본 연구에서는 비탈면 보강을 위해 순환자원을 재활용하여 개발된 시멘트 대체재료를 사용하여 노후 저수지의 사면 개량 재료로 활용하기 위해 실내시험 및 수치해석, 현장에서의 시험시공을 실시하고, 결과를 분석하였다. 실내시험 결과, 점착력과 내부마찰각의 변화를 고려할 때 시멘트 대체재료의 혼합비는 9 %가 적절하며, 투수계수는 약 10,000배 감소하여 국내에서 적용되고 있는 차수재료에 근접한 수준을 나타내는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 수치해석과 시험시공 결과, 시멘트 대체재료를 사용하여 보강한 부분에서는 침투가 발생하지 않고, 국내 기준 대비 높은 안전율을 확보할 수 있어 충분한 차수 및 보강효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 노후 저수지를 보강하기 위해 사용되고 있는 기존의 시멘트를 사용한 보수 및 보강방법을 충분히 대체할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

Skin Architecture', which has been an important topic of architectural discourse in the recent past, is playing an even greater role in the design expression of architectural materials nowadays. The purpose of this study is to define the epidermal conception about material matter and to discover the various modes of visual effect in the use of architectural materials.Epidermal thought is expressed in different forms, ranging from a simple covering made up of materials of all kinds , removable or technological wrappings. Analyzing the recent experiments from the works of Bernard chumi, Herzog & de Meuron, Peter Zumthor, Gigon & Guyer , it can be argued that the skin is a good emotional approach in the design expression of architectural material matter as epidermal concept since the 1980's.

This study was begun on the premise that architecture which has the definite disposition for survival even in the urban, social structure of that uncertainty and constructs specialty is biomorphic architecture. This study was made with the following four specific purposes largely. First, through the theoretical investigation of biomorphic architecture that appears in the tendency that mordern architecture develops into the architecture of do-stereotype and new form, its meaning and definition are examined. Second, the analysis of biomorphic architecture is investigated and the generation causes are applied architecturally and generate biomorphic architecture is made. Third, by analyzing the material expression characteristics of biomorphic architecture, the meaning and possibility of architecture, which expresses the vitality of organism, as the material expression characteristics of biomorphic architecture, are investigated. The material expression characteristics was deduced through the generation background of biomorphic architecture. The material expression characteristics of biomorphic architecture is the various modeling by smart-network and the response system of sensitivity poly-logue.

Between multiple components of the building, materials have a direct impact on the environment. For many researchers have proposed guidelines for green design materials. However they didnt provide concrete criteria for selecting materials for selecting materials for achieving green design. From the perspective of this point, this paper proposes. Performance information expressed numerically is the most important factor. The purpose of this study is to provide the specific information about the performance of materials that has been ranked quantitatively. The performance information can be utilited in selecting materials for green design.

In modern days when architectural materials have grave impacts on overall design expression, materials for architecture, modern architecture into the service facility for business, education, religion, cultural assembly and residence, and evaluates each finishing material mainly used in exterior, lobbies and entrances of the building since the 1970's. When being applied social images into firstly selected materials, the scopes for material selection will be more narrowed down in more practical way. High tensity materials are suitable for public and active space and low tensity are for private and static area. This principle enables us to use architectural materials as one of the important elements which express the whole characteristics of the area.

In a modern society, as the architectural materials have become main subject of the interior design expression, their influence on architecture is becoming substantial. There are multiple ways of using architectural materials. The aesthetic value is greatly enhanced by the fact that the architectural materials can be used to create unrestricted and new expression. The modern time is uncertain and rapidly changing. In this era of chaos and diversity, the materialism is being superseded by idealism. Speedy exchange of information among the countries with development of new technology and materials increases the possibility of new expressions. Each new material that adds new value influences on the other art as well as the architecture. These characteristics of new expressions could be viewed as having close relationship with current idealism. Therefore, the study on the expressive trend of architectural materials will provide better understanding and translation on expression of interior design. At this point, this study has a purpose in not only understanding architectural materials but also researching for the characteristics of expression on interior design with consideration of paradigmatic variation in modern times.

Environment friendly architecture, which will reduce shortcomings of current architectural culture, can be achieved by using natural energy and environment friendly building materials together with their environmental architecture techniques. Particularly, even though the overall building system is perfect, it cannot be considered as comfortable architectural space if the materials are polluted, harmful to human bodies and producing wastes. Therefore, in order to build environment friendly architecture, the selection of the materials is very important and necessary from the planning stage with careful reviews and concern. This study tries to define what the environment friendly materials we, to investigate and to classify them, in order to provide some guidelines for selecting them at plans to build. For examples, the materials can be classified into natural materials, continuously usable materials, recycled materials from wastes, and less polluting materials mixed with natural materials. Finally, this study reviews the existing products in the market and proposes to develop new ones in the future. It will present the circulation of resources in the 21century through recycled and reused materials.

This thesis is to measure visual mass sense in the language of visual expressing architecture designs. Also, this analyzes materials which effect visual design composition theory, forms, and those that act as important factors of architecture style history. Second chapter considers visual mass, then analyzes concepts of sense of visual mass and the way they are expressed in architecture. Third chapter investigates materials that are composition factors of architecture design and classifies materials that express sense of visual mass. Fourth chapter various projects are analyzed as examples. Also analyze and arrange materials which express sense of visual mass. This thesis studies materials expressing sense of visual mass and proposes possibility to approach theoretically the materials that participate in creativity of architecture design.

In modem days when architectural materials have grave impacts on overall design expression, materials for architecture, especially finishing materials have become the most essential elements for the design expression, as architectural space and form have been. This study closely verifies the concept of tensity analyzed in preceding studies by quantifying it through experimentation and questionnaire, and suggests possible alternatives which verified concept of tensity applies into the architectural design. It was examined how architects consider the finishing materials through a questionnaire. With a questionnaire, the possibility of quantificative analysis for tensity is evaluated by SPSS program. Moreover, a questionnaire about the social image that the architectural finishing materials have was also conducted. This questionnaire results In the actual methods to apply quantificated psychological tensity and social images into the architectural design and recommends better plan to select finishing materials for each spacial function and usage, Due to the great influence of social images in design expression, the application mechanism of the tensity should follow the general and individual principles together. With the tensity figure and application of social images we can find more resonable method for material selection.

This study aims to inquire into the expressive characters of Shiro Kuramata's works. Kuramata, who was active between mid of 1960's to 1990's, went beyond the limits of range of the eastern world, is known internationally. His design philosophy is influencing the current design world greatly. To understand his background and to reexamine his characteristics suggest to us various materials and design languages to be seen forms and principles of his works. I presents data on Shiro Kuramata and puts forwards the significance of his works and tries to lead the way of the design by application techniques of materials on this study.
