A Study on the Tourism Resources of Baekje Restoration War : Focus on Yesan Imjon Fortress & Hongju Juryu Fortress (백제부흥전쟁의 관광자원화에 관한 연구: 예산임존성과 홍주주류성을 중심으로)

  • This study explored ways to make tourism resources based on the historical significance and major legacies of Yesan Imjon Fortress and Hongju Juryu Fortress, the center of the war where the core leadership of Baekje Restoration War was located. After the collapse of Baekje, it looked at the process of the restoration war centered on Imjon Fortress, the main characters, Imjon Fortress and Juryu Fortress, and the legends related to the restoration war. The tourism value of Baekje Restoration War is highlighted in terms of location identity and dark tourism. After reviewing cases of similar characteristics to the Baekje Restoration War, the method of tourism resourceization was presented. The elements of resourceization include characters, battles, relics, places, and name legends. Reproduction strategy, experience strategy, hard branding strategy and soft branding strategy were presented. As an example of the reenactment strategy, the Baekgang Battle reenactment event was presented. Experience strategies include walking and Baekje pottery. As for the hard-branding strategy, installation of sculptures of major characters and upgrading of tourist information signs were suggested. Soft branding strategies raised the need for logo marks, catch phrases, character products, video contents, and story maps through the branding of fortresses related to the Baekje Restoration War.

Environmental Evaluation through Low-carbon Ecotourism Index -Focusing on 6 Ecotourism Areas in Changwon City- (저탄소 생태관광지표를 통한 환경 평가 -창원시 생태관광지역 6곳을 중심으로-)

  • This study is a basic study to evaluate the ecological environment of Changwon City. The study site was 6 ecotourism districts in Changwon-si, and the ecotourism index was evaluated through direct visits and interviews with the person in charge through preliminary research and various literature data from June to July 2021. There are six ecotourism indicators: climate crisis, air quality improvement, water conservation, natural coexistence, citizen participation, and tourism resource management. When looking at the scores for the six ecotourism areas in Changwon, it received the highest score in the areas of natural coexistence and air quality improvement. However, the ecoregion received the lowest score in the water resource conservation category, indicating that the water resource conservation as a whole was weak. Next, tourism resource management, climate crisis, and citizen participation are at the same level in all regions. As a result of the evaluation through the low-carbon ecotourism index, the Changwon City low-carbon ecotourism certification system should first be operated as a measure to revitalize the ecotourism region. It is necessary to prepare a low-carbon ecotourism level for Changwon City. Second, it is very important to guide and promote ecotourism areas to revitalize ecotourism areas. Lastly, to operate a sustainable eco-environment area, it is necessary to operate using local governance above all else.

Success Strategies for In-Bound City Tourism - Focused on Daegu Metropolitan City - (인바운드 도시관광을 위한 성공전략: 대구광역시를 중심으로)

  • This study conducted individual in-depth interviews of tourists from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Thailand who visited Daegu. According to the analysis, Taiwan's target audience conducted an interview at the Chimac Festival in July 2018 at Duryu Park and was a university student as an individual female tourist. She got the information through SNS. The accommodation was guest house and medium and low cost hotel. The main tourist attractions included Seomun Market Night Market, Eworld and Dongseongno. The meals were Anjirang Gopchang and Galbijim in Dongin-dong. Next, the Hong Kong tourist interview was held in May 2018 at the Kwandeung Festival in Duryu Park, and was an individual tourist as a man. Lastly, an interview with a Thai tourist was held in April 2018 at the Donghwa Temple Cherry Blossom Festival in Palgongsan Mountain, and he purchased a travel agent product as a man. Participants of the tour in Daegu were interested in unusual experiences such as beauty, wedding, theme parks, and restaurants that are unique to Korea. What was disappointing was that there were not enough shopping facilities, such as duty free shops, and that the table in the restaurant was inconvenient, and that there were not enough signboards by language for foreigners.

Analysis of Elderly Pedestrian Traffic Accident Data and Suggestions (노인 보행자 교통사고원인 분석 및 대책)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics of elderly pedestrian accidents and to suggest policy implications to enhance the level of elderly pedestrian safety. Although much efforts has made to enhance traffic safety environment, pedestrian traffic accidents among elderly population are not significantly decreased. This is mainly because current traffic safety measures do not much consider the characteristics of elderly pedestrians in the aspects of physical and psychological conditions. Main findings from vehicle-pedestrian traffic accident data and survey are as follows. First elderly pedestrians have high probability of traffic accident near crosswalks or cross streets rather than on crosswalk or cross streets. Second they need more green light time for crossing the streets. Third, they feel motor cycles running on the side walk and parked vehicles on the side walk are the most dangerous factors. Forth, general drivers do not have reasonable understanding for the walking behaviors of elderly pedestrians. Fifth, elderly pedestrians frequently need to rest while walking. Sixth, elderly people do not see clearly or understand traffic signs. Finally, many elderly pedestrians experience accidents or inconvenience while walking on the sidewalk.
