  • The objective of this study was to determine the effective land units of communal forests for evaluating forest functions using GIS. As the candidates of the effective land units, we chosen the administrative units of parcels and 3 different scales of watersheds; small, medium and large. However, the administrative units of parcels were discarded because of the extreme complexity of ownerships and the highly petty scales of parcels. Instead, the 3 different levels of watershed units were applied to evaluating forest functions and the effectiveness of the resultant functional maps were compared each other in terms of the appropriateness or adequacy for field applications. According to the results of this study, it was found that the aggregated area by watersheds provides the appropriate scales of land area for forest functions and the small watershed is the most adequate one as the effective land units for forest functions in communal forests.

  • This paper presents the developments of Grid computing architecture which is use many data and resources from distributed and parallel system for construction test equipments, i.e., large scale computer networks meant to provide access to massive computational facilities for very large communities of users, drawing upon experiences of existing Grids architecture. In this paper, we present an efficient way to construct a construction test equipment infrastructure.

  • In this study, we examined the effect of shared leadership on organizational trust, knowledge sharing, and innovative behavior. Also, it was verified that organizational trust and knowledge sharing play a mediating role in the relationship between shared leadership and innovative behavior. Data were collected from a survey of 348 manufacturing workers in Ulsan and Gyeongju. SPSS 22 was used for frequency analysis and exploratory factor analysis. AMOS 22 was used for confirmatory factor analysis to verify the validity of the variables and for covariance structure analysis to verify the research hypothesis. The results of this study are as follows. First, shared leadership has a significant positive effect on organizational trust, knowledge sharing, innovative behavior. Second, organizational trust has a significant positive effect on knowledge sharing and innovative behavior. Third, knowledge sharing has a significant positive effect on innovative behavior. Finally, organizational trust and knowledge sharing play a partial mediating role in the relationship between shared leadership and innovative behavior. The result of this study suggests that organizational trust and knowledge sharing should be strengthened through shared leadership in order to increase the innovative behavior of organization members.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of leader-member exchange(LMX) on employees' creativity, and task performance focusing on the mediating effect of information sharing and job involvement. Based on the review of related references, we suggested our research model and hypothesis and then tested empirically. From these analyses, we can find some significant findings. First, LMX has a positive impact on information sharing. Second, information sharing has a positive impact on job involvement, creativity, and task performance. Third, information sharing has significant mediating effects on the relationship between LMX and job involvement, creativity, and task performance. Fourth, job involvement also has significant mediating effects on the relationship between information sharing and creativity and task performance. These results showed that information sharing and job involvement played their role as a meaningful mediator.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore predicting the factors affecting knowledge sharing behavior in SNS based learning community. Besides, participative motivation, openness to diversity, and knowledge sharing intention were included as predictors for this study. In addition, this study investigated the mediating role of knowledge sharing intention between participative motivation, openness to diversity and knowledge sharing behavior. 81 people in SNS based learning community participated in this study. Data collected were analyzed by correlation analysis, regression analysis and Baron & Kenny's(1986) mediation analysis. Results from this study, knowledge sharing intention and activity-oriented motivation predicted knowledge sharing behavior. In addition, knowledge sharing intention mediated among activity-oriented motivation, openness to diversity and knowledge sharing behavior.

  • The concept of the sharing economy, which has shifted the economic paradigm from possession to access to resources, is consistent with the traditional and current roles of public libraries. Thus, this research empirically analyzed the influence relationships between public library use and the sharing economy. Results showed that participation in public library programs serves as a motivational factor for satisfaction with and trust in the sharing economy, while the use of public library facilities and equipment is correlated with attitudes toward and participation in the sharing economy. The use of library collections positively influences sharing intangible resources such as knowledge, information, and personal experience. By contrast, checking out library resources negatively influences the recognition of economic benefits from sharing, which is contrary to claims of library communities. Based on these results, public libraries should aim to have a complementary effect on the sharing economy founded not only on information networks but also human networks grounded in social relationships.
