This study attempts to explore the nature of science anxiety experienced by science-gifted middle school students based on Giorgi's phenomenological research method. Among the first-year middle school students selected by the University-affiliated Science Education Institute for the Gifted, six science-gifted students with high levels of science trait anxiety and science state anxiety experience were selected. Two interviews related to experience of science anxiety were conducted with participants. As a result of the analysis, science anxiety experienced by science-gifted students was caused by setting the ideal self-concept, lack of confidence, past experiences, difficulty in contents, and something valuable. Students complained of physical·physiological, cognitive, emotional·psychological discomfort when they felt science anxiety, and recognized it as an opportunity for growth. In addition, science-gifted students were shown to cope with various ways such as confronting uneasy situations directly or refining their minds to overcome various uncomfortable symptoms that arise when science anxiety is triggered. Some students thought that no special efforts were required to lower their level of anxiety because anxiety was relieved over time. The students had both negative and positive meanings for science anxiety. The results of this study will help teachers in-depth understanding of middle school science-gifted students who experience science anxiety and provide a theoretical basis for what kind of educational environment should be created and educational programs should be provided in relation to science anxiety.
The modern society is rapidly changing, and accordingly, the required teacher image is changing as well. Middle school students are immature, when they undergo major changes both physically and mentally, and teachers have a great influence. How students perceive the teacher determines the relationship between teachers and students. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze what kind of teacher image middle school students want. The purpose of this study is to analyze the image of a science teacher who prefers and avoids each class situation perceived by middle school students. To this end, 502 middle school students were divided into five classes: class type, class material presentation method, subject instruction method, subject content explanation method, and class atmosphere, and the image of science teacher who prefers and avoids is described in an open format. Concepts presented by middle school students were analyzed through semantic network analysis (SNA). The conclusions of this study are as follows: first, in order to make middle school students interested in science, an inquiry-centered experiment class should be conducted. Second, the change of class by science teacher can change it into preferred science class. Third, student-centered classes should be conducted according to the level so that students can understand. Finally, science teachers continue to strive through communication between science teachers and students, and students and students, and look forward to changes in science classes through this.
(Research background and purpose) Urban development has also had a significant impact on the eco-friendly industry. In the public environment, citizens are stressed in many areas, which has really made them need a natural ecological environment. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the environment into an eco-friendly urban public facility that breathes the urban environment space inside the building with plants. To this end, we want to show that the urban environment can be improved through vertical gardens. And through this, we want to contribute to the popularization of vertical gardens. (Research Methodology) we will analyze the problems of the current public environment in the city and look at the supplementation around vertical gardens. (Result) A study of the public environment in the city found problems such as gloomy environment, poor use of space, dim color, and poor air quality, and wanted to create a vertical garden to provide a pleasant shelter. These vertical gardens have influenced urban public places with improved aesthetics, increased social value, insulation and soundproofing effects of buildings, reduced urban heat island effects, and increased urban green appearance. (Conclusion)This study uses vertical gardens in public spaces to design public spaces that are more comfortable and share mental and physical health together.
It is important to maintain a healthy dietary habit to enjoy better health and quality of life in later life. However, taking care of one's dietary lifestyle at an older age may be a challenge. Especially, community dwelling low-income older adults are one of the most vulnerable population in regards to holding a well balanced healthy diet. The purpose of this research is to identify the current status of food delivery services for low-income older adults and explore related issues. In order to achieve the aim, this study conduced two sets of focus group interviews with 8 nutritionists and 7 social workers in Seoul. According to the research results, there are issues related to meals on wheels such as vague eligibility, poor operation conditions, work overload, and difficulty in realizing customized meal delivery. Food security for low-income older adults is a prerequisite for aging in place. It is necessary to discuss the ways to create favorable operating conditions to deliver customized meals and manage nutrition and hygiene from the perspective of social work.
It is very important to build a safe walking environment for children because children are more likely to be exposed to traffic accidents than adults due to their behavioral and physical characteristics. Therefore, this study analyzed the characteristics of road and transportation safety facilities that affect pedestrian traffic accidents around school zones using spatial poisson regression. The pedestrian-vehicle crash data in Seoul 2016-2018 was provided by the Traffic Accident Analysis System(TAAS). The main analysis results are as follow; First, the more intersections and the higher percentage of neighborhood roads in the school zone, the higher the risk of pedestrian traffic accidents. Second, the pedestrian push button was found to reduce the occurrence of pedestrian traffic accidents. Third, except for the pedestrian push button, none of the transportation safety facilities considered in this study were effective in reducing the risk of pedestrian traffic accidents. On the other hand, if not only the improvement of physical facilities but also non-physical factors such traffic safety education are supported, the effect for reducing traffic pedestrian traffic accidents in the school zone is expected to be further maximized.

The main goal of this study is to investigate influence of trust in physical education (PE) teachers and immersion experience in PE classes on attitude and satisfaction during PE classes. Total 863 middle school students in Gwang-ju metropolitan area were recruited by utilizing a convenience sampling method. All data were analyzed by using SPSS statistic program ver. 25.0 (frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis). Alpha was set at 0.05. The results of this study is summarized as in the following. First, all sub-factors of trust in the PE teachers partially positively or negatively influence sub-factors of attitude during PE classes. Second, sub-factors of satisfaction during PE classes were partially positively affected to trust in the PE teachers. Third, Attitude during PE Classes were found to have partial positive influence on immersion experience in PE classes. Fourth, sub-factors of immersion experience in PE classes have partial positive effect on the sub-factors of satisfaction during PE classes. Thus, in order to the positive attitude and greater satisfaction during PE classes, it is important to establish the trust of PE teachers through maintaining interaction with students, constructing better systemic class, and creating the class conditions based on considering students' ability. In addition, in order to enhance immersion experiences of students during PE classes, it is necessary to set up learning goals and tasks based on ability of students, to study various teaching method, and to make only focusing on the performance based PE classes without grading.
Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate newly admitted nursing home resident's experience and adjustment problems in the early stage of institutionalization. Method: In depth interviews was done on 6 elderly residents who were newly admitted. Data from the interview were analyzed using theme analysis method. Results: Results showed that reasons for Institution admission were decreasing physical health and cognitive functioning. Residents reported that difficulties they experienced in institution life were lack of individualized care, loss of autonomy and privacy associated with the demands of group living, and loss of control over activities of daily living. Conclusion: Efforts need to be made to maintain the residents' decision-making and autonomy. Listening intentionally, offering choices, and promoting personal identity might be utilized to reduce relocation stress and enhance adaptation to nursing home living.

Increasing impervious surfaces can cause various physical and mental illnesses as well as further problems like deterioration of the thermal environment and disconnection of the water circulation system in the downtown area. This study is intended to suggest baseline data for the future creation or remodelation of large-scaled urban parks in consideration of human health on the aspect of climate by analyzing air ions condition and correlation analysis between air ions and meteorological elements depending on distances from the center in the urban park. The study site was divided into four types by distances from the center of Olympic Park in Songpa-gu, Seoul, then classified as A and B. After selecting 80 points to record, land coverage and vegetation status were investigated, and then meteorological elements and air ions were measured. First, the green space rate by section is A section Center (90%)> Inner (70%)> Outer-inner (10%) = Outer (10%), B section Center (100%)> Inner (60%)> Outer- In order of inner (30%)> Outer (0%). Second, for weather factors, the temperature was analyzed by Outer (24.18℃) > Outer-inner (22.90℃) > Inner (22.43℃) > Center (21.719℃). For relative humidity, center (46.49%) > Inner (43.36%) > Outer-inner (42.41%) > Outer (38.53%) was analyzed. Third, In the case of cations in the air ions, Outer(435.71ea/㎤) > Outer-inner(415.16ea/㎤) > Inner (389.46ea/㎤) > Center (352.64ea/㎤). In the case of negative ions, Center (569.72ea/㎤) > Inner (499.83ea/㎤) > Outer-inner(410.58ea/㎤) > Outer (292.02ea/㎤). It was analyzed to increase toward Center, and analyzed to decrease with increasing distance from road. For the Air ion index, it was analyzed as Center (1.67) > Inner (1.31) > Outer-inner (1.08) > Outer (0.71). Negative irons was analyzed to increase when its measuring points close to the center and decrease with shortening distance to the road. Fourth, as a result of correlation analysis, positive(+) correlation is negative ions and ion index. These were measured to increase as the recording points closing to the center of the park from the road. The negative(-) correlation is temperature, solar radiation, and positive ions. These increased as getting closer to the road.
Purpose: This study was planned to determine the characteristics of extremely obese patients during Bariatric surgery and to evaluate how the difference in the number of postsurgical personal nutritional educations they received affected the weight loss. Methods: This is a retrospective study on the basis of the medical records of extremely obese patients for 15 months after receiving gastric banding. A total of 60 people were selected as the study subjects and they were divided into the Less Educated Group and the More Educated Group according to the average number of personal nutritional educations they received. We investigated both groups to determine the general characteristic, health related lifestyle habits, obesity related complications and symptoms in possession, and eating habits before their surgery, the body composition measurement result, obesity determination indices at 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, and 15 months before and after their surgery, and the biochemical parameters at 6 months before and after their surgery. Results: Body fat and weight showed rapid reduction until 6 months after the surgery, but thereafter reduced slowly depending on the result of body composition measurement. Regarding body fat and weight, the More Educated Group, who received nutrition education more often, showed significantly lower levels than the Less Educated Group at 15 months after surgery. Regarding BMI and degree of obesity, the More Educated Group showed significantly lower levels than the Less Educated Group at 15 months after surgery. Here, we were assured that BMI is reversely proportional to the number of personal nutritional educations at 15 months, which is more outstanding after surgery than before surgery. Conclusion: Long-term nutritional education is a key factor for the extremely obese patient in maintaining the effects of Bariatric surgery on weight and body fat reduction onwards. In the next stage, considering the characteristics of the study subjects, adoption of individual nutrition education is recommended for postsurgical prospective arbitration of obesity in order to monitor blood pressure, obesity related complications, symptoms in possession, and how eating habits and health related life habits change, and to judge the actual effect of the nutritional education method at the same time.
More than a decade after its initial proposal, deployment of IP Multicast has been limited due to the problem of traffic control in multicast routing, multicast address allocation in global internet, reliable multicast transport techniques etc. Lately, according to increase of multicast application service such as internet broadcast, real time security information service etc., overlay multicast is developed as a new internet multicast technology. In this paper, we describe an overlay multicast protocol and propose fast join mechanism that considers switching of the tree. To find a potential parent, an existing search algorithm descends the tree from the root by one level at a time, and it causes long joining latency. Also, it is try to select the nearest node as a potential parent. However, it can't select the nearest node by the degree limit of the node. As a result, the generated tree has low efficiency. To reduce long joining latency and improve the efficiency of the tree, we propose searching two levels of the tree at a time. This method forwards joining request message to own children node. So, at ordinary times, there is no overhead to keep the tree. But the joining request came, the increasing number of searching messages will reduce a long joining latency. Also searching more nodes will be helpful to construct more efficient trees. In order to evaluate the performance of our fast join mechanism, we measure the metrics such as the search latency and the number of searched node and the number of switching by the number of members and degree limit. The simulation results show that the performance of our mechanism is superior to that of the existing mechanism.
