학생의 도형 인지 향상을 위한 프로그램 개발 및 적용 (Program Development for Students' Figure Comprehension Improved and its Application)

  • 전통적인 수학교육은 간단한 수학적 사실을 이해하고 활용하는 측면에 있어서는 효과적일 수도 있지만, 수학적 개념, 원리, 법칙을 학생 스스로 탐구, 발견하고 창조하는 능력을 기르는 데는 적절하지 않다. 이러한 능력을 기르기 위해서는 학생들 스스로가 관찰, 조작, 분석, 종합하는 활동을 강화할 필요가 있다. 구체적 조작물을 학습도구로 활용하는 경우, 수학 학습에 대한 흥미와 자신감을 길러 주고, 자신의 수준에 맞는 내용을 자기 주도적 학습을 통하여 성취감을 가지게 하며, 학생 스스로 탐구 활동을 활발히 하는데 도움이 된다. 삶의 질이 급격히 향상되는 정보사회에서는 사이버 공간의 등장으로 공간감각 기능의 필요성이 더욱 절실한 바, 현행 수학교과서에서 제공되는 각종 공간 도형들은 3차원 공간에서 이루어지지 않고 평면도형으로 처리함으로써 아동의 도형인지 능력 향상에 큰 효과를 기대하기 어렵다. 이에 본 연구에서는 아동의 인지발달 단계를 고려, 도형인지능력 향상을 위한 선 및 점대칭 관련 동기유발, 선수, 기본, 보충, 심화, 평가, 도움말 관련 프로그램을 개발, 적용한 결과 학습자의 동기가 유발되고, 도형 인지능력 향상에 유의미한 결과를 얻었다.

지역형태에 따른 국민학교 6학년 아동의 성역할유형 및 자아개념과의 관계 (A Comparative Study of Sex Role Typing in Sixth Grade Children and Its Relation to Self Concept)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare sex role typing in relation to self-concept in 6th graders by to their residential area. The subjects were 6th grade children: 126 boys and 127 girls. The sample included 85 (42 boys, 43 girls) from a farming area, 111 (62 boys, 49 girls) from Pohang City, and 57 (22 boys, 35 girls) from a fishing area. The instruments used in this study were Shimer's self-concept measure (Suh, 1980) and Bern Sex Role Inventory (Byun, 1979). Statistical analysis of obtained data was by $X^2$ test; 2 (sex) x 3 (residential area) x 4 (sex role category) ANOVA; and $Scheff\acute{e}$ test. The results were as follows: Girls from the fishing area were more masculine than girls from other areas. Androgynous children and urban children demonstrated a higher self-concept. There was no difference in level of self-concept between urban boys and girls, but boys in both farming and fishing areas demonstrated a higher level than girls. In all 3 areas, androgynous children evaluated themselves positively whereas undifferentiated children evaluated themselves negatively. There were significant differences in self-concept according to sex, living area, and sex role category. In the city, the feminine category was related to a negative self-concept while the masculine category was related to a negative self-concept in the fishing area. But in the farming area, feminine boys demonstrated a higher self-concept whereas feminine girls demonstrated a lower self-concept.

아동의 자아개념과 가족체계의 기능유형 - Circumplex Model을 중심으로 - (The Relationship between Children's Self-Concepts and Family Systems as Analyzed by the Circumplex Model)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between children's self-concepts and (1) types of functional family systems. (2) family cohesion and adaptability levels, and (3) the satisfaction of children with their current family systems. The subjects of this study were 347 middle S. E. S. children (168 boys, 179 girls) in grade 6. Analysis of functional family systems was by The Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scales III(1985) of the Circuplex Model (Olson et al., 1979). The Self-concept Inventory (Lim Jae Leun, 1987) was used to assess children's self-concepts. The data were analyzed with one-way ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ and Pearson correlation. It was found that there were no differences in children's self-concepts by types of functional systems. There were differences in children's self-concepts by family cohesion and adaptability levels. That is, the higher the level of cohesion and adaptability the more positive the child's self-concept. The more the child was satisfied with his/her current family system, the more positive the child's self-concept. Children whose family systems were at a high level of family cohesion and adaptability were more satisfied with their current family systems.

학령기 아동의 우정관계 개념에 관한 연구 (A Study on Conception of Friendship in Korean Children of School Age)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the components in friendship as reported by Korean children of School age Specially, four major aspects of friendship - definition of friendship, friendship formation, friendship expectation, and friendship termination were explored. The subjects of this study consisted of 600 elementary school children in Grades 1 through 6, 50 males and 50 females at each grade level. Based on Bigelow (1977) five open - ended questions were administered. First and second graders were interviewed individually while 3rd-6th graders replied to a questionnaire in class. For content analysis, responses of each child were coded into 22 categories and each category was assigned a score from 1 to 4 according to its frequency. The data were analyzed by factor analysis. The results showed that four major aspects of friendship in Korean children of school age were found to consist of four different factors. DEFINITION OF FRIENDSHIP was found to consist of the factors; 1) reciprocity of liking vs. helping 2) global evaluation vs helping 3) sharing and 4) common activities. FRIENDSHIP FORMATION was found to consist of the factors; 1) situational effects vs complex evaluation 2) structural dimension vs common activities 3) helping and 4) staring. FRIENDSHIP EXPECTATION was found to consist of the factors; 1) mutuality 2) common activities vs. loyalty & commitment 3) exclusive - dyadic activities vs. admiration (character) and 4) interactive a1truism. FRIENDSHIP TERMINATION was found to consist of the factors; 1) physical separation vs disappointment (character) 2) conflict 3) physical separation vs. psychological dimension and 4) general altruism.

자아 관련 변인들과 학교적응이 아동의 생활만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Ego-Related Variables and School Adjustment on Children's Life Satisfaction*)

  • This study examined the influence of children's self-concept, self-efficacy, self-resiliency and school adjustment on life satisfaction. Data were collected from 582 fifth and sixth graders in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The results of this study are as follows. First, self-concept, self-efficacy, and school adjustment were all confirmed as variables that had direct or indirect influence on life satisfaction. Of these, it was found that school adjustment and self-resiliency turned out to have a more direct influence on children's life satisfaction. Second, as for the greatness of direct influence on school adjustment, which mediates the ego-related variables and life satisfaction, self-efficacy, self-resilience, and self-concept proved to be greater in that order. Third, self-concept turned out to be the variable that had the greatest influence on school adjustment and life satisfaction when taking into consideration of both the direct and indirect influence. It was confirmed that it could be more effective to compose an intervention method for the promotion of life satisfaction case by case for short term goals.

자폐증 환자의 형제 및 자매의 정서적 특성에 대한 예비연구 (A PILOT STUDY FOR THE EMOTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SIBLINGS OF CHILDREN WITH AUTISM)

  • 연구목적:본 연구는 자폐증 아동과 정상인 아동의 형제 자매간의 정서적/행동적 특성을 비교하기 위해 시행 되어졌다. 연구방법:DSM-IV에 의거하여 소아정신과 전문의의 진단, 종합적인 심리평가, 부모와의 면담을 통해 진단받은 만 $10{\sim}16$세 연령범위의 자폐증 환자의 형제군 17명과 정상대조군 17명, 총 34명에게 한국형 소아우울척도, 한국형 소아불안척도, 자기개념척도, 자아존중감 척도를 시행하였으며 한국판 아동청소년 행동평가척도를 부모가 작성한 결과를 t-test로 분석하였다. 결 과:자폐증 형제의 사회성, 총사회능력이 정상군 형제보다 유의하게 작았으나 내현화, 외현화 증상, 우울, 불안, 자기개념 및 자아존중감에서는 두 군사이에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 결 론:자폐증 환자의 형제나 자매에게 가정 내 자폐증의 존재는 형제나 자매의 사회성, 총사회능력이 낮추었으나 우울, 불안, 자기개념, 자아존중감 등에는 별영향을 주지 않는 것으로 보인다. 향후 보다 많은 환자군을 대상으로 한 추가 연구가 요구된다.

'다문화교육'에 대한 유치원교사의 개념도 분석 (An Analysis of the Concept Map of Kindergarten Teachers with a Special Regard to the Multi-Cultural Education)

  • The purpose of this research was to analyze the concept map of kindergarten teachers concerning their levels of contents knowledge and their overall level of competency in terms of multi-cultural education. The participants were 104 teachers from 11 kindergartens in Busan. Data were analyzed by Sim's (2008) method based on Novak & Gowin (1984) and Morine-Dershimer (1993). The results were as follows. First, a majority of participants made a limited concept map and used 22 representative categories regarding multi-cultural education and the category of 'various nations' was the most popular superordinate concept. Second, the level of knowledge in terms of the maps were generally low in so far as most of maps reached hierarchy 1. The results of the research suggested that kindergarten teachers were lacking in basic knowledge of multi-cultual education and therefore there is a real need for both conceptualization and teacher training for multi-cultual education, reviewing of current 'teachers', 'manuals', and follow-up research aimed at analyzing teacher's multi-cultual education competence.

형제와 비교한 아동의 학업성취가 자신의 학업적 자아개념에 미치는 영향: 어머니의 차별적 양육행동의 매개적 역할 (Comparing Effects of Academic Achievement on Academic Self-Concept in Adolescent Siblings: The Mediating Role of Differential Maternal Treatment)

  • This study examined the impact of academic achievement and maternal differential treatment on academic self-concept among adolescent siblings. The sample consisted of 438 students attending middle schools in Seoul (M = 15.2 yrs.), who had a sibling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. Academic achievement compared with a sibling and maternal differential treatment had direct effects on academic self-concept, indicating that children with higher academic achievement scores than their sibling and with perceived maternal differential treatment reported a significantly higher academic self-concept. Also, the relationship between academic achievement as compared with a sibling and academic self-concept was mediated by maternal differential treatment. These findings could be used in educational settings as a basis for improving the academic self-concept of early adolescents.

다문화가족 아동이 지각한 어머니 애착과 일상적 스트레스가 자아개념과 우울에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Mother's Attachment and Daily Stress on Children's Self-Concept and Depression in Multi-Ethnic Families)

  • The purpose of this study to gather information on demographic statistics, children’s attachment to their mothers, and daily stress variants in order to assess their effects on child’s self-concept and depression within multi-ethnic familiy settings. A questionnaire survey was used to targeted 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th graders in elementary schools in Jeonnam. A total of 158 children were surveyed. SPSS for Windows 12.0 was used to carry out descriptive, and comparative statistical analysis such as Cronbach's $\alpha$, correlations analysis, and a hierarchical regression analysis. Result showed that the most significant variant affecting self-concept among children from multi-ethnic families was attachment to their mothers. Other related individual variants were in order of importance, communication skills, feelings of alienation, and mothers’ nationalities. The variant most responsible for having an affect on depression among children from multi-entnic families was the attachment to their mothers. Other related individual variants were in order of importance, feelings of alienation, stress from peer relationships, mothers’ nationalities, and stress from economic and physical environments.
