The youth unemployment problem has become a consistent issue with the number recently surpassing 1million. The marine and fisheries sector, being no exception, is having problems attracting outstanding individuals to the sector on the one hand, and in providing high quality jobs on the other, resulting in an imbalance in the supply and demand of the marine and fisheries sector workforce. In order to supply a workforce that meets the future and on the ground demands, addressing of the qualitative rather than the quantitative aspects of the imbalance issue is more important. Thus, the following strategies are recommended: 1) focus on developing a highly skilled workforce that corresponds to future and on the ground demands; 2) improve educational infrastructures such as training equipment, and enhance the professional capacity of school teachers; 3) establish an integrated system for the management of the education and re-education of human resources.

The purpose of this study was to investigate consciousness about the disabled on dental hygiene students and search for course of dental hygiene education as oral health care with the disabled. The subjects in this study were 538 dental hygiene students from three college in Jeonnam province. For statistical analyses of collected data, the descriptive analyses and chi-square were adopted. The obtained results were as follows. Seniors showed positive attitude about the disabled and dental service of the disabled(p<0.05). The common types of contact the disabled were physical Cerebral palsy and inner disabled were rarely. The problems are difficulty in communication, short of clinical experience in dental service of the disabled, noncooperation of the disabled, short of knowledge in dental service of the disabled. To dental service of the disabled, demand as necessity of education was 87.5%, theory and practice at the same time was 68.0% in pattern of education. Finally, 49.5% of respondents observed special dental clinic to utilization pattern of dental service of the disabled.

A survey was undertaken among a group of dentists working at private dental clinics to investigate the state of dental care and the level of education and training in the dental care to people with handicaps. Forty four percents of dental clinics take care of one more patients per month. The types of handicaps were physical, mental, sensory handicap and autism. The common problems are difficulty in communication and delay of treatment. Forty nine percents of dentists got education and nineteen percents had clinical experience for dental care of handicapped patients. Most of dentists felt necessity of training program and establishment of specialized dental hospital supported by government for the handicapped. This study indicated the necessity of undergraduate and postgraduate education and clinical training for dental care of handicapped patients.

The curriculum of programming education including algorithm has been recognized as a very important subject to many students majoring in natural sciences and engineering including electronic engineering and computer related departments. However, many students have had difficulties with it due to its characteristics; as a consequence, they have been in trouble taking upper-level subjects. Flow chart is a diagram that expresses logical stages necessary to solve certain problems and has been widely used to have an understanding of the flow of algorithm. The practice-oriented education of algorithm and programming would be very important to assist the understanding of operation processes. Furthermore, it has been desperately required to the necessity of auxiliary programs that could enhance an understanding of the concept of algorithm and program execution process. This study was aimed to design and embody the learning system of programming languages using basic algorithms so as for students to easily learn basic algorithm among the entire programming curriculum.

Many researches on green ship with increasing on economics, efficiency and convenience have been carried out consistently. One of them is development of diesel engines with electronic control. While small duty one for automobiles had been adopted mainly already, disseminating heavy duty one for ships has trouble due to safety and reliability. In order to solve these problem in this study, performance of electronic control and cam type engine installed in parallel on training ship HANBADA of korea maritime university was analyzed and compared. It is certain that specific fuel oil consumption of the electronic control type is lower than cam type and excellent at lower engine load, especially. And the electronic control type shows more effective characteristic at sea trial on specific fuel oil consumption.

This paper proposes several methods for effective teaching of programing language(especially C). The programing languages are very important and basic subjects in the Department of Computer Engineering and Science. Many students have some difficulty in learning the programming languages. So, we will suggest several effective methods for effective teaching of programming languages. First, in order to understand the programming language effectively, we need to teach some basic computer architecture and operation principles of computer program to students. Second, it is better to teach many example-based programing skills instead of conventional grammar teaching. Third, if we teach the memory status(memory allocation/release) during the program operation, it will be much better to understand the pointer variables and memory problems. Fourth, let's improve the programming skills through effective homework assignments and experiments. Fifth, let students be guided so that they do programing by themselves. Finally, we can maximize the programming skill through the final termproject.

In this paper the author proposes a case study of a freshmen introduction to engineering design course ing LEGO Mindstorm NXT and analyzes the survey results of the course. The diffilculties are that this course should provide various aspects of design experiences to the students while not requiring the major knowledge and skills and it should attract the students to the engineering major. According to our case study LEGO mindstorm can be a good solution to this problem. The design experience with LEGO Mindstorm NXT provides students with various aspects of design experiences including defining problem, finding constraints and functions, exploring design space, and performing preliminary design, as well as fun. This paper also provides a project list that can be used for freshmen design experience including soccer game robots, line tracer, and vacuum cleaner etc.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of new nurse's resilience, emotional labor, and organizational socialization on clinical competence. Method: The subjects were 182 new nurses. The IBM SPSS 23.0 program was used for data analysis with the significance level set at .05. Results: Clinical competence was significantly different according to the number of nurses, hospitals where practiced, and nurse image (p <.05). Clinical competence showed a significant correlation with resilience (r = .50) and emotional labor (r = .62) (p <.001). Significant factors influencing clinical competence of new nurses were resilience(β = .567) and emotional labor(β = .332), with a total explanatory power of 50.5% (p <.001). Conclusion: There is a need for a program to improve the clinical competence of new nurses considering influencing factors.

Although programming language is a core education area of software that is becoming increasingly important in the age of the fourth industrial revolution, as it requires logical thinking skills, it is recognized as a difficult subject even for SW major students. This difficulty occasionally causes SW major students to lose interest and confidence in their major during the introductory course of a programming language; making them change their majors, or give up their studies. In this study, we designed an instructional model using Scratch for educating C language which is a typical programming introductory language. To do this, we analyzed the concepts that can be trained by Scratch among the programming concepts supported by C language, and developed the examples of Scratch for exercising the concepts. The instructional model supports the progress model of learning first the programming concepts through Scratch and then expand the learning content into C language. We also conducted an experiment on the SW major freshman students of a local private university to verify the effectiveness of the model.

A rapid growth of IT convergence into different application areas draws a lot of interest in high performance platform and embedded system. Industry needs well educated computer professionals with the practical understanding on the emerging technologies and core issues of contemporary popular services. In this paper, we present an education framework for computer system architecture based on rigorous analyses of the characteristics of IT convergence services and information technology trends. The proposed framework puts emphasis on real-world and hands-on subjects related to multicore architecture, embedded system and parallel processing. We believe effective use in the development and management of computer system architecture courses encouraging both industries and students.
