Design of the inverter for driving CCFL (냉음극 방전 램프 구동용 인버터 설계)

  • Piezoelectric inverter for driving CCFL is designed in this study. Of them, CCFL is generally used because it has advantages such as small size, high efficiency and good brightness characteristics. the description of the piezoelectric effect is not present here and can be easily found in numerous publications as well as complex equations and formulae. What is the most important to understand is that "they are different" one cannot just change an electromagnetic transformer(EMT) for a piezoelectric one. The simulation program supports the modeled piezoelectric inverter for this paper and the equivalent circuit. The result of the experiment shows more than 90% improvement in terms of the efficiency.

  • 외부의 전기적인 에너지원 없이 기계적인 힘에 의해 구동되는 투명하고, 유연한 에너지 발생 압력센서를 제작하기 위하여 일차원 산화아연 나노선 기반의 압전소자를 제작하였다1). 산화아연 나노선은 유연한 플라스틱 기판에 습식화학 방법을 이용하여 성장시켰다. 이 방법은 간단한 공정과, 저온 성장공정, 대면적 성장, 대량생산이 가능한 방법이다. 산화아연 나노선의 끝 부분과의 접촉을 위한 상부 전극으로는 PdAu 와 ITO가 증착된 유연한 플라스틱 기판을 사용하였다. 90 % 이상의 높은 투과율을 가진 산화아연 나노선과 ITO 상부전극을 이용하여 투명하고 유연한 에너지 발생소자를 제작하였다. 이를 이용하여 외부에서 작용하는 힘,상부전극의 형상 및 일함수와 나노발전소자의 출력과의 상관관계를 조사하였다. 제작된 투명하고 유연한 나노발전소자의 경우 0.9 kgf에서 1A/$cm^2$ 의 전류가 발생한 것을 확인하였다.

  • 초음파 여기를 이용한 물체 이송 시스템은 최근 급속히 발달하고 있는 광산업이나 반도체 산업에서 기존의 이송 시스템의 단점을 보완하기 위해 개발되었다. 기존의 이송 시스템들은 이송공정이나 검사 공정 등에서 광소자의 표면손상이나 자기장에 의한 반도체 소자의 전자적 배열의 손상이 우려되었다. 하지만 PZT 액츄에이터로 구동되는 초음파 발생장치(Ultrasonic wave generator)에서 발생한 초음파 여기를 이용하여 물체를 이송시킬 경우 이러한 단점은 보완된다.(중략)

  • This paper describes the design, construction, and fundamental testing of a precision rotational device that utilizes piezoelectric elements as a source of driving force and impact drive mechanism as a driving principle. A novel device structure is designed and the numerical simulations about the static displacement, stress distribution, and mode shape of the designed structure are performed. A fabricated rotational device has been rotated successfully by applying saw-shaped voltages to the piezoelectric elements. The one-step rotational angle was $0.44{\times}10^{-3}$ rad at the applied voltages of 80V. The angular velocities of the device were revealed to be increased as the driving frequency and voltage were respectively increased and the preload was decreased. The device has a feature that it can be translated as well as rotated. An experimental result shows that the device was translated by ${\pm}4.56{\mu}m$ maximum when the 120V sinusoidal voltages with a phase difference of $180^{\circ}$ were respectively supplied to two piezoelectric elements.

  • In this paper, the ultra precision positioning system for servo motor and piezo actuator using dual servo loop control has been developed. For positioning system having long distance with ultra precision, the combination of global stage and micro stage is required. Servo moter and ball screw are used as a master stage and piezo acuator as a fine stage. By using this system, an positional precision witin .+-. 30nm has been achieved at dual servo loop control. When using micro stage, an positional precision within .+-. 10nm has been achieved. This result can be applied to develop semiconductor equipment such as wafer stepper.

  • A new kind of piezoelectric actuation structure named double amplified multilayer actuator is proposed. Double amplified multilayer actuator combines both dimentional and flextensional amplification concepts. As a result the displacement of the actuator can be more than one hundred times larger than the displacement of multilayer actuator and can be used in in-pipe locomation robot such as an endoscope actuator. This paper studied the dependence of displacement on actuator parameters theoretically and experimentally.

  • This paper proposes a new modeling scheme to describe the hysteresis between input voltage and displacement of piezoelectric actuators in the inchworm. From the experimental analysis of Piezoelectric actuator behaviors. the hysteresis characteristics including residual displacement can be modeled by second order functions of a maximum Input voltage and preload. Various experiments are performed to demonstrate the effectiveness and validation of the proposed modeling scheme.

  • A multi-beam optical disk drive is presented as a method for improving the effective data transfer rate by increasing the beam spot number formed on an optical disk. The beam rotating actuator is necessary for putting multi-beam on more than one track. The beam rotating actuator is made up of piezoelectric material, high stiffness wire hinge and dove prism. The actuator has good frequency response above 1KHz and suitable operational range. The dynamic equation for the actuator is derived.
