Convergence analysis of determinants affecting on geographic variations in the prevalence of arthritis in Korean women using data mining (데이터마이닝을 이용한 여성 관절염 유병률 소지역 간 변이의 융복합 요인분석)

  • This study aims to identify determinants affecting on geographic variations in the prevalence of arthritis in Korean women using data mining. Data from Korean Community Health Survey 2012 with 249 small districts were analyzed. Socio-demographic, health behavior and status, and morbidity status measures were analyzed using conventional regression model and convergence analysis method such as decision tree for convergence analysis. Rate of workers in agriculture, forestry, and fishing, salaried workers, persons higher than high school graduates, non-treatment of needing care, non-treatment of care because of economic reason, obesity, heavy drunkers, complaining persons of chewing difficulty, persons with experiencing depression, persons with perceiving stress, and persons with diagnosing hypertension and angina pectoris were variation determinants of prevalence of arthritis in 249 small districts and these districts were classified 10 area groups by decision tree model. Our finding suggest that the approach based characteristics by small area groups rather than national wide or individual level would be effective to reduce in variations of prevalence of arthritis.

Maturity and Spawning of Spinyhead Sculpin, Dasycottus setiger (Bean) in the East Sea, Korea (동해안 고무꺽정이, Dasycottus setiger (Bean)의 성숙과 산란)

  • Maturity and spawning of spinyhead sculpin, Dasycottus setiger were investigated using samples collected by the eastern sea danish seine and gillnet in the East Sea of Korea from January to December 2004. We analyzed monthly changes in maturity stages, gonadosomatic index (GSI), egg diameter, fecundity, total length at 50% group maturity, and sex ratio. GSI began to increase in August, reached a maximum between September and November, and decreased in December. The spawning period was August to December, and the main spawning period was September to November. The fecundity ranged from 6,210 eggs at 22.3 cm (TL) to 15,898 eggs at 32.2 cm (TL). The relationship between total length (TL) and fecundity (F) was $F=25.475TL^{1.818}$ ($R^2=0.761$), and F increased with TL. The TL at 50% group maturity was estimated to be 23.4 cm. The sex ratio was 1 : 1.3 (female : male), indicating the male population was seem to be slightly predominant.

  • Objectives: To develop a model of a official management system for agricultural disease, injury and accidents, We analyzed current Korean status and management system about occupational injury and accident of farmers. Methods: For national management systems of industry safety and health and current status of occupational injuries and accidents of farmers, related literature such as books, theses, articles, and web documents were collected and analyzed. Results and Conclusion: The regulations of protecting occupational injury and accidents of farmers are suggested as follows: (1)insurance and compensation act for occupational injury and accident of farmers, (2)setting standards of occupational injuries and accidents of farmers, (3)mandating the usage of safety devices for agricultural vehicles and equipments, (4)reporting occupational injuries and accidents that occur among farmers, (5)registering pesticides and assessing safety usage, (6)implementing safety training, (7)supporting personal protective equipments and agricultural safe facilities etc.

Fishing Characteristic of Beam Trawl Fishery in the Coastal Waters of Chungnam Province, Korea (충남 연안 조망어업의 어획특성)

  • To understand the fishery characteristics by a beam trawl off the coast of the Chungnam province, covering $125^{\circ}$ 50'~$126^{\circ}$ 05'E, $36^{\circ}$ 15'~$36^{\circ}$ 25'N, a beam trawl was deployed 2~4 times a month from March 2008 to February 2009. The catch was consisted of 96 species of 63 families belonging to 19 orders. Among these, organisms were identified as 54 species of fish, 27 species of crustaceans, 9 species of gastropoda, bivalves, and 6 species of cephalopods. Trachysalambria curvirostris which is the target species of the beam trawl fishery occupied only 2.1% of the total catch, showing a low ratio of catches. Most of T. curvirostris was harvested from July to November while small amount of T. curvirostris was captured from May to December. In this study, we concluded that the bycatch ratio except T. curvirostris in T. curvirostris fishery was relatively high, thus the fishery of T. curvirostris might affect the fishery resource management of bycaught species off the coast of Chungnam province.

Measurement of the Public Value of Conserving Green Turtles (푸른바다거북 보전의 공익적 가치 추정)

  • This paper attempts to quantitatively assess the public value that has been assigned to this government plan by employing a contingent valuation technique. Data gathering performed that professional research firm administrated a face-to-face national survey of 1,000 randomly-selected households. A one-and-one-half-bound model was adopted to elicit willingness to pay (WTP) responses, and the payment vehicle used was income tax. The WTP model used in this study is based on a utility difference approach and the spike model. The results showed that the public value of conserving green turtles was estimated to be 2,570 Korean Won per household over the next 10 years as of 2016, statistically significant at the 1% level. Expanding the values considered to include the national population gives a public value of 48.7 billion Korean Won. Thus, the public value of rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing green turtles that have been caught by fishermen, collided with fishing boats, and died in nets through the government program is not small.

  • 1720년 경상도 단성진 진내면 소재의 390가구를 대상으로 1970년대 초 케임브리지 대학의 역사인구학 연구소에서 개발한 Laslett-Hammel가구 형태 분석법을 적용하여 본 결과 표9에서 제시된바와 같이 전체가구의 48.9%가 핵가족의 형태이며, 42.1 퍼센트가 대가족으로 밝혀지고 있다. 물론 도표3에서 지적되고 있듯이 5세이하의 인구에 대한 자료가 미비한 상태라 호적 자료만으로 당시의 가구 형태에 대한 정확한 분석이 어렵다고 하드라도 이제까지 일반적으로 믿어져 왔던 대가족 형태의 이조 중기의 종가제도나 일반 서민들의 가구 형태 및 유아가구에 대한 보다 구체적인 연구가 호적 자료에 대한 면밀한 분석으로 가능해질것으로 믿어진다. 역촌, 즉 하류계층의 사람들이 주로 많이 주거하였던 단성진 진내면의 전체 조사 대상 가구의 절반이 핵가족의 형태로 보이고 있는것은 당연한 것으로 받아질수 있겠으나 표6에서 나타내고 있듯이 상류계층에 속하는 양소계층의 경우도 평균 가구 규격 16명중에서 약 13명이 율거유아로 실제 가구의 크기는 가족 구성원수 4명을 넘지않는 핵가족의 형태였을 가능성이 짙음을 알수 있다. 한가지 특이할만한 사항은 상류,중류,그리고 하류 계층 다같이 평균 가족 구성원수가 4명을 넘지 않는다는 점이다. 단성진이 독촌들로 구성되어 있는 만큼 앞으로 상류계층이 밀집되어 있었던 경북 월성군의 양동 지역 향방 자료나 호적 초안자료를 단성진의 자료와 비교 분석함으로써 이조 중기의 가구 형태에 대한 보다 신뢰성 있는 결과를 도출해 낼수 이ㅛ는것이다. 단성진의 자료는 이조 중기의 유아 인구와 유아 가구 형태에 대한 연구에는 귀중한 자료로 앞으로 역사인구학의 방법론 개발에 큰 기여를 할것으로 기대된다.의 핑거를 식별, 추적할 수 있었다.는 경도방향의 해구수가 많았으며, 특히 8월은 1년중 경도방향의 분산이 가장 컸고, 어장중심은 5월에는 3888해구, 6월에는 3884해구, 7월에는 4078해구, 8월에는 4154해구, 9월에는 4146해구, 10월에는 4044해구였다. 3. 어획수온과 어획적수온은 5월에는 $14.0~18.5^{\circ}C,$ $15.0~16.0^{\circ}C,$ 6월에는 $13.5~18.5^{\circ}C,$ $14.5~16.0^{\circ}C,$ 7월에는 $14.0~20.0^{\circ}C,$ $14.5^{\circ}C,$ $19.0^{\circ}C,$ 8월에는 $16.0~21.5^{\circ}C,$ $18.0~20.0^{\circ}C,$ 9월에는 $14.5~22.0^{\circ}C,$ $17.0~18.5^{\circ}C,$ 10월 $14.0~18.0^{\circ}C,$ $16.0~17.0^{\circ}C였다.$ 4. 평균CPUE는 5월에는 3.2kg/sheet, 6월에는 4.5kg/sheet, 7월에는 4.3kg/sheet, 8월에는 5.1kg/sheet, 9월에는 6.4kg/sheet, 10월에는 5.8kg/sheet였다. 5. 한국정부의 1990년 북태평양 오징어 어업감시계획과 실제의 어장형성범위를 비교하면 5월에는 어장이 형성된 21개 해구 가운데 12개, 6월에는 24개 가운데 7개, 7월에는 25개 가운데 4개 해구에서

growth of Cadmium Sulfide (CdS) Thin Film by Solution Growth Technique and Study of Quantum Size Effects (용액성장법에 의한 Cadmium Sulfide(CdS) 박막 성장 및 양자 사이즈 효과에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 용액성장법에 의해 양자 입자로 구성된 CdS 박막을 슬라이드 유리기 판위에 성장시키고 이들의 구조적 광학적 특성에 대하여 연구하였고 이들 결과를 토대로 용 액성장법으로 성장된 CdS 박막의 양자 사이즈 효과에 대하여 연구하였다. 성장시간은 1, 3, 10, 20분이었고 성장온도는 75$^{\circ}C$였다. X-선 회절 분석결과 본 연구에서 합성된 CdS 박막은 hexagonal상의 결정구조를 갖는 것으로 나타났고 성장시간에 따라 막의 투께는 61~195nm, 입자사이즈는 8.5~22.5nm로 나타났다. 광에너지 변화에 따른 투과도 측정결과 본 연구의 CdS 시료는 성장시간에 따라 에너지 밴드갭이 2.43~2.51 eV로 나타나서 벌크 CdS의 에너 지 밴드갭인 2.42 ev보다 높은 에너지 밴드갭을 갖게 되어 양자 사이즈 효과에 의한 blue shift 현상이 용액성장법에 의해 합성된 CdS 시료에도 존재한다는 것이 밝혀졌다 그리고 이 같은 용액성장법으로 성장된 CdS에 대해 최초로 수행된 Raman 산란 실험결과 이성장방법 으로 성장된 CdS에는 1TO, E2, 1LO 포논 모드가 존재함을 알수 있었고 또한 입자 사이즈 감소에 의한 1LO포논 모드의저주파수 shift 현상 즉 포논 모드의 softening 현상이 있음이 밝혀졌고 softening은 최대6.2%까지 발생하였다. 이와같은 높은 softening은 본연구의 CdS 박막 내 양자 입자의 입도가 작은것에 기인하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 또한 본 CdS 시료의 양 자 사이즈 효과의 결과로 1TO 포논도 나타났는데 이 1TO 포논과 E2 포논의 Raman shift 는 성장시간 즉 막의 두께와는 무관한 것으로 나타났다.행렬모형(二重比例行列模型)을 이용하여, 산업구조의 변화로 인한 직업별 인력수요 변화가 충분히 고려되도록 하였다. 전망의 결과에 따르면 향후 우리 경제는 지식기반경제(knowledge-based economy)로 이행하고 있다고 볼 수 있다. 우선 산업구조면에서 지식집약적산업으로의 구조조정이 일어나게 되고 이에 따라 산업별 취업구조에서도 고기술산업의 취업준비중이 급속히 증가하게 된다. 직업별 취업분포에 있어서도 전문기술직 행정관리직 등의 고숙련 사무직의 비중은 크게 증가하는 반면 생산관련직과 농림어업직의 비중은 감소하게 된다. 이처럼 경제가 지식집약화되어 감에 따라 고학력자에 대한 수요는 지속적으로 증가하지만 현재 적절한 인력양성과 공급이 이루어지지 않고 있어 향후 기술이나 기능에 따른 수급부일정(需給不一政)(skill mismatch)현상이 매우 심해질 것으로 보인다. 따라서 앞으로의 인력정책에서 가장 주안점을 두어야 할 부분은 첨단기술산업과 관련된 인력의 양성에 있다고 하겠다.2시간까지 LPDG용액은 MEC용액보다 비교적 나은 회복을 보였고 재관류 3일과 7일의 폐기능 평가에서 두 용액 모두에서 폐기능의 점차적 소실을 보였으며 이는 병리조직검사에서 보듯이 폐혐에 의한 외적인 요소라고 생각되며 따라서 LPDG용액은 허혈재관류손상 방지 및 급성폐렴 등 염증을 잘 관리한다면 20시간 이상 LPDG용액의 안전한 폐보존의 가능성 을 얻을 수 있었다.ic 형태로 외래유전자가 발현되었지만 대조구에서 87.0% (26/30개) 배반포기가 $\beta$-Gal 활력을 보인 반면, G418 처리구에서는 모든 배반포기가 $\beta$-Gal 활력을 보였다 (P<0.05). 그러나 대조구 및 G418 처리구의 ICM

A Development of Smartphone-connected Fishing Net Tracking and Management System (스마트폰 연계형 어망위치 추적 및 관리 시스템의 개발)

  • Recently, the environment at littoral sea has been contaminated and damaged by submarine deposits, e.g. the fishing nets. To solve this problem, the government pushes the policies such as management plan of the fishing nets in whole life cycle of them. The representative causes are dumping and drifting away of the fishing nets, and shed new light on technological methods for tracking and management of the fishing nets. To prevent this drawbacks, this paper covers a development of tracking and management system for the fishing nets. To do this, we analyzed the existing products, and figured out performance improvement points. Also we proposed additional enhancement techniques which connects with a smartphone application and displays the positions and state information of the fishing nets, and so on. To adopt the proposed methods, we design and implement a tracking and management system based on ENC with the smartphone application, and verified the usefulness of the system.

Reforming Environmentally-Harmful Subsidies in the Energy and Electricity Sectors in Korea (우리나라 에너지·전력 부문 보조금의 환경친화적 개편 효과 분석 : 연산일반균형분석을 중심으로)

  • In Korea, various environmentally harmful subsidies are granted in agriculture, fishery, energy, electricity, transportation, steel and shipbuilding industry. Examples include tax-exempt fuel for agriculture & fishery, VAT- exemption for briquette & anthracite, temporary subsidy for fuel, production stabilizing subsidy for coal mining, subsidy for briquette. Korea's yearly total subsidy in energy area is about 5,291 billion won, among them is 4,870 billion won. To reduce air pollutants and to mitigate climate change, Korea has to review the phase-out of environmentally harmful subsidies and the phase-in of environment-friendly subsidy. The reduction or removal of environmentally harmful subsidies will enhance economic efficiency and bring about environmental benefits. Economic efficiency means less use of inputs, which reduces environmental cost and improves social benefits. This paper applies the Shoven and Whalley's model to the Korean economy and analyzes the general equilibrium incidence effects of reforming environmentally harmful subsidies in the energy and electricity in Korea. We consider several counterfactual scenarios in which current environmentally harmful subsidies are reduced or abolished, compare them with the reference case in the economy, and evaluated the change in efficiency costs and distributional incidence of tax reforms related to subsidies.

Trends in Regional Studies Education on Dokdo in Social Studies Classes at Elementary and Middle Schools in Shimane Prefecture, Japan (일본 시마네현의 초중등학교 사회과에서의 독도에 대한 지역학습의 경향)

  • Since the Shimane Prefecture government in Japan enacted "Takeshima Day" in March 2005, it has held commemorative ceremonies with Japanese politicians present each year on February 22. Japan has marked Dokdo as its territory in elementary and middle high school textbooks, and the number of such references has been increasing in recent years. Shimane Prefecture, which is the area nearest to Dokdo is strengthening Dokdo education in its geography classes at elementary and middle schools as part of regional studies. The study and education on Dokdo was begun by social studies teachers in the Oki Islands in Shimane Prefecture, but now extends throughout the prefecture. The auxiliary educational materials regarding Dokdo produced in Shimane Prefecture include teaching guidelines for teachers, worksheets for students, CDs containing statistics and picture files, and two kinds of DVD movie clips for each grade. In particular, schools teach the damage to the Japanese fishery industry caused by Korea's illegal occupation of Dokdo. This will likely form anti-Korean sentiments among Japanese students. It is hoped that Korean and Japanese scholars will work together to develop Dokdo auxiliary textbooks in order to improve the correct historical understanding of Dokdo.
