The questionnaire was comprised of Quality of Time-Extended Daycare, Parental Satisfaction of Time-Extended Daycare, and a demographic questionnaire. The data analyses used SPSS 20.0 which employs basic statistics, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and multiple regression analyses. The results of this study indicated a correlation between parental satisfaction and program(r=$.60^{***}$), safekeeping(r=$.56^{**}$), nutritious meals and health care(r=$.63^{**}$). Specifically, nutritious meals and health care could predict Parental satisfaction of the time-extented daycare.

  • This study aims to examine the suggestions by studies that family predictors are related to developmental outcomes more strongly for children reared principally by their parents compared to those with extensive child care experience. Zero-order correlations between family predictors and developmental outcomes were conducted and the significance of differences in correlation coefficients between the two child care groups were examined. There was no evidence that there exist systematic differences between the two groups in predictive power of family factors except a few exceptions. At 2 years, social parenting style was more strongly associated with communication ability in the extensive child care group. At 3 years, some HOME subscales were related to a child's expressive and receptive vocabulary skills in significantly greater magnitudes in the mother care group. The findings also implied the potential contribution of child care environment on developmental outcomes for those who spend extensive hours in nonmaternal care.

Data for this study was collected by way of a survey that involved a total of 33 child care centers. A total of 465 families took part in the study. Child factors, parental factors, household factors, and child care center factors were included in the hierarchical regression model on which this study was based. The results of this study identified eight primary factors related to the number of hours spent in child care centers by children of dual working families, which were as follows: (1) children's engagement in extracurricular activities, (2) maternal working hours, (3) parents' preference for child care center as a non-parental care provider, (4) the number of children attending the child care center in the household, (5) the presence of adults other than parents in the household, (6) accessibility to the child care center, (7) the satisfaction with child care services, and (8) the primary purpose of child care center use.

  • In order to understand the difficulties and overcoming effort in teachers of Employer-Supported Child-Care Center in the attitude of parents, this study explored seven teachers of Soie Child-Care Center that operated for 18 hours a day, 365 days a year. Seven teachers were interviewed and the data were analyzed utilizing content analysis. The results of the study came out that Teachers experience difficulties such as parents' non-regulations, excessive use, excessive individual demands, excessive sensitivity in case of safety accidents, the connection of parental rank to the classroom, excessive service demands. In order to overcome this problem, participants used methods such as identifying sensitive parts of parents, seeking advice, objectifying situations, and enhancing professionalism. This will be basic data for the expanding operation of Employer-Supported Child-Care Center and the development of programs to support teachers.

  • The purposes of this study were to examine the perception of directors and child care providers regarding the Seoul-type Child Care Accreditation and its operating system. The objects were 309 directors and child care providers at accredited Seoul-type child care centers. The collected data was analyzed using frequency, percentiles, and ${\chi}^2$. The results are as follows: First, the majority of directors and child care providers perceived 'the preparation for effective quality control of child-care service' as the primary purpose of the Seoul-type Child Care Accreditation. Many of them responded that the child care centers meeting the purpose of accreditation would be 'private' and 'home-based' ones. Seoul-type Child Care Accreditation was easier to pass compared to National Child Care Accreditation. The directors and child care providers perceived that the accreditation will narrow the gap between public and private child care centers. Second, in operating customized child-care service, most directors preferred 'submits only the same plan as that of a designated one', but most child care providers preferred 'assessment after providing customized child-care'. For the reliable child-care service and accounting management system, both subject groups showed general satisfaction with 'current system'. Third, both subject groups responded that 'overtime pay for child care providers' and 'government's consistent child-care policy' were what they desire most to improve Seoul-type Child Care Accreditation.

  • This study has analyzed the factors that influence the safety consciousness of school bus drivers at Child Care Centers. To achieve this, 276 directors and drivers of owner-operator who drives the school bus at Child Care Centers in Chungnam, Chungbuk and Daejeon area were selected as study subjects. For the data analysis, PASW Statistics 18.0 was used. The main results of this study are as follows. The level of safety consciousness of directors and drivers of owner-operator were 6.46 and 6.82 respectively showing that drivers of owner-operator were significantly higher. Second, the factors that influence the safety consciousness were shown to be significantly different for each group. The factors that influence the safety consciousness of directors were shown in the order of whether or not the accident was experienced, safety-seeking motivation, sensation-seeking disposition, safety consciousness of caregivers, perception-motor skill. The factors that influence the safety consciousness of drivers of owner-operator were shown in the order of safety-seeking motivation, health status, daily driving hours, economic status, safety consciousness of caregivers. Based on these results, several ways were suggested to improve the safety consciousness of school bus drivers at Child Care Centers and prevent the traffic accidents.

  • Safety accidents are frequently occurring in day care centers in recent years. The number of types of safety accidents is bumping into, falling, burning, school bus accident, insertion... etc., and the number of children who have died due to such accidents is increasing steadily every year. Therefore, it is urgent to prevent accidents at day care centers. IoT (Internet of Things) is managed by connecting various sensors and related products from the living space to the Internet in order to prevent them from being dangerous. In particular, IoT products can be automatically controlled by smart phones and sensors anytime and anywhere, thus saving energy, time, convenience and prompt accuracy. This paper proposes a research model to prevent and respond to disasters by using SK LoRa communication network and Arduino, which are Internet access networks for building disaster management in schools, kindergartens and day care centers. And various sensors needed for building disaster management express various safety states in the building and suggests a system that can control the residential environment by transmitting and receiving data to smart phone.
