First, in terms of 'college life stress', a positive correlation was observed with 'depression' while a negative correlation was found with 'adaptation to college life'. As 'social support' increased, 'self-efficacy' and 'adaptation to college life' were high as well. However, 'depression' was low. On the contrary, 'self-efficacy' revealed a negative correlation with 'depression' but a positive correlation with 'adaptation to college life'. There are three main purposes of this study: (a) to investigate the developmental trajectories of psychological resilience, social resilience, and school resilience of adolescents in poverty, (b) to identify the longitudinal relationship of three resiliences and (c) to examine the protective factors that help adolescents to develop successfully in the face of poverty. Data were drawn from Korea Youth Panel Survey(KYPS), a longitudinal panel study on Middle school students in the second grade. Sample consists of 648 adolescents in poverty who particiipated in the KYPS. Latent Growth Curve Model(LGM) was used to analyze intraindividual changes in resiliences and interindividual differences in these changes. And AMOS 7.0 and SPSS 15.0 were used. In this study, it is concluded that the resilience of adolescents in poverty is the construct that has uni-dimensionality and multi-dimensionality at the same time. Therefore, in order to improve resilience of adolescents in poverty, protective factors associated with each resilience have to be increased. Those findings have provided various theoretical and practical implications for social workers and professionals helping adolescents in poverty.

This study aims to verify the mechanism of mediated effects for protective factor among the relations of risk factor, protective factor and psychology adaptation under risky situation as functionally deficient family, and to identify the protective factors that protects adolescents with high psychology adaptation level. To achieve these goals, descriptive statistic analysis, regression analysis and logistic-regression analysis were conducted using the 5th year data of the Korea Youth Panel Study (Junior high panel) surveyed in 2008 by National Youth Policy Institute. The study results first shows that the psychology adaptation level of adolescents who experienced functionally deficient family varies depending their self-esteem and attachment to school friends. Second, it was found that there are mediated effects in the impacts of functionally deficient family on psychology adaptation. Therefore, in social work field, it is advisable to focus on the process to mitigate the risk factors or to strengthen protective factors rather than focus on the risk factors of adolescents. With this method, the negative perception of adolescents exposed to risk factors can be changed as well as the way of intervention for supporting them.

This study investigates the effect of parental attachment on job seeking stress among the university students and junior college students. We explore the mediating effects of self-efficacy and career maturity on the relations between parental attachment and job seeking stress. We selected 292 university students and 285 junior college students as participants from Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do. All participants completed surveys on the measurement of parental attachment, self-efficacy, career maturity, and job seeking stress. Collected data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, structural equational models, and Sobel test with SPSS software ver. 18.0 and Amos software ver. 18.0. The major findings are as follow. First, parental attachment had no significant effect on job seeking stress. Second, self-efficacy and career maturity mediated between parental attachment and job seeking stress. In addition, there were significant differences between university students and junior college students regarding the relation between parental attachment and job seeking stress. Junior college student's career maturity had a greater influence than that of the university students. The findings of this study suggest that intervention to address self-efficacy and career maturity are important to resolve college students' job seeking stress; in addition, school type should be considered to understand job seeking stress.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors affecting the drinking behavior of adolescents. Based on this, it aims to suggest the practical and policy measures to prevent the drinking behavior of adolescents and to mediate / reduce them. We used binomial logistic analysis as an analysis method. As a result of this study, the individual factors affecting alcohol drinking were gender, smoking experience over the past year, sexual satisfaction, cyber delinquency, self-esteem, parental abuse, peer as family factors. Peer trust was significantly associated with attachment factors, and school adaptation factors were not found to be associated with alcohol drinking in adolescents. This suggests that multilateral efforts such as individuals, families, and communities are needed to mediate and reduce the drinking behavior of adolescents.
