  • 자원이 풍부한 언어를 사용하여 훈련된 모델을 만들고 해당 모델을 사용해 자원이 부족한 언어에 대해 전이 학습하는 방법인 교차언어 전송(Cross-Lingual Transfer)은 다국어 모델을 사용하여 특정한 언어에 맞는 모델을 만들 때 사용되는 일반적이고 효율적인 방법이다. 교차언어 전송의 성능은 서비스하는 언어와 전송 모델을 만들기 위한 훈련 데이터 언어에 따라 성능이 매우 다르므로 어떤 언어를 사용하여 학습할지 결정하는 단계는 효율적인 언어 서비스를 위해 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 교차언어 전송을 위한 원천언어를 찾을 수 있는 특성이 무엇인지 회귀분석을 통해 탐구한다. 또한 교차언어전송에 용이한 원천 학습 언어를 찾는 기존의 방법론들 간의 비교를 통해 더 나은 방법을 도출해내고 한국어의 경우에 일반적으로 더 나은 원천 학습 언어를 찾을 수 있는 방법론을 도출한다.

  • 사람은 성장 배경이나 학습에 따라 고유의 언어 사용 특성을 가지게 된다. 이러한 언어 사용 특성은 개인의 언어 유창성에 대한 지표를 제공하며, 언어 사용 특성에 대한 분석은 장애에 따른 변화에도 능동적으로 대처할 수 있게 한다. 그러나 어떤 특정인의 언어 사용 특성을 파악하는 연구는 아직 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 개인 언어 사용 특성 파악을 위하여 일차적으로 일반인들의 그림 설명글 데이터를 모았으며, 이에 대한 분석 결과에 기반하여 언어 장애 진단에 적용하기 위한 언어 사용 특성을 파악하고자 한다. 본 연구의 결과로 형태소 단위, 단어 단위, 그리고 내용 전달의 방식에 따른 개인의 언어 사용특성을 일부 파악할 수 있었으며, 이와 같은 특성은 향후 치매와 같은 인지 기능 장애로 인한 언어 사용의 변화를 추적하는데 중요한 실마리를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • Internet, the heart of information network in information society, functions as a major communication tool, and the use of language through internet has become an unavoidable reality. In that context, this study builds a theoretical base on the use of language in internet, analyzes inappropriate use of language in internet in terms of 'sound', 'grammar', and 'meaning'; discusses, based on the findings, 'digital thinking', 'user transition', and 'netiquette and information education'.

Mathematical language levels of middle school students (중학생들의 수학적 언어 수준)

  • This study investigated the understanding level and the using level of mathematical language for middle school students in terms of Freudenthal' language levels. It was proved that the understanding level task developed by current study for geometric concept had reliability and validity, and that there was the hierarchy of levels on which students understanded mathematical language. The level that students used in explaining mathematical concepts was not interrelated to the understanding level, and was different from answering the right answer according to the sorts of tasks. And, the level of mathematical language that was understood easily as students' thought, was the third level of the understanding levels. Mathematics teachers should consider the students' understanding level and using level, and give students the tasks which students could use their mathematical language confidently.

  • In this study, we investigated the interlanguage of ninth graders that was used to classify and explain the phenomena related to the change of the matters in a group discussion and semi-structured interview. The patterns of the interlanguage were classified and analyzed through the change of their understanding of science languages. The analyses of the results suggested that the interlanguage of the students are classified into the three patterns according to its meaning and form. Pattern 1 is science language used in combination with everyday language to express scientific meaning. This was used by most students regardless of the level of understanding of science languages. Pattern 2 is everyday language used to show scientific meaning, which was used by students who had better understanding of science languages than the others. Pattern 3 is using languages with multiple meaning, which was mainly used by students who have superficial understanding of science languages. Educational implications of these findings are discussed.

  • 문제: 병원에서는 잘못 사용하는 신체 관련 언어, 문법적으로 틀린 말, 비속어, 지나친 겸양어, 잘못 사용하는 존칭어, 격에 안 맞는 준말 등으로 내부 및 외부 고객과의 의사전달이 정확하지 않은 경우가 흔히 있다. 병원 직원의 부적절한 언어 사용은 외부 고객 유치 및 유지를 방해하며, 병원의 이미지 실추와도 관련이 있다. 목적: 바른 언어 표현법 매뉴얼과 동영상 구축 및 활용으로 내부 및 외부 고객의 만족도를 향상시키고자 한다. 의료기관: 서울시 종로구에 소재한 대학병원 질 향상 활동: 바른 언어 표현법 매뉴얼 구축 후 동영상을 완성하여 병원의 모든 직원들이 학습하여 활용할 수 있도록 하였다. 개선효과: 바른 언어 표현법을 잘 학습하면 바른 언어를 사용하는 습관을 가지게 되어 의사전달이 명확해지고 표현이 풍부해지며 상호간 이해하는 폭이 넓어져 내부 고객 및 외부 고객의 만족도가 향상될 것이다. 또한 병원직원 전체 언어생활의 품격이 높아질 뿐만 아니라 병원의 위상도 높아질 것이다.

  • According evolution of computer technology, computers execute complex and several tasks. Because of the complexity of program and restriction of programming language, applications are implemented using one more programming language. But it is no general methodology for using several languages and implementing it. This paper classified usages of programming language integration and methodology for implements programming languages integration through HLID(Heterogeneous Language Integration Degree) for solving above problem. And using HLID, it designed and implemented Java Preprocessor that improvement JNI-current implementation for integration between object-oriented language Java and procedural language C.

  • ‘Set’ is a tool that is used frequently in designing computer programs. Because of the reason, ‘set constraints languages’ have been developed recently. In this research, we introduce ‘(Ab)(Cl) set unification’ problem and implement it using the ‘set equation rewriting in Prolog’. In this research we shows that the set unification, that is considered to be difficult to be implemented in procedural languages, ran be implemented easily using the non-deterministic control structure and the list data structure in logic language like Prolog. Our research uses the Ciao Prolog with GNU GPL, this is compared with other existing implementations which used expensive commercial Prolog, so anyone can use the result freely. Currently the result is being used for implementing a set constraint language.

C2JNI: An Embedded C to JNI Translator (C2JNI: 내장 C 언어에서 JNI 코드를 생성하는 변환기)

  • Java, a platform independent object-oriented programming language, is widely used, however it should be integrated with JNI to use system services or to reuse legacy systems. Though JNI provides the standard APIs which allow Java to be combined with C/$C^{++}$, it is very hard and cumbersome for developers to use JNI APIs. In order to address this problem, we introduce a translator named C2JNI, which converts the embedded C program into a JNI compatible C program. With C2JNI, developers can Integrate Java and C programs without JNI APIs, and it will reduce the complexity caused by JNI APIs.

Language use in multicultural families and the acceptance of multiculturalism: A case study of Korea (한국 다문화 가정의 언어사용과 다문화 수용 양상)

  • I researched the acceptance attitude to the multiculturalism of Korean people and the relationship between language and society through two Korean films, and . And I researched the language form in the multicultural families in the way conducting the survey targeting international marriage immigrant women. The content and conclusion in shortly are as in the following. (1) The acceptance attitude to the multiculturalism of Korean people is somewhat positive in such a case having no interests among themselves. (2) It depends upon the society and the culture for the foreigners to come into contact and learn the language easily. It means well-adapted to the certain society for the foreign workers to use status-language such as slang and jargon in the society. And this is the good example to show us the relationship between the language and certain society. (3) The language form of the multicultural families in Korea is mainly Korean, but two languages are used in order to communicate well with monolingual. This is called 'bilingualism', and according to the result of my research I think it is 'listening comprehension type bilingualism'. From this time forward it is urgently needed to develop the contents in relation to multiculturalism and the 'bilingualism' education program for multicultural families instead of the education of Korean being limited to communication itself in order to improve adaptiveness to multiculturalism in Korean society.
