrofit design, an algorithm of direct displacement-based design method (DDM) proposed by Chopra and Goel (2001) has been newly applied to determine the design thickness of FRP jacket in seismic retrofit of reinforced concrete columns. To compare with the displacement coefficient method (DCM), the DDM gives an accurate prediction of the target displacement in highly nonlinear region, since the DCM uses the elastic stiffness before reaching the yield load as the effective stiffness but the DDM uses the secant stiffness.

  • The influence of the strain-rate on the thermomechanical characteristics of shape memory alloys (SMAs) is numerically investigated. The three-dimensional SMA constitutive equations of strain-rate effect is developed. The strain-rate effect is taken into account by introducing a coupling equation between the production rate of martensite and the temperature change. For the numerical results, the SMA algorithm is implemented into the ABAQUS finite element program. Numerical simulation shows that the pseudoelasticity of SMA may significantly be changed by considering the strain-rate due to the temperature change.

  • This paper discusses the parallelization of multifrontal solution method, widely used for finite element structural analyses, for a shared memory architecture. Multifrontal method is easier than other linear solution methods because the solution procedure implies that unknowns can be eliminated simultaneously. Two innovative ideas are introduced to achieve optimal solver performance on a shared memory computer. Those are pairing two frontal matrices and splitting the frontal matrix in order to reduce the temporal memory space required by independent computing tasks. Performance comparisons between original algorithm and proposed one prove that proposed method is more computationally efficient on current multicore machines.
