Current Status of Technical Development for TBM Simulator (국내·외 TBM 시뮬레이터 개발 현황)

  • Professional TBM Operator is in short supply worldwide, and insufficient construction experience of new personnel using TBM can lead to a decline in response capabilities when various construction risks occur. The fact that the TBM construction quality greatly depends on the skill and experience of the TBM operator, and the decrease in productivity due to insufficient skilled manpower, and the decrease in safety due to the decrease in skill level are frequently discussed problems in the TBM industry. To this end, several overseas companies and organizations have developed simulators, and a simulator is being developed in Korea. The International Tunneling Association is planning a comprehensive training, including classroom training, e-learning, simulator training and field training. Given the progress at home and abroad, TBM driver training and formal recognition of training through certification or licensing is expected to become the norm in the near future.

  • Development of Computer science and internet technoloy have led changes all over the social area. Educational markets based on this circumstance are offering various services named remote education, cyber lecture, e-Learning, etc. Due to these products, systems for computer based teaching and evaluating student's achievement are wide spread. But in many systems we can find functional restrictions. In this paper we propose a RTE system offering interactive self control mode based education so as to provide customized education for each individual by realtime feedback of the level of the student's comprehension we expect that this system provides customized education environment considering student's achievement level and maximizes their motivation.

Path Model for Presence Factors Affecting Expectations and Concerns of Using Virtual Simulation in Special Education (가상 시뮬레이션의 특수교육 활용 기대감에 영향을 미치는 현존감 요인의 경로 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the paths of the presence that influences the use of the virtual simulation in the special education classrooms. The participants consisted of 76 students who majored in special education in J and K universities. Participants took a three lectures of 3-h. that addressed the theory and practice of virtual technology such as virtual reality(VR) and augmented reality(AR), and then completed the questionnaires on participants' presence level and expectation level of virtual simulation for special education. Study results were as followings: (1) Enjoyment and Communication have direct effects on positive expectation, while Immersion has a direct effect on negative concern; (2) Reality, Accessibility Performance, Communication, and Immersion have indirect effects mediated by Enjoyment on positive expectation; and (3) Communication and Reality have indirect effects mediated by Immersion on negative concern. Lastly, the implications and suggestions for future research were presented.

Pedagogy of E-Learning in Engineering Classes Using Multimedia Contents: Case of K University (멀티미디어 콘텐츠 기반의 공과대학 이러닝 교수법 연구: K대학 사례)

  • Whether the engineering department of universities employs ideal usage of e-learning or not needs to be investigated as many engineering departments diversify the use of the e-learning elements for educational purpose. Applying the teaching and learning methods and characteristics would lead to better strategies which are applied to development of contents and deployment of the e-learning courses. This study examines the characteristics and approaches of the usage of e-learning elements used by some instructors who use multimedia contents in offline teaching and learning environment. The results of this study shows that the e-learning elements assist the face-to-face course and the interactions are manifested in the classroom rather than in online setting. Lecture, hands-on-practice, simulation, and PBL(Problem-based learning) are turned out to be the major teaching and learning methods. This study signifies the need for use of various teaching and learning methods by the instructors and provision of PBL environment.

Longitudinal Research on the Development of Teaching Ability of Pre-service Science Teachers (예비 과학 교사의 수업 능력 발달에 대한 종단적 연구)

  • The college of education should support pre-service science teachers to develop various abilities as a teacher, in which the teaching ability is the most fundamental one. This study is the result of a longitudinal research project following the processes that pre-service science teachers develop their teaching ability in a college of education. The data gathered include movie clips of seminar presentation, teaching demonstration, secondary school science experiment, and classes in the practicum. In order to analyze the teaching abilities in various context, a framework was developed. The framework consists of 'content,' 'progress,' and 'verbal/nonverbal' with which the movie clips of 5 pre-service science teachers were analyzed. The teaching abilities of pre-service science teachers showed overall development, that include the understanding of learners and curriculum in the 'content,' the time-management and the interaction with learners in the 'progress,' and the nonverbal behavior in the 'verbal/nonverbal.' The implications were discussed on the education in the college of education, such as the increase of teaching opportunities for pre-service science teachers and the support for those opportunities.

A Study on Student Satisfaction with Educational Environment in a Cooking and Food Service Program (조리.외식관련 대학생들의 교육환경 만족도에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between educational environment services offered and student satisfaction with them. A survey was conducted to 314 students in a cooking and food service program. To achieve the purpose of this study, SPSS 17.0, a statistics program, was used for a descriptive analysis, a frequency analysis, a factor analysis, a multiple regression analysis, a cluster analysis and a One-Way ANOVA analysis. The hypothesis test result of the effect of educational environment services on satisfaction showed that there was a partially significant effect in satisfaction with facilities and lecturers(p<0.01) as well as administrative services (p<0.01). In the cluster analysis of educational environment services, cluster 1 was classified as a mistry cluster, cluster 2 as a satisfied cluster, cluster 3 as a dissatisfied cluster and cluster 4 as a positive cluster. They showed a statistically meaningful result in the one-way ANOV A(p<0.01).

  • As future society will be strengthened by interdisciplinary study and education, we have to prepare general education curriculum which provide critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, communication abilities. Those curriculum will help to nurture students who lead our future society. Now we prepare new curriculum to train students to understand the computer science and software needed to create their own, and we could cultivate students having ability to create interdisciplinary study by using programming skill. So we ran a computer programming class during a semester for the freshmen's capacity building on computing-thinking ability using the Python language. We analyzed the effectiveness and showed that student's curiosity and motivation to want to learn computer programming occurred, their various skills for interdisciplinary ability were improved.

Design and Implementation of Interactive e-Learning Contents for OpenCourseWare (오픈코스웨어를 위한 인터렉티브 이러닝 콘텐츠 설계 및 구현)

  • This paper deals with the design and implementation of interactive e-learning contents for OpenCourseWare. OpenCourseWare, also known as OCW began at MIT in October 2002. OCW is a free and open digital contents of high quality college and university level educational materials. In this paper, we have designed and implemented interactive e-learning contents for a regular course of introduction to java programing language and OCW of D University. We have developed a variety of multimedia elements, such as screen videos of practical exercise and animations in order to improve the effectiveness of learning. These e-learning contents are consist of interactive learning components that users can interact directly with. The e-learning contents developed in this study has been effectively applied to OCW and a regular course opened in the first semester of 2012.

Application of Unplugged Learning Method for Intellectual Disability Students' Informatics Education (지적장애학생의 정보교육을 위한 언플러그드 학습 방법의 적용)

  • The purpose of this research is to compare the effect of unplugged learning method with traditional lecture method on intellectual disability students' informatics education achievement. For this goal, we developed a new unplugged learning method and new appropriate teach-learning materials that can improve the intellectual disability students' informatics education achievement. We randomly divided special school specialized course freshman into the experimental group and the control group. We applied unplugged learning method to the experimental group and lecture teaching method to the control group. According to these results, Intellectual disability students participated in task interestingly and spontaneously. It has been proved that the teaching-learning materials applied unplugged learning method were helpful for intellectual disability students' informatics education achievement.

The Comparison of Learning Experience, Recognition of Importance, Learning Self-Efficacy and Self-Confidence for Core Fundamental Nursing Skills according to the Grade of Nursing College Student (간호대학생의 학년별 핵심기본간호술에 대한 학습경험, 중요성인식, 수행자신감, 학습 자기효능감의 차이비교)

  • 본 연구는 핵심기본간호술을 중심으로 간호학생이 학년별에 따라 학습경험, 중요도 인식, 수행자신감 학습 자기효능감에 어떤 차이가 있는지를 파악하기 위해 실시한 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상자는 D지역 소재 일개대학 간호학과 재학중인 231명이었으며, 자료 수집은 2015년 5월에서 6월 까지 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 21.0 Program을 이용하여 t-test로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 대상자의 학습경험은 학년간의 유의한 차이가 있었다(t=5.009, p<.001). 핵심기본간호술 난이도에 따른 학년별 학습경험의 차이검정을 살펴보면 핵심술 상영역, 핵심술 중영역, 핵심술 하영역에서 모두 학년간에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 중요성인식은 학년간에 유의한 차이는 없었다(t=.288, p>.773). 핵심기본간호술 난이도에 따른 학년별 차이는 핵심술 상영역과 핵심술 하영역은 학년간에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 그러나 핵심술 중영역은 학년간의 유의한 차이가 없었다. 수행자신감은 학년간에 유의한 차이가 있었다(t=7.845, p<.001). 핵심기본간호술 난이도에 따른 학년별 수행자신감의 차이를 살펴보면 핵심술 상영역, 핵심술 중영역, 핵심술 하영역모두에서 학년간에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 학습 자기효능감은 학년간에 유의한 차이가 있었다(t=2.370, p<.019). 따라서 본 연구결과를 토대로 각 학년별 효율적인 실습운영 방안을 모색할 필요가 있으며, 아울러 학습경험을 높이고 중요성인식에 따른 학습경험을 높이고 수행자신감과 학습 자기효능감을 증진시킬 수 있는 교과과정 모색이 절실히 필요하다.
