A Study on Design for Energy-saving Based on Analysis of Current Situation in School Facilities (학교시설 현황분석을 통한 에너지절약설계 개선방향 연구)

  • We suggest improvement direction of energy-saving design based on analysis of current situation in school facilities. School facilities have large area among public buildings. While the number of students is decreasing, the number of school and energy consumption is increasing year after year. School facilities have excellent heat insulation property, but it requires further examination about excessive heat insulation plan. School facilities are using gas heat pump actively for cooling and heating, but has difference in use ratio of ground source heat pump by region. Thus School facilities requires active using of ground source heat pump and BIPV(Building Integrated Photovoltaic System).

  • 대체에너지의 대안으로서 차량에 의한 풍력을 사용함으로서 이 연구의 목적은 다음 3가지로 요약할 수 있다. 첫째, 차량 풍에 의한 풍력에너지를 통해 환경 친화적인 대체 에너지 자원을 안전하게 얻는다는 것이다. 둘째, 관련 교수들을 위한 교육 프로그램이 개발되었다는 것이다. 셋째, 대체에너지 교육을 위해 풍력발전 프로그램을 만들었다는 것이다. 본 연구는 6개월간 수행되었으며, 다음 3가지 결과를 얻었다. 차량 풍을 이용한 시스템이 모델링 되었다. 전기, 전자, 기계공학과들을 위한 새로운 교육 프로그램이 만들어졌고, 마지막으로 풍력발전 시스템 실제 교육을 위한 대체에너지 실험용 시연장치가 만들어졌다.

The Quantitative Effect of Environmental Education on Energy-Saving and Garbage-Reducing Behaviour (환경교육이 에너지 및 쓰레기 절감에 미치는 정량적 효과에 관한 연구)

  • Although environmental education has increased in importance, few studies have been performed on the quantitative effect of environmental education on energy-saving and garbage-reducing behavior. Accordingly, this study quantitatively analyses the effect of environmental education on energy-saving and garbage-reduction. In this study, we compared reduction in energy use and garbage production between two groups, one receiving specialized and focused environmental education, and one receiving only general environmental education. We found that focused environmental education resulted in some quantifiably positive effects in encouraging energy-saving and garbage-reducing behavior. Specifically, household energy costs and amounts of school food waste for children receiving specialized environmental training were noticeably lower than those for children receiving only general environmental education. These results suggest that enhanced environmental education policy, including the launching of an environmental model school, is needed both to reduce energy use and garbage production.

  • The purpose of this study was the development of green technology education program for elementary school creative activities. The result of this study were follow. Basically this program was developed through three steps of preparation, development and improvement. First, in the preparation step, Need analysis were analyzed by investigation the needs of the society. Then the themes of this program were determined by thestages based on the National and social issues. Second, in the development step, the following was included. 1) Begin with Setting up education goals of this program. 2) selecting of learning object and content. 3) structuring educational program. Third, in the improvement step, program was verified of validity by experts

  • The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (MOLIT) is implementing a zero-energy building (ZEB) certification to save energy for the building section and to accelerate the achievement of national greenhouse gases reduction goals in accordance with a new climate regime. In 2014, the MOLIT announced a plan for early activation of the ZEB, and in January 2016, the "Green Buildings Construction Support Act" was revised and established. In addition, the plan was established to gradually spread zero-energy buildings from the public sector in 2020 to the private sector by 2025. Therefore, this study analyzed the self-sufficiency rate of each energy factor according to the implementation of the zero energy building certification of school facilities that belong to the public sector and are included in the mandatory zero energy buildings from 2020.

An Investigation of Elementary School Students' Conception on Energy (에너지에 대한 초등학생들의 개념 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate elementary school students' conceptions about the energy represented in the integrated theme 'Energy and life' of the 2015 revised science curriculum. The instruments were developed to grasp students' understanding about 'the concepts of energy,' 'forms of energy,' 'conversion of energy,' and 'energy use of plants and animals.' The surveys were conducted on 92 elementary school students in Seoul. The students' answers were analyzed by descriptive statistics, clouds and semantic network analysis. The results are as follows: 'Electricity' and 'electric energy' were most frequently mentioned as the associated concepts to energy and forms of energy, respectively. Also, the daily use of energy was mixed to the use in science. According to conceptual hierarchy, understanding of energy conversion was dependent on the understanding of energy forms. Although students have basic concepts about the energy use of plants and animals, they had some misconceptions and lack of understanding. The educational implications were discussed to teach 'Energy and Life' as integrated theme in new elementary school curriculum.

  • 최근 ESCO성과보증방식의 정책적인 확산에 따라 에너지절감량 측정 및 검증(M&V)에 대한 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 에너지절감량을 구체적으로 산출하고 측정, 검증하는 과정인 M&V는 정확한 ESCO사업을 수행하기 위한 필수적인 과정이다. 협회는 2012년 2월 20일부터 25일까지 5박 6일간 대만 ESCO협회(TESA)와의 업무협력을 통해 대만의 M&V 전문교육기관에서 21명의 참석자와 함께 '2012 해외 ESCO M&V 교육' 과정을 마치고 돌아왔다. 현장 사진과 (주)에코시안 엄기현 팀장과 김용희 대리의 참관기를 통해 뜨거웠던 교육 현장을 소개한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 신재생 에너지 Bio-Energy와 STEAM교육의 연구 사례를 살펴보고 이를 토대로 초등학교 5-6학년을 위한 바이오에너지를 이용한 STEAM 교육프로그램과 수업방안을 제시한다. 5-6학년의 지적 발달 수준과 흥미를 고려하여 교육프로그램을 구상하고 이에 따른 교재와 교사용 지도서를 개발하였고, 학습용 미생물 연료전지 교구도 개발하였다. 개발된 교육프로그램의 실효성을 검증하기 위해 제주도내 5-6학년 학생 10명을 대상으로 6차시동안 단계별로 교육을 진행하였다. 향후 추적연구 및 확대 적용이 이루어질 예정이며, 신기술 주제의 STEAM교육을 지도함으로써 좋은 효과를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Photocatalytic Properties of WO3 Thin Films Prepared by Electrodeposition Method (전기증착법으로 제조된 WO3 박막의 광촉매 특성)

  • Tungsten trioxide ($WO_3$) is a promising candidate as a photocatalyst because of its outstanding electrical and optical properties. In this study, we prepare $WO_3$ thin films by electrodeposition and characterize the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue using these films. Depending on the voltage conditions (static and pulse), compact and porous $WO_3$ films are fabricated on a transparent ITO/glass substrate. The morphology and crystal structure of electrodeposited $WO_3$ thin films are investigated by scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and X-ray diffraction. An application of static voltage during electrodeposition yields a compact layer of $WO_3$, whereas a highly porous morphology with nanoflakes is produced by a pulse voltage process. Compared to the compact film, the porous $WO_3$ thin film shows better photocatalytic activities. Furthermore, a much higher reaction rate of degradation of methylene blue can be achieved after post-annealing of $WO_3$ thin films.

Viologen Based All-in-one Flexible Electrochromic Devices (바이올로진 기반의 일체형 유연 전기변색소자)

  • Electrochromic devices (ECDs) have been drawing great attention due to their high color contrast, low power consumption, and memory effect, and can be used in smart windows, automatic dimming mirrors, and information display devices. As with other electronic devices such as LEDs (light emitting diodes), solar cells, and transistors, the mechanical flexibility of ECDs is one of the most important issue for their potential applications. In this paper, we report on flexible ECDs (f-ECDs) fabricated using an all-in-one EC gel, which is a mixture of electrolyte and EC material. The f-ECDs are compared with rigid ECDs (r-ECDs) on ITO glass substrate in terms of color contrast, coloration efficiency, and switching speed. It is confirmed that the f-ECDs embedding all-in-one gel show strong blue absorption and have competitive EC performance. Repetitive bending tests show a degradation of electrochromic performance, which must be improved using an optimized device fabrication process.
