Exploring user experience factors through generational online review analysis of AI speakers (인공지능 스피커의 세대별 온라인 리뷰 분석을 통한 사용자 경험 요인 탐색)

  • The AI speaker market is growing steadily. However, the satisfaction of actual users is only 42%. Therefore, in this paper, we collected reviews on Amazon Echo Dot 3rd and 4th generation models to analyze what hinders the user experience through the topic changes and emotional changes of each generation of AI speakers. By using topic modeling analysis techniques, we found changes in topics and topics that make up reviews for each generation, and examined how user sentiment on topics changed according to generation through deep learning-based sentiment analysis. As a result of topic modeling, five topics were derived for each generation. In the case of the 3rd generation, the topic representing general features of the speaker acted as a positive factor for the product, while user convenience features acted as negative factor. Conversely, in the 4th generation, general features were negatively, and convenience features were positively derived. This analysis is significant in that it can present analysis results that take into account not only lexical features but also contextual features of the entire sentence in terms of methodology.

  • Purpose: Various policies to reduce the energy consumption have been carried out to save Earth environment against global warming and environmental pollution in many countries. Energy consumption of buildings in Korea has reached 24% of total energy consumption, and energy consumption of apartment has been continuously increasing. Therefore, Korea government has executed building energy efficiency rating certification system to control energy consumption of buildings. Method: This study was conducted to evaluate the energy performance of apartment unit plans according to the increasement of front width of unit plans, and tried to present the basic data to design more energy conscious unit plans for apartments. For the study, three shapes of unit plans -the 2Bay, 3Bay and 4bay unit- were selected for imput models. They were simulated using ECO2 software to assess building energy efficiency rating certification in Korea. Result: According to the results, in cases that balcony windows were not installed, the primary energy consumption of the 3Bay and 4Bay units were less than 2Bay unit, respectively, 0.1% and 2,5%. The primary energy consumption of the 3Bay and 4Bay units, in cases that balcony windows were installed, was less than 2Bay unit, respectively, 1.7% and 3.2%.

  • 2000년대 이후 국내 통신시장이 인수합병을 통해 주요 사업자로 재편되면서 유무선과 차세대 신규 서비스를 중심으로 통신사업자간 경쟁이 치열하게 전개되고 있다. 통신사업자간 경쟁은 개별 서비스간 경쟁을 넘어 에코시스템의 경쟁으로 부상하고 있으며 이에 따라 요금경쟁, 결합서비스 제공경쟁, 신규 서비스 설비경쟁을 통한 고객지향적인 비즈니스 전략이 기업의 핵심전략으로 부각되고 있다. 이러한 시장에서의 경쟁은 사업자의 재무상황에 영향을 미치고 있다. 특히 국내 통신시장이 대부분 성숙기에 진입, 재무적 측면에서 매출이 정체되는 상황에서 마케팅 비용이 급증하는 현상이 나타나고 있다. 이에 본 고에서는 국내 주요 유무선 통신사업자의 재무추이를 분석하고 우리나라 통신시장의 지속적인 성장을 위한 시사점을 제시하였다.

A Qualitative Study on the Career-interrupted Lives of Career-Interrupted Women in their thirties (직업 경력단절 기혼 여성에 대한 질적 연구: 30대 여성의 경력단절 이후의 삶을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the career-interrupted lives of highly educated career-interrupted women. The participants were 11 women in their thirties who had graduated from university graduated and had a child. We collected the qualitative data using a focused group interview. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, in personal histories of the career-interrupted women, there were marriages and births, difficulties with child care, priority placed on the family, pressure to retire, and an absence of a layoff system related to births and child care. Second, with regard to their interrupted lives, while there was comfort and an absence of work-stress, there was child care stress, financial stress, anxiety due to career uncertainty, a loss of the social self, depression, emptiness, low self-esteem, dependence on husbands, regret, conflict in career choices, and envy of childcare support. Third, their reasons for seeking reemployment included the financial benefits, increased independence, self-realization in their job, hope for a stable job, self-management, and hope for a social network.

Employment Transitions and Suicide Ideation among Echo Generation (에코세대의 취업변화와 자살생각)

  • Background: This study aimed to investigate the association between employment transitions and suicide ideation among the echo generation. Methods: This study used survey data from the 2008 and 2010 Seoul Welfare Panel Study (Wave I, II). The sample population was restricted to the echo generation aged between18 and 31, and the total of 882 samples were included in the final dataset. Employment transitions were categorized into four groups. The groups were defined as 'employed-employed', 'unemployed-employed', 'employed-unemployed', and 'unemployed-unemployed'. We used logistic regression to find out the association between employment transitions and suicide ideation among the echo generation. Results: 'Employed-unemployed' and 'unemployed-unemployed' groups were likely to have an association with depression (odds ratio [OR], 1.49; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.46 to 1.51; OR, 1.57; 95% CI, 1.56 to 1.59) accordingly. 'Unemployed-unemployed' group also was related to suicide ideation (OR, 1.39; 95% CI, 1.36 to 1.42). Interestingly, 'unemployed-employed' group showed a strong association with suicide ideation among the echo generation (OR, 3.85; 95% CI, 3.75 to 3.95). Conclusion: Experience in unemployment increases the risk of depression and suicide ideation. Moreover, the precarious job also increases the risk of suicide ideation.

  • 20세기 디스플레이의 중심에 서 있던 브라운관이 1990년대 이후 PDP나 LCD 등 박형 평판디스플레이로 대체되면서 현재까지 스크린 사이즈의 중대형화, 고해상도화, 저소비전력화, 저가격화 등 다양한 노력들이 지속적으로 이루어져 왔다. 특히 TV와 디스플레이 산업에 있어 우리나라는 2004년 이후 세계 점유율 1위의 위치를 꾸준히 유지해 오고 있으나 2020년에 들어서면서 중국과의 격차가 1%대로 좁혀지고 있는 등 TV 시장에 대한 후발주자의 공세가 점차 거세지고 있다. 이에 따라 LCD에서 OLED나 마이크로 LED 등 차세대 디스플레이로의 사업구조 전환을 서두르고 있으며 후발주자의 추격 또한 만만치 않은 상황에 있다. 이러한 가운데 코로나 19를 계기로 비대면 문화가 확산되면서 IT 제품 수요가 지속적인 강세를 보이고 있으며 TV와 디스플레이도 대형 및 프리미엄 TV를 중심으로 그 수요가 빠르게 확대 개선되고 있는 추세로서 100인치대 내외의 대화면, 8K UHD와 같은 초고해상도, 5-10mm 수준의 초슬림에 대한 요구가 절정을 이루고 있다. 이를 위해 TV와 디스플레이를 구성하는 핵심 요소인 전원장치 또한 고전력밀도와 초솔림화를 위한 많은 연구 개발이 이루어지고 있으며 특히 최근 EU의 에코디자인 규정에 따라 디스플레이의 소비전력과 효율 또한 매우 중요한 이슈로 부각되고 있다. 한편, 최근까지 주류를 이루고 있는 LCD TV와 디스플레이용 전원장치의 경우 역률 개선을 위한 PFC(Power Factor Correction) 단과 LED 백라이트 및 영상보드의 전원공급을 위한 절연형 DC/DC 단으로 구성되며, OLED와 같은 저전압 대전류 디스플레이 소자의 경우 전반적인 전원장치의 구성은 유사하나 비절연형 DC/DC컨버터가 추가적으로 요구되기도 한다. 본고에서는 상기한 바와 같은 최근 추세에 따라 TV 및 디스플레이용 전원장치의 각 구성요소별로 고효율, 고밀도, 초슬림을 위한 전원회로 기술에 대해 간략히 소개한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 스마트 일렉트로 에코 시스템(Smart Electro-Eco System)의 일환으로 상황인지기반 가전 제품 원격 제어 및 관리 솔루션에 대해 기술한다. 본 솔루션 중 각 세대에 배치되는 홈 관리시스템은 n개의 특정기업 가전제품군과 원격 제어 애플리케이션, 홈 서버 시스템으로 구성된다. 또한 이러한 홈서버 시스템 m개로부터 데이터를 전송받아 분석 처리하는 빅데이터 서버 시스템이 있다. 홈 관리시스템에서는 가전제품에 부착된 센서의 센싱 데이터를 홈 서버 시스템으로 전송한다. 홈 서버 시스템에서는 실시간 가전제품 정보를 모니터링 및 원격 제어를 하고 설정된 상황이 인식되면 자동 제어 및 알림을 준다. 원격 제어 애플리케이션과 홈 서버 시스템의 통신으로 스마트 폰을 통해 가전제품 정보 및 원격 제어, NFC Tag를 이용한 원터치 제어를 할 수 있다. 빅데이터 서버 시스템에서는 대량의 데이터를 분석 및 통계를 내어 지역별, 시간대별 전류 소모량, 판매 실적 등을 측정하여 다음 버전에 나올 제품을 실제 데이터 통계로 인해 개선할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 기술하는 솔루션을 통하여 장소, 시간에 관계없이 홈을 스마트하게 관리할 수 있으며 가전제품 사용관련 빅데이터 처리를 통해 에너지의 효용성을 높일 수 있다.

Ceftriaxone Associated Biliary Pseudolithiasis (Ceftriaxone 사용후 발생된 Pseudolithiasis)

  • Purpose: Ceftriaxone, a potent parenteral third-generation semisynthetic cephalosporin is widely used for the treatment of a variety of bacterial infections in both children and adult. Review of recent data indicates that ceftriaxone treatment has been associated with the development of reversible biliary pseudolithiasis and that is thought by many to be a benign process. Despite, several reports describe patients with ceftriaxone pseudolithiasis who required cholecystectomy for presumed acute cholecystitis. In this study we evaluated the incidence, risk factors, and prognosis of gallbladder pseudolithiasis after ceftriaxone treatment. Methods: Between march, 1997 and January, 1998, any child admitted to the Children's hospital of National University of Seoul and prescribed ceftriaxone for probable or definite bacterial infection were eligible for the study. 21 of them had ultrasound examination on the 2~12 days later after the start of ceftriaxone treatment, 8 of whom documented gallbladder precipitates or pseudolithiasis during treatment by serial abdominal ultrasound. Repeat abdominal ultrasound was performed 10~80 days later after the end of ceftriaxone treatment. The children with underlying liver disease or decreased renal function were excluded in this study. Results: 1) 21 children had ultrasound examinations of gallbladder during ceftriaxone treatment and 8 (38%) of them acquired pseudolithiasis. 2) The patients who developed gallbladder pseudolithiasis were significantly older ($6.3{\pm}2.9$ yr. vs $2.2{\pm}3.1$ yr.)(p<0.05), and older than 24 months were probably the significant risk associated with this phenomenon (p<0.05). However, no significant differences in sex, type of infection, fasting, and ceftriaxone treatment regimen (dose, duration of therapy). 3) The abnormality found on gallbladder ultrasonography was a strikingly hyperechogenic material with post-acoustic shadowing in 5 patients without post-acoustic shadowing in 3 patients 4) Follow up of gallbladder ultrasound was performed in 6 patients after cessation of ceftriaxone treatment. Sonographic abnormalities completely resolved within 14 days post cessation of therapy in 2 patients; 30 days, 1 patient; 80 days, 3 patients. Conclusions: We suggest that routine abdominal ultrasound should be considered in all children who received high dose ceftriaxone in more than 24 months of age and developed hepatobiliary symptoms during or just after ceftriaxone treatment.

Efficiency of Density Gradient Centrifugation Method (Ludox method) Based on eDNA for the Analysis of Harmful Algal Bloom Potential (유해남조류 발생 잠재성 분석을 위한 eDNA 기반의 퇴적물 전처리 방법: 밀도 구배 원심분리법(Ludox method))

  • Environmental DNA (eDNA) can exist in both intracellular and extracellular forms in natural ecosystems. When targeting harmful cyanobacteria, extracellular eDNA indicates the presence of traces of cyanobacteria, while intracellular eDNA indicates the potential for cyanobacteria to occur. However, identifying the "actual" potential for harmful cyanobacteria to occur is difficult using the existing sediment eDNA analysis method, which uses silica beads and cannot distinguish between these two forms of eDNA. This study analyzes the applicability of a density gradient centrifugation method (Ludox method) that can selectively analyze intracellular eDNA in sediment to overcome the limitations of conventional sediment eDNA analysis. PCR was used to amplify the extracted eDNA based on the two different methods, and the relative amount of gene amplification was compared using electrophoresis and Image J application. While the conventional bead beating method uses sediment as it is to extract eDNA, it is unknown whether the mic gene amplified from eDNA exists in the cyanobacterial cell or only outside of the cell. However, since the Ludox method concentrates the intracellular eDNA of the sediment through filtration and density gradient, only the mic gene present in the cyanobacteria cells could be amplified. Furthermore, the bead beating method can analyze up to 1 g of sediment at a time, whereas the Ludox method can analyze 5 g to 30 g at a time. This gram of sediments makes it possible to search for even a small amount of mic gene that cannot be searched by conventional bead beating method. In this study, the Ludox method secured sufficient intracellular gene concentration and clearly distinguished intracellular and extracellular eDNA, enabling more accurate and detailed potential analysis. By using the Ludox method for environmental RNA expression and next-generation sequencing (NGS) of harmful cyanobacteria in the sediment, it will be possible to analyze the potential more realistically.
