On Developing The Intellingent contro System of a Robot Manupulator by Fussion of Fuzzy Logic and Neural Network (퍼지논리와 신경망 융합에 의한 로보트매니퓰레이터의 지능형제어 시스템 개발)

  • Robot manipulator is a highly nonlinear-time varying system. Therefore, a lot of control theory has been applied to the system. Robot manipulator has two types of control; one is path planning, another is path tracking. In this paper, we select the path tracking, and for this purpose, propose the intelligent control¬ler which is combined with fuzzy logic and neural network. The fuzzy logic provides an inference morphorlogy that enables approximate human reasoning to apply to knowledge-based systems, and also provides a mathematical strength to capture the uncertainties associated with human cognitive processes like thinking and reasoning. Based on this fuzzy logic, the fuzzy logic controller(FLC) provides a means of converhng a linguistic control strategy based on expert knowledge into automahc control strategy. But the construction of rule-base for a nonlinear hme-varying system such as robot, becomes much more com¬plicated because of model uncertainty and parameter variations. To cope with these problems, a auto-tuning method of the fuzzy rule-base is required. In this paper, the GA-based Fuzzy-Neural control system combining Fuzzy-Neural control theory with the genetic algorithm(GA), that is known to be very effective in the optimization problem, will be proposed. The effectiveness of the proposed control system will be demonstrated by computer simulations using a two degree of freedom robot manipulator.

  • 본 논문에서는 통합 관리 시스템을 이용하여 현재 김해에 있는 플랜트의 공정상태를 모니터링하고, 퍼지와 신경망을 이용하여 플랜트로부터 얻을 수 있는 데이터를 모델링 함으로써 공정의 상태를 미리 예측이 가능하도록 구성하였다. 이러한 예측된 모델을 이용하여 제어 전략을 설계함으로써 최적화된 제어 파라미터를 찾을 수 있으며, 특히 비정상적으로 들어오는 데이터에 대해서는 플랜트의 공정상태를 진단할 수 있는 가능성을 보이고 있다. 또한 기존의 통합 관리 시스템을 관리자라면 누구나 장소에 구애받지 않고 플랜트의 공정상태를 모니터링 할 수 있도록 웹을 이용하여 개발함으로써 플랜트의 능률성과 효율성 향상 및 인건비 절약 등 플랜트의 효율을 개선시킬 수 있다 즉, 네트워크가 구축되어 있는 곳이면 어디서나 모니터링이 가능하도록 시스템을 설계하였다.

Recognition System of Car License Plate using Fuzzy Neural Networks (퍼지 신경망을 이용한 자동차 번호판 인식 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose a novel method to extract an area of car licence plate and codes of vehicle number from a photographed car image using features on vertical edges and a new Fuzzy neural network algorithm to recognize extracted codes. Prewitt mask is used in searching for vertical edges for detection of an area of vehicle number plate and feature information of vehicle number palate is used to eliminate image noises and extract the plate area and individual codes of vehicle number. Finally, for recognition of extracted codes, we use the proposed Fuzzy neural network algorithm, in which FCM is used as the learning structure between input and middle layers and Max_Min neural network is used as the learning structure within inhibition and output layers. Through a variety of experiments using real 150 images of vehicle, we showed that the proposed method is more efficient than others.

Design and Implementation of Recurrent Time Delayed Neural Network Controller Using Fuzzy Compensator (퍼지 보상기를 사용한 리커런트 시간지연 신경망 제어기 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper, we proposed a recurrent time delayed neural network(RTDNN) controller which compensate a output of neural network controller. Even if learn by neural network controller, it can occur an bad results from disturbance or load variations. So in order to adjust above case, we used the fuzzy compensator to get an expected results. And the weight of main neural network can be changed with the result of learning a inverse model neural network of plant, so a expected dynamic characteristics of plant can be got. As the results of simulation through the second order plant, we confirmed that the proposed recurrent time delayed neural network controller get a good response compare with a time delayed neural network(TDU) controller. We implemented the controller using the DSP processor and applied in a hydraulic servo system. And then we observed an experimental results.

  • We studied on acquiring of transfer function and tuning of 2-DOF PID controller using ANFIS for the optimum control to turbine's variables variety. Since the shape of a membership function in the ANFIS based on the characteristics of plant. ANFIS based control method is effective for plant that its variable vary. On the other hand, a start-up time is very short and its variable's value for optimal start-up in gas turbine should be varied, but it is very difficult for such a controller to design. In this paper, we tune 2-DOF PID controller after apply a ANFIS to the operating data of Gun-san gas turbine and verify the characteristics. Its results is compared to the conventional PID controller and discuss. We expect this method will be used for another process because it is studied on the real operating data.

Implementation on the evolutionary machine learning approaches for streamflow forecasting: case study in the Seybous River, Algeria (유출예측을 위한 진화적 기계학습 접근법의 구현: 알제리 세이보스 하천의 사례연구)

  • This paper aims to develop and apply three different machine learning approaches (i.e., artificial neural networks (ANN), adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference systems (ANFIS), and wavelet-based neural networks (WNN)) combined with an evolutionary optimization algorithm and the k-fold cross validation for multi-step (days) streamflow forecasting at the catchment located in Algeria, North Africa. The ANN and ANFIS models yielded similar performances, based on four different statistical indices (i.e., root mean squared error (RMSE), Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency (NSE), correlation coefficient (R), and peak flow criteria (PFC)) for training and testing phases. The values of RMSE and PFC for the WNN model (e.g., RMSE = 8.590 ㎥/sec, PFC = 0.252 for (t+1) day, testing phase) were lower than those of ANN (e.g., RMSE = 19.120 ㎥/sec, PFC = 0.446 for (t+1) day, testing phase) and ANFIS (e.g., RMSE = 18.520 ㎥/sec, PFC = 0.444 for (t+1) day, testing phase) models, while the values of NSE and R for WNN model were higher than those of ANNs and ANFIS models. Therefore, the new approach can be a robust tool for multi-step (days) streamflow forecasting in the Seybous River, Algeria.

  • 본 논문은 신경망과 퍼지 이론을 결합한 한국어 철자 교정기 KSCNN(Korean Spelling Corrector using Neural Network)에 대하여 기술한다. KSCNN은 퍼셉트론(perceptron) 학습을 이용한 연상 메모리(associative memory)로 구성되며 자판 배열 특성을 고려한 퍼지 멤버쉽 함수에 의해 신경망의 입력값을 정한다. 본 철자 교정기의 장점은 인지적인 방법으로 철자를 교정하기 때문에 기존의 VA나 BNA와는 달리 오류의 종류에 영향을 받지 않으며 교정된 철자나 후보자들에 대한 견인값(attraction value)을 측정하여 시스템의 신뢰도를 높일 수 있다는 데 있다. 또한, 본 논문은 실험을 통해서 퍼지 멤버쉽 함수에 의한 입력 노드의 활성화가 자판 배열특성을 고려할 수 있기 때문에 시스템의 성능을 향상시킨다는 사실을 보여준다.

  • 최근 온라인교육의 필요성이 높아지고 요구 수준이 커짐에 따라 교육 서비스를 제공하는 시스템의 지능화된 처리능력이 필요하다. 퍼지신경회로망은 각각의 가중치(weight)를 갖는 채널로 연결한 망형태의 계산모델이다. 퍼지신경회로망을 학습시스템에 적용하여 학습자의 문항테스트 결과에서 학습과정을 재설정 할 수 있는 출력 값을 생성한다. 적응형 학습시스템은 퍼지신경회로망을 적용하여 개별화된 강의 코스로 학습을 진행하고 결과의 feedback을 통해 학습자의 최적 커리큘럼을 찾아내는 방법을 구현하였다.

  • Fuzzy neural network is an integrated model of artificial neural network and fuzzy system and it has been successfully applied in control and forecasting area. Recently ANFIS(Adaptive Network-based Fuzzy Inference System) has been noticed widely among various fuzzy neural network models because of its outstanding accuracy of control and forecasting area. We design a new classification model based on ANFIS and evaluate it in terms of classification accuracy. We identified ANFIS-based classification model has higher classification accuracy compared to existing classification model, C5.0 decision tree model by comparing their experimental results.
