The development of a back analysis program for subsea tunnel stability under operation: longitudinal direction (운영 중 해저 터널의 안정성 평가를 위한 역해석 프로그램 개발: 종단방향)

  • If a back analysis is used in various measurement information for the estimation of an operating subsea tunnel safety, it is possible to obtain the results within efficient error rate. With such a commercial geotechnical analysis program as FLAC3D, back analysis is performed with a DEA which was validated in previous studies. However, there is a problem that is relatively a time-consuming analysis. For this reason, beam-spring model-based FEM solver which takes shorter relative analysis time, was developed by Python language, and then combined with the built-DEA. In order to consider the assessment of safety of an operation tunnel near real-time, a program for longitudinal direction tunnel was developed due to its relative easy development for analysis solver engine.

Design of Educational Game for Development of Creativity (창의력 계발을 위한 학습게임의 설계)

  • Recently, the primary school training courses requires creative human being who is able to solve problem in accordance with rapidly changing society. Accordingly, it needs development of edutainment contents that can develop creativity and heighten educational effect as attracting learner's interest. This paper intends to design educational game which can develop creativity. Method of research is based on the concept of creativity and theory of multiple intelligence. First, I pulled out educational elements of edutainment game which can develop ability to solve synthetic problem and then drew interest elements of edutainment game by combined game with form of cartoon. Secondly, creativity studying area set the 5 learning area of verbal, visual, mathematical, logical and analytic creativity and then, a course of learning was designed to have each 3 details of 5 teaming areas of creativity. Finally, it presented production direction of educational game by combined with 4 elements of the interest that is an avatar, achievement of a mission, a time limit and win a point.

  • The Internet had been taken properties which were both a slow speed and low-bandwidth of the first time. It was impossible to transmit large multimedia data because of a Internet properties. After tens of Year Passed, many people began to transmit multimedia data in the Internet which had fast-speed and high-bandwidth. Some people want to team classes to be taught in school through the Internet. And, educators wish to use multimedia data in the educational field. Due to previous reasons, many parts in the educational field had tried to join real-time objects to multimedia objects. But, real-time data didn’t appear easily due to many faults like network errors and system bugs if we want to control data in order to teach and learn classes. Then, this paper separates real-time and unreal-time data and controls these data that aye made a time scheduler to have time information in the extended SMIL-file for deceasing these faults.

Sensor Node Control Algorithm Based on TinyOS (TinyOS 기반의 센서 노드 제어 알고리즘)

  • Recently, there is developing various ubiquitous application services using sensor networks based on TinyOS represented the operating system of sensor node. These sensor networks perform the collection and the transmission of sensing data from sensor node to get the context information. In this paper, we proposes the sensor node control algorithm which converts a sensor node to sleep, active, power off mode according to monitoring result of the voltage state of sensor node. Also, we designs and implement the sensor control module on server, sink, sensor node of sensor networks using this algorithm. It designs a sensor voltage control module of sensor node, data receive and display module of USN server using a java language and TinyOS. And, it checks the voltage state of sensor node, and it changes one of the sleep or power off modes in case of high voltage loss. Accordingly, we effectively use the power of sensor nodes as changing control modes of sensor nodes.

  • In this paper, analyze the technical elements of the CTI system to design the proposed system, understand the requirements of CTI IP based system. in the Hearing-Impaired designed a CTI system of mobile phone-based services available to the CTI call center system based on this. Furthermore, we implemented voiceXML scenario data analysis modules using the JAVA language to implement the system was designed, the server provides. And an implementation of the CTI system of mobile phone base for the Hearing-Impaired by integrating the modules that have been implemented. Finally, create a scenario that uses the CTI system for mobile base to test and evaluation, based on the test scenario each functional, we conducted repeated tests. It was possible to confirm the results of time for the acquisition of the test result information has been reduced about 20 seconds on average than the audio system based on conventional.

Transportation Network Data Generation from the Topological Geographic Database (GIS위상구조자료로부터 교통망자료의 추출에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents three methods of generating the transportation network data out of the topological geographic database in the hope that the conversion of the geographic database file containing the topology to the conventional node-link type trans¬portation network file may facilitate the integration between transportation planning mod¬els and GIS by alleviating the inherent problems of both computing environments. One way of the proposed conversion method is to use the conversion software that allows the bi-directional conversion between the UTPS (Urban Transportation Planning System) type transportation planning model and GIS. The other two methods of data structure conversion approach directly transform the GIS's user-level topology into the transportation network data topology, and have been introduced with codes programmed with FORTRAN and AML (Arc Macro Language) of ARC/INFO. If used successfully, any approach would not only improve the efficiency of transportation planning process and the associated decision-making activities in it, but enhance the productivity of trans¬portation planning agencies.

  • This paper presents a method of generating 3-dimensional images by preprocessing 2-dimensional abdominal images obtained using CT (computed tomography) and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) through segmentation, threshold technique, etc. and apply the method to virtual endoscopy. Three-dimensional images were visualized using indirect volume rendering, which can render at high speed using a general-purpose graphic accelerator used in personal computers. The algorithm used in the rendering is Marching Cubes, which has only a small volume of calculation. In addition, we suggested a method of producing 3-dimensional images in VRML (virtual reality modeling language) running on the Web browser without a workstation or an exclusive program. The number of nodes, the number of triangles and the size of a 3-dimensional image file from CT were 85,367, 174,150 and 10,124, respectively, and those from MRI were 34,029, 67,824 and 3,804, respectively.

  • We have developed software for converting the volumetric voxel data obtained from X-ray computed tomography(CT) into computer-aided design(CAD) data. The developed software can used for non-destructive testing and evaluation, reverse engineering, and rapid prototyping, etc. The main algorithms employed in the software are image reconstruction, volume rendering, segmentation, and mesh data generation. The feasibility of the developed software is demonstrated with the CT data of human maxilla and mandible bones.

  • 다품종소량생산의 특징을 갖고 있는 금형공업에서 컴퓨터통합생산시스템(Computer Integrated Manufacturing System;CIMS)의 실현을 위한 중요한 분야의 하나는 부품설계도면으로부터 최종제품을 생산하는데 필요한 공정계획의 자동화, 즉 컴퓨터를 이용하여 공정계획을 자동적으로 생성하는 자동공정계획시스템(Computer Aided Process Planning;CAPP) 기술의 개발이다. 국내외적으로 CAPP분야의 연구는 컴퓨터 지원에 의한 자동화 기술의 급속한 발전과 더불어 지난 20여년 동안에 기계가공품에 관한 CAPP은 약 150여가지가 개발되었으나, 이는 컴퓨터 지원에 의한 설계의 자동화(Computer Aided Design;CAD)나 컴퓨터 지원에 의한 제조의 자동화(Computer Aided Manufacturing;CAM)분야에 비해 상대적으로 저조한 형편이다. 특히 금형을 대상으로 한 CAPP시스템의 개발은 아직 초기단계에 있기 때문에, 본 연구에서는 사출금형을 대상으로 하여 실용성이 있는 공정설계시스템을 개발함을 목적으로 한다. 일반적으로 공정계획은 "소재로부터 제품을 경제적, 효율적으로 생산하는데 필요한 제조공정의 체계적인 결정"이라고 정의할 수 있다. 공정계획은 제품의 종류와 수량, 재료와 부품의 종류, 보유 생산설비와 제조기술의 수준에 따라 다르나, 공정설계(Process Design)와 작업설계(Operation Design)로 구분할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 공정계획을 광의의 공정설계로 정의하고, 공정설계와 공정계획을 동의어로 통용토록 한다. 기존의 CAPP시스템의 개발에 관한 기본적인 접근방법은 변성형방법(Variant method), 창성형방법(Generative method) 및 자동화방법(Automatic method)이 있다. 이들 CAPP시스템을 개발할 때 사용하는 기법은 크게 5가지- (1) GT(group Technology) 접근기법, (2) Bottom-up 접근기법, (3) Top-down 접근기법, (4) AI와 전문가시스템(Expert System) 접근기법, (5) 컴퓨터 프로그래밍 언어 - 로 분류할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 전문가시스템 기법을 도입해서 사출금형 공정계획전문가의 지식과 경험을 획득하여 지식베이스를 구축하고, 전문가시스템 셀(shell)중 CLIPS를 이용하여 자동공정계획시스템인 Mold CAPP을 개발하였다.PP을 개발하였다.

The Purpose of Mathematics Education Based on Michael Polanyi's Epistemology (폴라니의 인식론에 기초한 수학교육의 목적)

  • This article discusses the purpose of mathematics education based on the epistemology of Michael Polanyi. According to Polanyi, studying is seeking after the truth and pursuing the reality. He opposes to separate humanity and knowledge on account that no knowledge possibly exists without its owners. He assumes tacit knowledge hidden under explicit knowledge. Tacit knowing is explained with the relation between focal awareness and subsidiary awareness. In the epistemology of Polanyi, teaching and learning of mathematics should aim for change of students' minds in whole pursuing the intellectual beauty, which can be brought about by the operation of their minds in whole. In other words, mathematics education should intend the cultivation of mind. This can be accomplished when students learn mathematical knowledge as his personal knowledge and obtain tacit mathematical knowledge.
