  • To manage software safely, the military acquires and manages products in accordance with the RMF A&A. RMF A&A is standard for acquiring IT products used in the military. And it covers the requirements, acquisition through evaluation and maintenance of products. According to the RMF A&A, product development activities should reflect the risks of the military. In other words, developers have mitigated the risks through security by design and supply chain security. And they submit evidence proving that they have properly comply with RMF A&A's security requirements, and the military will evaluate the evidence to determine whether to acquire IT product. Previously, case study of RMF A&A have been already conducted. But it is difficult to apply in real-world, because it only address part of RMF A&A and detailed information is confidential. In this paper, we propose the evidence fulfilling method that can satisfy the requirements of the RMF A&A. Furthermore, we apply the proposed method to real-world drone system for verifying our method meets the RMF A&A.

  • Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the world is facing the most serious crisis since the Great Depression, and is facing a new paradigm of the Untact era. Korea has also announced various policies and legal systems, including the 'Korean version of the New Deal', but it is conflicting between the use of information and the protection of information. In this paper, we derive thresholds by analyzing policies, statutes and technologies in the public cloud. Based on this, we propose to introduce the "Building a Nationwide Public Virtual Machine" as a key task to secure the next-generation national growth engine so that all citizens can use digital services in a secure and reliable environment with equal access to information. Through this, all citizens can use various digital new technology services only with low-priced and low-specification terminals, and by establishing a dedicated center for information protection, we want to respond to rapidly increasing security threats. It also points out that the domestic cloud-related legal system only emphasizes the use of information while overlooking the importance of security, and suggests the right direction for the legal system to move forward.

  • The exclusive bus lanes in the Yeongdong Expressway were implemented in the Singal to Yeoju section in 2017, but the capacity of both exclusive bus lanes and general-purpose lanes of the Yeongdong Expressway decreased and the travel time increased, reducing it to the Singal to Deokpyeong section. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the efficiency of exclusive bus lanes to revitalize public transportation and improve environmental problems. This study calculated the willingness to pay and the social benefits of permission for Green cars to drive on exclusive bus lanes in Yeongdong Expressway. A survey was conducted on two groups of Green car users and Expressway users, and the willingness to pay was estimated using the CVM method. As a result, the average WTP of Green car users were estimated to be 218.7(won/km·person), and that of Expressway users were estimated to be approximately 235.5(won/km·person). The direct benefits were estimated to be approximately 7.9 billion won for Green car users, and 8.5 billion won for Expressway users in 2019. Finally, the value of time saving was estimated to be approximately 8.0 billion won.

  • In this paper, we propose an extension method of the BR2K technique for enhancing the robustness of blockchain application services. The BR2K (Blockchain application, Replication & Recovery technique using Kubernetes) technique was recently developed to support the robustness of blockchain services through service replication and rapid restart. The proposed technique extends the existing BR2K technique to provide a state version, which is meta-information about the service state, and a method for safely managing it, and use the state version to determine the timing for service state recovery. Also, the technique provides systematic service state backup for service recovery and joining of new service nodes by utilizing the version information and the service registry which acts as a service recovery center in the BR2K technique. Based on this, it is possible to support new service nodes to join the replication service with consistency. As a result, new service nodes can be quickly added to the BR2K service in operation, enhancing the robustness of the BR2K service. In addition, the extended method is applied to the pilot blockchain application service and tested in a Kubernetes environment composed of virtual machines to confirm the validity of service replication consistency and rapid service recovery in the event of node failures.

  • The coronavirus pandemic has brought about significant negative changes in our society to the point where it has to be divided into 'Before Corona'(BC) and 'After Corona'(AC). Typical examples include economic difficulties and medical inequality of some social excluded groups as well as individuals who die alone because they are alienated from social networks, and hate and violent discrimination against Asian immigrants, which are rapidly increasing in Western countries in these days. In addition, the pandemic is at a global level, ranging from the vaccine gap between the first and third worlds, triggered by competition for securing vaccines between countries that put their own interests first, the income gap due to changes in the economic environment and financial market, and the bankruptcy of individuals and corporations. In 'all'(pan) and 'people'(demos) became a limit situation that could not be avoided. There is also the opinion that the world could witness the worst catastrophe if the pandemic spreads to poor countries at risk of increasing violence, poverty and famine. The purpose of this paper is to examine the changes in society caused by the Coronavirus pandemic and to suggest the direction of Christian education accordingly. To this end, this paper analyzes the medical, economic, and psychological crises that society faces in the post-corona era. Next, we look at the changes in Christian theology, mission, and worship, which are strongly required for fundamental changes in the context of the pandemic. Based on the above discussion, we propose a new direction for Christian education necessary in the post-corona era.

  • The current 「Detailed guidelines for the safety and maintenance of facilities (performance Evaluation)」 prescribes that the durability of surface concrete is evaluated by comparing the measuring the surface rebound value between sound parts and non-sound parts that have surface damage due to winter rain or leakage on concrete. However, this evaluation method was proposed by analyzing the correlation with an experimental DB obtained under freeze-thaw simulation promoting the environment without reviewing on-site applicability. Therefore, this study reviewed on-site application appropriateness of the concrete freeze-thaw damage evaluation method for the 21 concrete bridges in Korea. From the results, it was clearly confirmed that there was a difference in the surface rebound value between the sound part and the non-sound on the concrete surface; the current evaluation method is considered appropriate for application at the site. In addition, the necessity of adding a specific method and a measurement position of surface rebound value were also analyzed, and the effectiveness of the current evaluation method was also analyzed when targeting the entire concrete bridge, not the evaluation of some sections.

  • Riverbank revetments are installed to increase the stability, while preventing scouring, and utilize the rivers; their construction is prioritized to secure dimensional safety that can withstand flooding. Existing revetment technologies employ use of rocks, gabions, and concrete. However, stone and gabions are easily erosion and destroyed by extensive flooding. Though the materials used in concrete technology possess strength and stability, the strong base adversely affects the aquatic ecosystem as components leach and remain in water for a long time. This serves as an environmental and ecological issue as vegetation does not grow on the concrete surface. This study introduces multi-layer porous riverbank revetment technology using biopolymer materials extracted from castor oil. Results obtained from this study suggest that this technology provides greater dimensional stability as compared to existing technologies. Moreover. it does not release toxic substances into the rivers. Multiple experiments conducted to review the application of this technology to diverse river environments confirm that stability is achieved at a flow velocity of 8.0 m/s and maximum tractive force of 67.25 kgf/m2 (659.05 N/m2).

  • Currently, the problem of pollution of the marine environment by microplastics is emerging seriously internationally. In this study, to develop a lightweight portable microplastic collection device, the types and number of microplastics in 21 coastal areas nationwide in Korea were investigated. And CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic), GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic), ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene copolymer) and aluminum were applied for design and analysis of microplastic collection device to have the durability, corrosion resistance and lightweight. As a result of sample collection and classification from the shore, it was confirmed that microplastics were distributed the most in Hamdeok beach, and the polystyrene was found to be mainly distributed microplastics. Particle information through coastal field survey and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis were used to analyze the flow rate and distribution of particles such as sand and impurities, which were applied to the structural analysis of the cyclone device using the finite element method. As a result of structural analysis considering the particle impact inside the cyclone device, the structural safety was examined as remarkable in the order of CFRP, GFRP, aluminum, and ABS. In the view of weight reduction, CFRP could be reduced in weight by 53%, GFRP by 47%, and ABS by 61% compared to aluminum for the cyclone device.

  • Since the 1960s, the United States has developed and implemented policies to encourage commercial space launches. Specifically, national policies have been implementing to expand the role of commercial space actors, which required establishing a process for private space launches. In the early days of the space age, private launches accounted for a small portion of the total launch rate, but, since the 1990s, the proportion has exploded, with private space companies presenting large projects one after another, accounting for more than 50% of the total launch rate. This diversification of space actors and the increase in orbital space objects have led to changes in the perspectives of existing space environmental management processes. During and after the Cold War, when the space age began, civilian actors' actions were limited, and policies limited their actions, too. So they had little impact on government space activities. However, space technology's entry barrier has lowered since, and policies to facilitate commercial space launches have been implemented for a long, and the accumulated amount of space waste over the past 60 years is also threatening the safety, stability, and sustainability of space use. This paper examined how the United States, the most active country in commercial space launches, has managed commercial space launches. The United States has a Space Traffic Management (STM), distributed to departments such as the Department of Defense, Department of Commerce, Department of Transport, NASA, etc. A review of changes in U.S STM management policy could also provide implications for us to manage commercial space launches in Korea.
