DOA Estimation of New Appearing Source in Wideband Multisource Beamforming with Array Sensor Position Calibration Algorithm (어레이 센서 위치보정 알고리즘을 적용한 광대역 다중 신호원 빔형성에서 새로운 신호원의 도래방향 추정)

  • In this paper, we propose a new method to estimate the initial DOA of a new appearing source in wideband multisource beamforming and tacking with array sensor position calibration algorithm. By using a beampattern formula for initial DOA detection, the proposed method keeps estimation error within possible tracking range and can be applied to several beamformers with different mainlobe width by adjusting DOA resolution. The simulation results show the performances of source detection and tracking.

  • 본 논문은 공간상에서 움직이는 다중신호원의 신호 도달 방향 추정과 신호원이 보낸 신호를 다중 센서 어레이를 이용하여 판별하는 문제를 다룬다. 일반적으로 정지하고 있는 신호원의 방향 추정은 어레이에서의 출력 방정식의 방향 벡터들이 시불변인 상수이기 때문에 잡음환경 하에서도 샘플링된 벡터(Snapshot) 수가 늘어날수록 훨씬 정확하게 방향 추정이 가능하지만 신호원이 움직이는 경우에는 신호원의 방향이 변하게 되어 결국 어레이 방정식의 방향 벡터들이 시변이므로 추정값의 분산(variance)이 커지게 되어 정확한 추정이 어렵게 된다. 이러한 경우에 대한 정량적인 분석 예는 드물어 실제 여러 가지 추정 기법들의 특성이 어떻게 나타나는지 가늠하기가 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 경우에 대한 시나리오 예를 설정한 후 이 시나리오에 따른 랜덤 가우시안 잡음 하에서의 수치 데이터 모델을 생성하여 수신기에서는 미지의 값인 이 데이터에 대해 기존의 DOA 추정 기법을 이용하여 추정을 수행하여 그 정량적인 결과들을 계산해 봄으로써 시변인 경우에서의 그 성능을 판단해 보기로 한다.

  • Most research on the estimation of direction of arrival has been accomplished based on the assumption that the signal sources are point sources. In some real surroundings, signal source localization can more adequately be accomplished with distributed source models. When the signal sources are distributed over an area, we cannot directly use well-known DOA estimation methods, In this paper, we represent an source by the center angle and degree of dispersion. Then, we address the estimation of the elevation and azimuth angles of distributed sources based on the parametric distributed source modeling in the 3-dimensional space.

  • 본 논문에서는 복호키를 모르는 해독자의 입장에서 주파수 영역 비화 및 시간 영역 비화(의사 난수 치환 방법, 유니폼 치환 방법, 의사난수-유니폼 치환 방법)되어진 미지의 신호를 수신한 후 비록 영역을 판단하는 알고리즘과 원 신호를 검출하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 그리고 원신호 검출 소요 시간을 측정한 후 사용하고자하는 스크램블링 방식에서 적절한 키를 선택하는 방법을 제시하였다. 각 비화 영역 신호의 세기와 3.6KHz 고역 통과 필터링 후의 신호의 세기를 비교ㆍ분석한 후 비화 영역을 판단하였으며, 퓨리에 변환 후의 신호의 특성과 영교차점(zero-crossin )을 비교ㆍ분석한 후 원 신호를 검출하는 알고리즘을 구현하였다. 그리고 각 영역 비화 신호에 대한 원 신호의 검출 시간을 비교하므로써 7일 동안 보호가 필요한 정보를 비화시키는데 필요한 비화 단위인 블럭의 크기(즉, 키의 크기)를 제안하였다.

  • For location based service and context awareness services, accurate indoor positioning technology is essential. The TDOA method that uses the range difference between signal source and receivers for estimating the location of the signal source, has estimation error due to measurement error. In this paper, a new algorithm is proposed to select the real root among calculated roots using the range difference information, and the estimated position of the signal source shows good accuracy compared to the existing method.

  • In this paper, an improved method of estimating static source location is proposed based on the direct position determination(DPD) method, which estimates a source position directly using received signals. When the source position is estimated using the conventional DPD method, the estimation accuracy and error depend on a pair of receivers: a reference receiver and one of the multiple moving receivers. Based on this, the weighting values of the estimating source location were obtained using the covariance matrix for the pair of receivers($S_1$, $S_{2i}$) and applied to the DPD algorithm. Finally, the source position was estimated using the proposed DPD algorithm, and it was verified that the estimation accuracy improved, compared to the conventional DPD algorithm.

A Joint Bitrate Allocation among Multiple Video Sources (다수의 영상신호원간 결합 부호화율 할당방법)

  • When the multiple video sources are together transmitted through the channel of fixed bandwidth, the efficiently joint bandwidth allocation is necessary. This paper presents the joint bandwidth allocation method to keep the constant picture duality ratio among the video sources. We first find an approximated model of distortion and bitrate for the multiplexing system of multiple sources. Then we obtain the bitrate for each source to have constant distortion ratio among the sources by using the approximated model parameters for simple implementation. It is shown by simulation that the proposed bandwidth allocation can keep almost constant picture quality ratio among the sources in comparison to an independent bandwidth allocation method.

  • In this paper, we studied for modified MUSIC algorithm of direction of arrival (DOA)estimation. Modified MUSIC algorithm search optimal covariance matrix using singular value decomposition and Bayes method, and desired signals are estimated by updating weight. In order to estimation of desired signals, we used sub spatial method of MUSIC algorithm. General MUSIC algorithm can estimate a desired signal in case of non-correlation signal. But, general MUSIC algorithm in case of correlation signal can not estimate a desired signals and resolution is decreased. Though simulation in case of correlation signal, we analyze to compare proposed MUSIC algorithm with general MUSIC algorithm.

Approximation of the Performance Loss of an Adaptive Array due to a Neighboring Interferer (근접한 간섭신호에 의한 어댑티브 어레이의 성능 열화 연구)

  • This paper derives an approximate expression for the output SINR(Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio) of Applebaum type adaptive array under the scenario of the interferer's proximity to the desired signal. The approximation is made in terms of array geometry, the arrival direction of desired signal and that of an interfering signal. An interferer in the close proximity of target signal is shown to drastically impair the away performance. An approximate expression for interferer arrival direction which results in a predetermined performance loss is also obtained in terms of array configurations. Proposed approximation agrees with the computer calculated performance impairment when the two signals are apart by less than eight degrees. The allowable proximity of the interfering signal increases with the number of array elements.

  • In this paper, passive direction-finding localization of the emitter using noisy line-of-bearing (LOB) measurements is considered. The performance of the LOB-based emitter localization using linear LSE algorithm is given. The Dependence of the performance on bias of emitter location and sensor trajectory is illustrated using the numerical results.
