A Study of Husband's Problem Drinking on the Wife's Problem Drinking -Focused on the mediating Effect of Spouse Abuse- (남성가구주의 음주가 배우자 음주에 미치는 영향 -배우자 폭력의 매개효과-)

  • Research has consistently reported a strong association between spouse abuse and problem drinking. The primary aim of this study was to examine the role of spouse abuse as mediator between the husband's problem and wife's problem drinking. Data from 1st year Korea Welfare Panel were used for the analysis. Subjects in this study consisted of 3,284 male household who aged between 19 years old and 64 years old. The statistical significance was tested by SPSS 18.0, AMOS 18.0. The findings of the study were as follows: First, husband's problem drinking were significantly affected to the wife's problem drinking. Second, there was a strong association between husband's problem drinking and spouse abuse. Third, spouse abuse worked as mediators between the husband's problem and wife's problem drinking. Based upon these findings we suggest to develop an integrated substance abuse-domestic violence treatment program. The implications and limitations of these findings were discussed, and directions for future studies were also proposed.

An effect coming to the problem solving ability from the problem posing activity by presenting the problem situation (문제 상황 제시에 따른 문제만들기 활동이 문제해결력에 미치는 영향)

  • This study has a purpose to find out how the problem posing activity by presenting the problem situation effects to the mathematical problem solving ability. It was applied in two classes(Experimental group-35, Controlled group-37) of the fourth grade at ‘D’ Elementary school in Bang Jin Chung nam and 40 Elementary school teachers working in Dang Jin. The presenting types of problem situation are the picture type, the language type, the complex type(picture type+ language type), the free type. And then let them have the problem posing activity. Also, We applied both the teaching-teaming plan and practice question designed by ourself. The results of teaching and learning activities according to the type of problem situation presentation are as follows; We found out that the learning activity of the mathematical problem posing was helpful to the students in the development of the mathematical problem solving ability. Also, We found out that the mathematical problem posing made the students positively change their attitude and their own methods for mathematical problem solving.

  • Problem development is important to Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and is key to the creativity and problem-solving skills of successful learners. The purpose of this study is to have PBL classes that effectively materialize problem development stages, and to develop learning using problems suitable for elementary school English Science classes. In this study, the steps for developing the problems are identifying educational content, identifying learners' characteristics, discovering problems, setting up roles and situations, and writing problems. Based on these steps, five PBL problems were developed by selecting a subject suitable for the PBL method of an English Science class, which is one of the English curriculums in elementary schools. Creative thinking, problem-solving skills, presentation skills, confidence, self-directed learning, cooperation, and communication skills are required in the rapidly changing society of the 21st century, rather than teacher-centered instruction, acquiring knowledge for correct answers only, and uniform assessments, which still take place in many English education settings. Therefore, developing problems suitable for PBL learning should be continuously studied.

  • In this paper we solve various triangle construction problems related with radius of escribed circle using algebraic method. We describe essentials and meaning of algebraic method solving construction problems. And we search relation between triangle construction problems, draw out 3 base problems, and make hierarchy of solved triangle construction problems. These construction problems will be used for creative mathematical investigation in gifted education.

  • 본 연구에서 퍼지인식도(Fuzzy Cognitive Map) 개념을 기초로 하여 (1) 특정 문제영역에 대한 전문가의 인과관계 지식(causal knowledge)을 추출하는 알고리즘을 제시하고, (2) 이 알고리즘에 기초하여 작성된 해당 문제영역에 대한 여러 전문가들의 인과관계 지식을 계층별로 분해하여, (3) 해당 계층간의 양방향 추론이 가능한 추론메카니즘을 제시하고자 한다. 특정 문제영역에 있어서의 인과관계 지식이란 해당 문제를 구성하는 여러 개념간에 존재하는 인과관계를 표현한 지식을 의미한다. 이러한 인과관계 지식은 기존의 IF-THEN 형태의 규칙과는 달리 행렬형태로 표현되기 때문에 수학적인 연산이 가능하다. 특정 문제영역에 대한 전문가의 인과관계 지식을 추출하는 알고리즘은 집합연산에 의거하여 개발되었으며, 특히 상반된 의견을 보이는 전문가들의 의견을 통합하여 하나의 통합된 인과관계 지식베이스를 구축하는데 유용하다. 그러나, 주어진 문제가 복잡하여 다양한 개념들이 수반되면, 자연히 인과관계 지식베이스의 규모도 커지게 되므로 이를 다루는데 비효율성이 개재되기 마련이다. 따라서 이러한 비효율성을 해소하기 위하여 주어진 문제를 여러계측(Hierarchy)으로 분해하여, 해당 계층별로 인과관계 지식베이스를 구축하고 각 계층별 인과관계 지식베이스를 연결하여 추론하는 메카니즘을 개발하면 효과적인 추론이 가능하다. 이러한 계층별 분해는 행렬의 분해와 같은 개념으로도 이해될 수 있다는 특징이 있어 그 연산이 간단명료하다는 장점이 있다. 이와같이 분해된 인과관계 지식베이스는 계층간의 추론메카니즘을 통하여 서로 연결된다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 상향 또는 하향방식이 추론이 가능한 양방향 추론방식을 제시하여 주식시장에서의 투자분석 문제에 적용하여 그 효율성을 검증하였다.

Creative Problem Solving Style, Self-leadership and Locus of Control in the Korean Engineering College Students (공대생들의 창의적 문제해결유형별 셀프리더십과 통제소재)

  • This study was conducted to compare the self-leadership strategies and locus of control between the problem-solving styles in the Korean engineering college students. Creative problem-solving styles were identified based on the three dimensions. The results of the two-way analysis of variances indicated the main effects of problem-solving styles; each problem-solving style had unique characteristics in relation to self-leadership strategies and locus of control. There were neither main effects of sex nor interaction effects of problem-solving styles and sex. It would be useful to provide the engineering students with the specialized self-leadership training program based on the problem-solving styles.

  • This study was conducted to explore factors for evaluating creative problem-solving ability and to identify measurement items. After reviewing the previous study, a questionnaire was conducted, and from that, 7 factors and 26 preliminary questions were obtained. Regarding the creative problem-solving ability, problem-discovery ability, idea generation ability, idea evaluation ability, and idea execution ability were confirmed in the problem-solving process. In addition, the factors of interaction ability between problem solving practitioners and creative efficacy of problem solving practitioners were explored. Finally, in the above results, metaphors and figurative cognitive thinking ability and evaluation items for creative problem-solving ability of HTE creative education model were presented. Through subsequent studies, we hope to serve as the groundwork of the evaluation model of HTE creative education.

  • Practicality and value of mathematics can be verified when different problems that we face in life are resolved through mathematical knowledge. This study intends to identify whether the fraction teaching is being taught and learned at current elementary schools for students to recognize practicality and value of mathematical knowledge and to have the ability to apply the concept when solving problems in the real world. Accordingly, contextual problems and noncontextual problems are proposed around fractional arithmetic area, and compared and analyze the achievement level and problem solving processes of them. Analysis showed that there was significant difference in achievement level and solving process between contextual problems and noncontextual problems. To instruct more meaningful learning for student, contextual problems including historical context or practical situation should be presented for students to experience mathematics of creating mathematical knowledge on their own.

  • 물류시스템설계 및 개선의 일환으로 차량운송계획 문제는 매우 중요시되는 분야이다. 본 연구는 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 통합물류 운송계획문제(Integrated Vehicle Routing Problem : IVRP)를 위한 전산화 모델의 개발로서 운송 중인 차량의 자동위치 조회시스템(Automatic Vehicle Location System : AVL)을 이용하여 차량운송의 통제기능을 높이며, 차량운송 효율을 높이는 목적으로 VRP문제와 AVL문제를 연계하는 통합운송시스템의 개념 연구이다. 본 연구에서는 다-물류센터를 고려한 운송 영역할당(Sector Clustering), 경로계획 문제(VRP) 및 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 운송순서 계획(GA-TSP)을 고려한 통합운송계획모델의 개발을 목적으로 차량의 운송간의 통신 및 통제 등의 기능을 위하여 위치 추적을 가진 GPS와 통신시스템을 위한 TRS 및 위치설정을 위한 GIS를 고려하였다. 본 연구에서의 AVL시스템 개발을 위한 GPS, GIS 및TRS 등 AVL시스템의 구성요소에 대하여 그 개요를 조사 연구하였다. 또한 GPS, GIS을 기반으로한 물류시스템의 구성과 시스템에 필요한 기능 및 구성요소를 파악하고 서브 시스템을 구성하여 각 서브 시스템의 기본설계를 실시하기 위한 연구이다.
