A Study on the Relationship of Daily Stress and Social Support to Psychological Wellbeing in the Elderly (노인의 일상적 스트레스 및 사회적 지지와 심리적 복지감과의 관계 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the daily stress and social support of elderly people on their psychological wellbeing in an effort to provide some information on the promotion of the psychological wellbeing of the elderly. The major findings of the study were as follows: The psychological wellbeing of the elderly people was under the statistically significant negative influence of their family relations, health problems and sense of loss among the subfactors of daily stress. As for the subfactors of social support, emotional support and support from friends had a significant positive impact on that. The findings of the study suggest that in order to boost the psychological wellbeing of the elderly, they should be helped to cope with various stress that they face in daily routine life, and a variety of programs should be developed to bolster their psychological stability. In addition, the kind of community programs in which they can participate with their friends should be prepared, and how to provide them with better emotional support should carefully be studied.

Analysis of Mediating and Moderating Effect of Directors' Leadership between Early Childhood Teachers' Emotional Labor and their Burn Out (정서노동이 유아교사의 심리적 소진에 미치는 영향: 원장 리더십의 조절효과 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the mediating and moderating effect of directors' transformational leadership or transactional leadership between early childhood teachers' emotional labor and their burn out. The subjects were 211 early childhood teachers in the kindergartens and day care centers located in Kyonggido. 'Emotional Labor Assessment for Early Childhood Teachers', 'Assessment of Directors' Transformational Leadership or Transactional Leadership', and 'Early Childhood Teachers' Burn Out Assessment' were used in the collection of data. It used Pearson's correlation and Multi-Regression Analysis to analyze the data. The results of this study are as follows; first, there were positive correlations between early childhood teachers' emotional labor and their burn out. And, there was negative correlations between early childhood teachers' burn out and directors' transformational leadership or transactional leadership. Second, it was revealed that early childhood teachers' emotional labor was found as the positive predict variable for effecting their burn out. Third, it was revealed that directors transformational leadership or transactional leadership was found as the negative predict variable for effecting early childhood teachers' burn out. Fourth, directors' transformational leadership was a mediating effect of job environment dissatisfaction which is a sub area of burn out. In addition, directors' transactional leadership was a mediating effect of physical-emotional exhaustion which is a sub area of burn out.

Social Exclusion, Raising Companion Animals, and Psychological Well-Being: An Exploratory Study (사회적 배제, 반려동물 키우기, 그리고 심리적 안녕감: 탐색적 연구)

  • This exploratory study investigated the effects of the interaction between the experience of social exclusion and the presence or absence of a companion animal on the psychological well-being of individuals. Participants answered questions about whether or not they were respected by the community (yes or no); whether or not they currently have a companion animal (yes or no); and if they do, what kind of animal(s) they raise (multiple answers allowed). The study also assessed the psychological well-being of the participants. The group that experienced social exclusion demonstrated lower levels of psychological well-being than the group that did not. In addition, the group that reported the presence of at least one companion animal evinced higher levels of psychological well-being than the group that did not. Individuals who experienced social exclusion but lived with at least one companion animal were found to display superior psychological well-being than those who could not avail of the company of an animal. No difference in psychological well-being was found between those with a companion animal and those without one in the group that did not experience social exclusion. In conclusion, this study observed the effects of the binary interactions between social exclusion (experienced vs. not experienced) and the existence of companion animals (presence vs. absence) on the psychological well-being of people. The empirical data offer theoretical implications for the conditions in which companion animals do or do not improve psychological well-being in humans.

  • This paper is a comprehensive study on how the family´s psychological environment affects juveniles in this ever-changing modern society by conducting a survey on teenagers living in Jinju, southern part of Korea. The survey was conducted on 402 students in Junior high schools in the Jinju city. The results are as follows. 1. On the students satisfaction with his/her families psychological environment, the respondents gave 3.5 points of the perfect 5. With regard to social. demographical and individual factors that affect their family lives, most of the teenagers pointed to economic power and self-esteem. 2. When asked how well they adapt to their school lives. the teenagers save 3.31 points out of 5. On social, demographical and individual factors that affect their school lives, the respondents mentioned gender economic power, a monthly allowance, mothers job and self-esteem. 3. The family´s psychological environment of adolescent was shown to be the most important factor on their school life.

  • This study examines the psychological factors of consumers to On-Demand O2O service which is different from the previous study on O2O service. To investigate the relative influence of consumer's psychological attachment of On-Demand O2O service, enjoyment, and trust on consumer's satisfaction and attitude, I conducted qualitative and quantitative surveys to investigate consumers' perception. Through the quantitative survey on 152 participants, the study shows that the consumer's psychological attachment to the service has the greatest influence on the attitude toward On-Demand O2O service and the trust has the highest effect on satisfaction with service. This study is meaningful in that the consumer's psychological factors to the O2O service is examined from the consumer's point of view. This study suggests that the consumer's attachment and trust should be considered primarily to expand the On-Demand O2O service.

  • Recently the use of smart phone is getting popular not only for adult but also for adolescents. The purpose of this study is to examine how psychological independent variables affect purchase intention of Korean and Chinese adolescents. The psychological variables in the study include showoff, face sensitivity, and a sense of alienation. The findings showed that psychological variables were significant to explain purchase intention both in Korean and Chinese adolescents. Such results can provide a practical contribution of planning marketing strategy both in Korea and China markets.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine Internet users' psychological anxiety about the possibility of personal information leakage. The investigator examined the difference of psychological anxiety focusing on the possibility of personal information leakage according to the use amount of Internet, the number of joined sites and the frequency of e-commerce transaction. Study findings show that women felt more psychological anxiety than men did. In addition, people who used Internet more frequently felt more psychological anxiety. However, the number of joined sites and the average frequency of e-commerce transaction in a month had no significant influence upon users' psychological anxiety about the possibility of personal information leakage.

  • 본 연구의 차별화는 첫째, 소방공무원의 직무를 수행하기 위해 외상경험을 감소시킬 수 있는 주요 요인을 고찰하고 감소시킬 수 있는 대안을 제언하고자 한다. 둘째, 소방공무원이 신체적, 심리적, 특성과 사회적 영향을 고려하고, 심리적 저항감을 최소화하기 위해 회복탄력성 방안에 대한 고찰을 하고자 한다. 셋째, 소방공무원의 개인 심리적 특성, 사회적 영향 등을 살펴보고 정서적 심리치유를 할 수 있는 상담이 지속적으로 이루어져질 수 있는 사회복지상담학적 접근으로서의 연구는 필요하다. 이를 위해 본 연구의 목적은 소방공무원의 외상 경험 영향요인에 대해 살펴보고, 이들 요인이 직무소진과 우울, 불안 및 대인관계에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 대한 차이 비교를 연구하고자 한다. 이를 통해 향후 소방공무원들의 직무만족을 시키기 위해서는 심리적 정서치유가 될 수 있는 마음챙김이 이루어져야 함을 시사한다.

  • 본 연구는 의료기관에서 근무하는 방사선사를 고용형태를 중심으로 구분하여, 정규직과 비정규직 간의 인식차이, 이직의도, 직무스트레스, 심리적 상태의 관계를 알아보고자 실시하였다. 연구 대상은 수도권역과 지방권역으로 9개 의료기관에서 종사하는 방사선사 308명으로 하였다. 2012년 7월 18일에서 9월 15일까지 수집된 설문지를 통계적으로 분석하여 다음과 같은 연구 결과를 얻었다. 정규직과 비정규직 방사선사의 인식차이에서 정규직은 성별, 월 급여, 지역권에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 이직의도는 정규직에서 학력, 월 급여, 지역권에서 그리고 비정규직은 성별에서만 유의한 차이가 있었다. 직무스트레스는 정규직에서 학력, 월 급여, 지역권에서와 비정규직은 성별, 나이, 결혼, 총 직장 근무연수에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 심리적 상태에서 정규직은 성별에서와 비정규직은 성별, 결혼에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 정규직, 비정규직 간의 직무적 요인에 대한 상관관계에서 인식차이는 이직의도와 심리적 상태에서, 이직의도는 인식차이와 직무스트레스 및 심리적 상태에서, 직무스트레스는 이직의도와 심리적 상태에서, 심리적 상태는 인식차이, 이직의도 및 직무스트레스에서 유의하였다. 고용형태에 따른 요인별 직무스트레스에서는 직무요구 요인, 직무자율성 요인, 관계갈등 요인, 직무불안정 요인에서 유의한 차이가 있었다.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how working environments and psychological empowerment of the employed people with mental illness influencing their job satisfaction. This research was conducted with 326 the employed people with mental illness working for the competitive employment. The result of study appeared their job satisfaction was estimated in order of psychological empowerment, supervisor's support, participative climate, and compensation system. This research has its meaning in that it dealt with psychological work environments taking into consideration characteristics of the people with mental illness for the first time. And this research was significant in demonstrating that the concept of psychological empowerment is the most important notion to explain job satisfaction of the people with mental illness as well as general workers.
