아라비아만의 국가들에게 공통되긴 하지만, 아랍에미리트 연합은 석유와 천연가스 자원이 풍부하다. 아랍에밀레이트연합(UAE)는 고유의 비료 산업을 개발하는데 있어서 출발점의 속력을 늦춰 왔었다. 이것은 데이비드 헤이가 지역비료 생산자인 루와이스 비료회사(Fertil)의 사무실을 방문했을 때부터 변화하기 시작하였다.

아랍사람들은 완전한 야만 유목민은 아니었지만 잡다한 종교를 가진 부족들로 이루어져 주목을 끌지 못했었다. 그러나 모하메드(570-632)가 이슬람교를 가지고 통일에 성공한 뒤 그들은 7세기에서 8세기사이에 피레네산맥에서 중국국경에 이르는 방대한 제국을 건설했다. 서구가 캄캄했던 중세초기에 아랍사람들은 그리스과학을 보존, 소화하고 발전시켜 서구에 넘겨 주는 중요한 역할을 수행했다.

아랍비료연합(AFA)은 1월 $28\~30$일에 카이로에서 제 9차 국제 회의를 개최했다. 아랍비료 생산자들이 점차로 세계 시장에서의 주춧돌 역할을 함에 따라 회의는 상당한 권위를 인정받고 있다.

The issue of migrants has always been a social problem in France. Particularly, migration issues from the Maghreb region to multicultural France are recognized as topics of confrontation and conflict. One of the many reasons would be that the Maghreb migrant issue is interpreted with a hostile or conflicting 'Arab-Islam' meaning in the West. Therefore, the naming of natives from this region as 'Arab-Maghrebis' has become a common phenomenon. However, deeper understanding of the Maghreb region will explain that such naming could produce a number of problems. This is because the native Maghrebis, not only in the Maghreb region but also in France, are Berbers. Among the various Berbers, the Kabyles are in many ways different from the Arabs in their language, culture, and way of thinking. Apart from the difference in their lifestyle, there is a deep anti-Arab sentiment within them that represents their resistance against the hundreds-of-years Arab domination. This feature has also been used as France's tool of colonial division policy during the colonization period. The purpose of this study is to discuss the settlement process of the Kabyles in France by paying attention to their features. The Kabyles were the first to migrate to France among the natives of the Maghreb region. This study focuses on the process of their migration and search for identity, as well as how they continued to form community and the Berber's cultural movement. Through these series of processes, it is possible to point out the fictitious claim in France and in Korea that Maghrebis are Arab-Muslims. Lastly, the current use of Berber language in France and Algeria is not a coincidental phenomenon, rather it has a connection with the prolonged cultural movement and the settlement process of the migrants in France.

As UAE has witnessed tremendous growth and diversification in its economy, logistics in particular has had great success as one of the first logistics clusters and hub to develop global business competitiveness but a few data and practical study related with logistics business competitiveness have existed due to lack of the openness in the region. In this sense, the purpose of this study was to carry out competitive analysis between UAE and not only major Middle East countries and but also Global countries using Porter's Diamond model. As a result of analysis with Middle East Countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE gained the highest score in factor conditions followed by logistics conditions, supported industries and demand conditions. UAE also is required to reduce cost and time of logistics process and get higher ease of international shipment, logistics competency and logistics timeliness. The logistics data set released from international and reputable bodies like WEF, OECD and IMD will assist to analyses logistics competitiveness among hub countries in future studies.

미국의 워싱턴포스트지는 지난 5월 12일 중동의 아랍 에미레이트(UAE)가 차세대 전투기로 F-16 80대를 구매하기로 록히드마틴사와 전격 계약하였으며 사업규모는 60억불이라고 보도하였다. 이번에 결정된 차세대 전투기의 후보기종에는 프랑스의 라팔과 유럽연합의 유로파이터, 보잉의 F-15, 록히드 마틴의 F-16이 경합하였으며, ''''97년 9월에 F-15, 유로파이터는 탈락되고 F-16과 라팔기종중에서 최종적으로 성능, 안전성 및 실전사례 평가 등을 고려 결정된 것으로 알려졌다. 본 고에서는 이번 UAE의 대량 구매를 계기로 우리공군의 주력전투기인 F-16의 과거와 현재 그리고 미래에 대해 살펴보고자 한다.
