Acoustic Emission Feedback for Precison Laser Deburring (정밀 레이저 디버링을 위한 어쿠스틱 에미션 피드백)

  • Sensor feedback for process control is one of the essential elements is an automated deburring procedure. This paper presents the implementation of acoustic emission (AE), which has been developed as a feedback sensing technique for precision (mechanical) deburring, in a precision laser deburring process. AE signals were sampled for laser machining/deburring under various experimental conditions and analyzed using several signal-processing methods including AErms and spectral analysis. The results, such as the sensitivity of AE signals for different laser cutting depths, edge detection capability and the frequency analysis show a clear correlation between physical process parameters and the AE signals. A subsequent control strategy for deburring automation is also briefly discussed.

  • The paper presents available options that Korea can adopt in an effort to promote eco-industrial development in a near future. What is missing and the reasons why Korea is behind the other countries in the area are: 1) Lack of holistic view and the integrated approach toward economy and environment in policy implementation, 2) Lack of understanding, among entrepreneurs, of the concept of productivity per input resource, and the fact that not only labor and capital productivity but also the total productivity enhancement is vital for industry's competitive edge; There has been no driving force in the market to develop economies of system integration to turn industrial wastes to valuable input resources, 3) Unsupportive regulatory system regarding the trade of by products, and 4) Lack of financing and incentive mechanism. 5) Lack of information forum. Regulatory reform should be taken for the direction that in effect increase the price of disposal and motivate firms to seek symbiotic relationship with other firms, and facilitate trade by-product between firms. Financing and incentive mechanism should be introduced in order for the industry to find easy access to the opportunities for organizing the network to transform wastes in negative value to the value added resources. Also information network should be established to provide a market for by-product exchange and public education to improve industry's environmental performance.

  • 제로 에미션(zero emission)이란 영어를 뜻대로 번역하면 "배출을 없게 한다"라고 할 수 있다. 그러나, 이는 현재까지의 기술로 대기오염의 배출영역까지 제로화는 불가능하므로 이 부분을 포함시키는 것은 적합하지 않고, 유상이던 무상이던 매립되는 최종 처분량인 배출물(폐기물)을 제로화 시키는 운동으로 정의되고 있다. 즉, 대상으로 하는 산업에서 발생하는 배출물을 다른 산업의 자원으로 재이용(recycling)하고, 산업 관련망으로 배출물이 나오지 않게 네트워크 시스템을 구축하는 일종의 환경운동으로 이해하면 좋을 것이다.(중략)

  • 열분해를 이용한 폐기물의 처리가 여러 유해물질을 저감시킬 수 있다는 기대감으로 국내에서도 열분해를 이용한 폐기물 처리 관련 연구가 많이 진행되고 있다. 아울러 폐기물을 열분해 한 후에 산소를 공급하여 가스화와 동시에 잔재를 용융시키는 열분해 가스화 용융이나 예열공기와 혼합하여 고온으로 연소시키면서 잔재를 용융하는 열분해 연소 용융 등의 방식이 개발되면서 다이옥신과 소각재의 발생을 차단하는, 환경적으로는 제로 에미션(zero-emission)에 근접하는 기술에 대한 관심도 높아지고 있다.(중략)

  • In this paper, a model of material removal in abrasive water jet machining of brittle material is developed, and experimentally evaluated. Abrasive water jet machining proved to yield better material removal rate than other machining techniques for hard and brittle material (alumina ceramics). It was also found that large scale fracture may develop at the exit of the jet from the material. The fracture size was predicted as a function of water jet pressure and size of the hole. Finally, the feasibility of using acoustic emission signals for in-process monitoring of the abrasive water jet machining process is investigated.

  • This paper describes the power performance and emission characteristics of the high speed direct injection diesel engine (2.9 litter displacements) driven by soybean oil asknown a bio diesel fuel. The results were compared to diesel fuel with blending bio diesel fuels. The soybean bio diesel fuel was added in the diesel fuel in concentration varying from 25% to 75% volume rates. We measured the emissions according to ECE 13 mode and full load, fixedengine speed. When the 25% bio diesel fuel was used, NOx emission at the ECE 13 mode test slightly decreased compared with diesel base engine. Over engine speed of 2000 rpm, the level of unburned hydrocarbon(HC) and carbon monoxide(CO) were the same to the diesel engine. Smoke emission decreased asthe blending bio diesel fuel rate increased.

  • The main objective of this research is to develop a system which will provide a more efficient fuel saying measure for the current marine products industry situation caused by the increased cost of oil. For that function, the developed system has been verified using the medium of blending oil known as the MF 30 class. As a result, MF 30 was confirmed meeting the International Standard for NOx emissions and content of Sulfur. Oil composition and soot level analysis showed that it is acceptable to use MF 30 class in condition of proper engine running operation and pre-refinery treatment.

  • 청정지역으로 규정된 제로에미션 지역을 통과하기 위해서는 배터리를 포함한 전기시스템을 사용하여 외력 특성과 무관하게 안정된 운전성능을 유지해야만 한다. 또한 전기시스템이 항구에서 완충된 상태로 출항이 진행되어서 목표지점에 도착한 경우 뿐만 아니라, 운항 중 발전기 시스템에서 배터리를 충전하고 회항지점에서 항구까지 안정된 전력을 유지해야만 한다. 그러나 운항이 진행되면서 선체에 작용되는 외력을 극복하기 위해 추진력을 급속히 변화하게 된다. 이러한 방법은 제한된 에네지를 사용하는 전기시스템에서 급격한 속도 변화는 에너지 사용량을 증가시키고, 진동, 발진등 추진체에 수명을 단축시키는 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 전기시스템의 전력 변화량을 기반으로 제로에미션을 운항하는 운전방법을 제안한다. 제안된 속도제어방법은 모드별로 선정된 속도변화량을 기준으로 모터의 토크응답성과 전력 변화특성을 PSIM을 사용하여 모의시험하였고, 구동부 하드웨어를 구현하여 성능을 부하 모의시험장치에서 검증하였다.
