A Study on Power Conversion System for Fuel Cell Controlled by Micro-Processor (마이크로프로세서에 의해 제어되는 연료전지용 전력변환장치에 관한 연구)

  • In the dissertation, a power conversion system for fuel cell is composed of a PWM inverter with LC filter in order to convert fuel cell voltage to a single phase 220[V]. In addition, new insulated DC-DC converters are proposed in order that fuel cell voltage is boosted to 380[V]. In this paper, it requires smaller components than existing converters, which makes easy control. The proposed DC-DC converter controls output power by the adjustment of phase-shift width using switch $S_5\;and\;S_6$ in the secondary switch which provides 93-97[%] efficiency in the wide range of output voltage. Fuel cell simulator is implemented to show similar output characteristics to actual fuel cell. Appropriate dead time td enables soft switching to the range where the peak value of excitation current in a high frequency transformer is in accordance with current in the primary circuit. Moreover, appropriate setting to serial inductance La reduces communication loss arisen at light-load generator and serge voltage arisen at a secondary switch and serial diode. A Study on the Measurement of the Dimensionless Light Extinction Constant for Particulate Matter from Fuel Oil for Marine and Land Diesel Engines (선박 및 육상 디젤 엔진용 연료유에서 발생하는 입자상물질에 대한 무차원 광소멸계수 계측에 관한 연구)

  • It is known that he pollutant emitted from the combustion process of marine fuel oil causes air pollution and harmful effects to the human body. Accordingly, IMO regulates pollutants emitted from ships. However, the regulation of Particulate Matter (PM) is still in the process of debate, so preemptive action is needed. Fundamental research on PM is essential. In this study, the Dimensionless Light Extinction Constant ($K_e$) of fuel oil used in marine diesel engines was measured and analyzed to construct the basic data of the PM generated from marine-based fuel oil. The fuel oil used in the land diesel engine was measured in the same way for character comparison. Both fuel oils differ in sulfur content and density. The $K_e$ was measured via the optical method using a 633 nm laser and was determined by using the volume fraction of PM collected by the gravimetric filter method. The $K_e$ of the PM discharged from marine fuel oil is 8.28, and the land fuel oil is 8.44. The $K_e$ of two fuel oils was similar within the measurement uncertainty range. However, it was found by comparison with the value obtained by the Rayleigh-Limit solution that the light scattering portion could be large. Also, it was found that light extinction characteristics could be different due to the relationship between light transmittance and collected mass.

  • This paper proposes a parallel operation system of the Z-source active power filter using one fuel cells(FC) system. The proposed system is composed of two Z-source inverters operating in parallel only one PEM(Polymer Electrolyte Membrane)FC system. Also, as the control algorithm of the active power filter, a single phase P-Q theory and PI control are adopted. The effectiveness of the proposed the system is verified by the PSIM simulation in the steady state and the transient state.

  • 경유자동차는 연료 특성상 매연을 포함한 입자상물질을 다량 배출하고 있으며, 이러한 디젤입자상물질은 인체에 유해한 발암성 및 돌연변이원성 물질들을 함유하고 있기 때문에 호흡 등을 통한 인체 유입시 건강에 매우 유해하다. 그러므로 디젤입자상물질을 저감시키기 위한 여러 가지 기술들 중 발생된 배출가스가 배기관을 통해 대기중으로 배출되기 전에 엔진 연소실과 배기관 사이에 후처리장치와 같은 기술들을 이용하여 이를 저감시키고 있다. 본 연구에서는 후처리장치들 중 세라믹필터에 백금과 같은 산화성이 우수한 촉매를 코팅하여 만든 촉매식 매연여과장치(DPF ; diesel particulate filter, SK제공)를 사용하였을 때 입자저감성능 및 입자크기별 분포특성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 통해 도시대기오염 저감대책을 기초자료 및 환경학적, 보건학적 연구에 적극 활용하고자 한다. A Study on Hydraulic Drawdown Test Model and Experimental Estimation of Desorption Rate Ratios of Fuel Filters (유압 저하시험 모델과 자동차 연료필터의 토설율 측정 실험 연구)

  • This study describes the mathematical equation of drawdown test model and introduces the experimental test apparatus and procedure to estimate the desorption rate ratio of a filter. The characteristics of a hydraulic filtration system of drawdown test were demonstrated by numerical simulation for various properties of filters and operation conditions. Experiments for three kinds of fuel filters were conducted according to the proposed test method. And the test results of desorption rate ratio were compared with those values anticipated in precedent multipass filtration tests. Experimental results revealed the validation of drawdown test method proposed in this study. Domestic fuel filter yielded high desorption rate ratio comparing with other foreign products, which means that the Beta ratio decreases a lot during the test. The results also showed that filtration system model could be developed including desorption rate ratio to estimate the variable Beta ratio in service life.

  • 본 논문에서는 새로운 형태의 삼상 절연형 부스트 컨버터를 제안한다. 이 컨버터는 삼상구조의 특성에 의하여 큰 전력을 취급할 수 있고 전류 연속모드 작동에 의한 실효 전류 값이 작아져 전체적인 도통손실이 줄어든다. 또한, 각 입력 부스트 인덕터의 인터리브 동작으로 입력전류 리플이 작아짐과 더불어 실효 동작주파수가 증가함에 따라 필터부품의 크기도 줄어든다. 이러한 장점들은 연료전지의 전력변환기로서의 적용에 적합하다. 각 부스트 컨버터의 출력은 삼상 변압기를 통하여 합쳐지고 이 변압기를 통하여 입출력간 절연과 승압이 이루어진다. 전체 효율은 평균 96 %이며, 이는 도통손실의 감소와 능동클램프의 적용에 의한 스위칭 손실 감소의 결과로 판단된다. 제안된 컨버터와 삼상 PWM 스위칭 방식을 구간별로 해석하였고 시뮬레이션 하였다. 또한, 500 W 급 하드웨어로 구현 및 실험을 통하여 설계를 검증하고 그 결과를 분석을 하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 절연형 풀브릿지 컨버터의 고조파 변압기 2차측을 직렬로 연결하여 스위칭 주파수 증대효과가 있는 새로운 전력변환기를 제안하였다. 제안된 컨버터는 기존 방식에 비해 정류부와 필터부의 일원화가 가능한 구조로 수동소자의 수를 대폭 줄일 수 있다. 또한 제안된 전력변환기 구조에서 출력전압의 리플과 높은 승압비를 유지하기 위한 새로운 가변 위상 변위형 스위칭 방식을 제안하였다.

  • The interest and purpose of this study is to control of air-fuel ratio and develop control device of a spark ignition LPG engine with adopting open loop fuel system. The air-fuel ratio is derived by considering airflow resistane of air cleaner element. The result shows that air-fuel ratio becomes more and more rich when airflow resistance increases. Experiments about the influence of airflow resistance on the engine performance, drivability and emissions are performed. Therefore, it is known that open-loop fuel system depends on the absorbing resistance of air-cleaner.

  • 연료전지 시스템의 경우 계통에 Sag 및 Swell 같은 이상이 발생하더라도 계통과 분리되기 전 MBOP등 독립부하에는 안정적인 전원을 공급하는 것이 중요하다. 기존의 직접전류제어방식으로는 계통이상 시 전압을 제어할 수 없으므로 독립부하에 계통이상전압이 그대로 걸리게 된다. 본 논문에서는 계통에 Sag 및 Swell 같은 상황이 발생하더라도 무효전류를 제어하여 자체 부하전압을 보상할 수 있는 간접전류제어 전압보상기법을 이용한 계통 연계형 인버터의 동작을 분석하고 이에 맞는 소자 및 새로운 LCL필터 설계방법을 제안한다.

Performance Evaluation of an Automotive Fuel Filter by Multi-Pass Filtration Test (다순환 여과시험에 의한 자동차용 연료필터의 성능 평가)

  • Filtration performance of an automotive fuel filter was evaluated based on the theory of Beta ratio. This study also introduced the fuel components' contamination performance test stand incorporating the multi-pass filtration test circuit. The theoretical basis of multi-pass test and test procedure were described in detail. The specification of commercial fuel filter currently available was just the maximum pressure drop across the filter assembly and the holding capacity of contaminants. However, test results revealed that the fuel filter tested could not maintain consistent Beta ratio, that is filtration efficiency, although it had the holding capacity close to the specification. Hence the Beta ratio should be specified in service life. The results also showed that filtration system model should be refined including desorption ratio to estimate the variable Beta ratio in the test.
