This study evaluated the effects of maternal food environment on food behavior and hyperactivity of preschoolers. The subjects consisted of 270 children aged 5-6 years and 330 their mother. The food behavior and hyperactivity of the children were measured simultaneously by both children's mother and their teachers using the same checklists. And maternal food environment was performed by self-administered questionnaire. Mother's food value was significantly influenced by their employment status and parenting behavior. but was not affected by the levels of their education and household income. Children's hyperactivity was significant influenced by their sleep status, mother's education level and parenting behavior(p<0.05). A significant difference was noted children's food behavior with the teacher's assessment upon the association with hyperactivity(p<0.05) but was not significantly related to it by mother's checklist. The mother's food value(p<0.001) and food behavior(p<0.05) were significantly related to the their children's food behavior and hyperactivity. These results showed that maternal food environment plays an important role in children's food behavior and hyperactivity.

The purpose of the study was to analyze the levels of knowledge and behaviors of green dietary life and the factors affecting them, and to examine the educational content need for green dietary life. The data were collected from 246 middle school students in Daegu and Gyeongbuk region through a self-administered questionnaire. Data were analyzed by SPSS Windows V.21.0. The levels of knowledge and behaviors of green dietary life were not generally high. Percentage of correct answers of health category was higher than that of environment category in the knowledge of green dietary life. On the other hand, in the mean of the behaviors of green dietary life, health, environment, and consideration was higher in order. According to the result of multiple regression analysis for knowledge of green dietary life, grade was significant. In addition, monthly allowance (60,000~90,000 won), socioeconomic status (medium), and knowledge of green dietary life were the significant factors affecting behaviors of green dietary life. In the educational content need, the mean of weight maintenance was the highest, followed by separate garbage collection, prevention of environmental pollution, healthy foods, and traditional foods. On the basis of these results, education to increase knowledge of green dietary life is needed to revitalize behaviors of green dietary life.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between food behavior and social competence and hyperactivity among 330 children aged 5-6 years. Social competence and hyperactivity of the children were measured simultaneously by both children´s mothers and their teachers using the same checklists. A significant difference was noted between the teachers´ and the mothers´ assessment upon the association of food behavior with both social competence and hyperactivity (p<0.05). Health status was closely related to only the teacher´s food behavior assessment(p<0.05). Children´s social competence was significantly related with the degree of children´s activity and the degree of hyperactivity was negatively related with their sleep status(p<0.05). The higher the teachers´ assessments on the children´s food behavior were, the higher the children´s social competences were(p<0.05). However, this positive relationship between food behavior and social competence were not observed by the mothers´ assessment. These results indicate that food behavior assessed by the teachers, not by mothers, plays a role in children´s social competence and hyperactivity.

In this study, environmental knowledge and consciousness and eco-friendly behavior related to dietary life of middle school students were examined. Male and female students in Gyeongsan and Daegu Metropolitan City were selected for the study. Total of 490 questionnaires were delivered and collected, and 445 of them were analyzed by using SPSS Win Ver 12.0. Percentages of students who checked' don't know the answer' in 20 environmental knowledge assessment questions were $14.4\~41.8\%$, and those who gave correct answer to these responded to how the answer were $40.1\~93.3\%$. The average score of environmental consciousness was 3.45 and that of eco-friendly dietary behavior was 2.9 out of 5. When dietary behavior was divided by three categories, such as food purchasing, eating. and dish washing, the score of food purchasing behavior was 2.7, those of eating behavior and dish washing behavior were 3.0, 3.1, respectively. In the relationship between environmental knowledge. consciousness. and eco-friendly dietary behavior, there was significant positive correlation between howledge and consciousness, but no significant relation between consciousness and behavior. It showed that environmental knowledge and consciousness didn't always lead to eco-friendly dietary behavior. Therefore, education for practical betlavior must be emphasized even though the knowledge and consciousness education on environment are important.
The purpose of this study was to analysis of food adaptation and dietary behavior of marriage migrant women in according to their acculturation type, and find out their relationship. The survey was conducted by well-trained researchers using questionnaires translated into English, Chinese and Vietnamese. Food adaptional score was the highest in the assimilation type, and the separation type was the lowest. Dietary behavioral score in daily intake of milk and dairy foods was the highest in the assimilation type. There were positive correlations occurred between food adaptional score and dietary behavioral score, and also, between food adaptional score and assimilation score. Analysis of structural equation models shows that only assimilation affects food adaptational score, and food adaptational score affects the improvement of dietary behavior. In conclusion, marriage migrant women's positive attitude of new cultures, assimilation, might help them not only adapt to new cultures, but food adaptation and right dietary behaviors.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether using a dietary education program based on learning cycle model has any significant effect on enhancing their nutrition knowledge, dietary behavior, science-process skill and scientific attitude. The subjects of this study were children in H and G daycare center in G City. The experiment group of this study was 16 children in the class of five-year-olds and 7 children in the class of four-year-olds who passed their birthday and became five-year-olds in H daycare center. The Analysis of Covariance(ANCOVA) and Pared t-test was conducted using SPSS WINDOWS 20.0 program. The results of applying dietary education program were as follows. Experimental group indicated enhancements between pre and post test of Nutrition Achievement Test, Nutrition Quotient for Preschooler, Science Process Skill and Scientific Attitude Assessment compare to comparative group. Therefore, we can conclude that the dietary education program does have effects on enhancing of nutrition knowledge, dietary behavior, science process skill and scientific attitude. The result of this study can be used as basic data to study dietary related factors that present importance of health dietary life of young children and need to provide educational experience of healthy diet for young children.

The purpose of this study was to investigate food involvement, dietary behavior and relationship according to the levels of nutrition knowledge. Data in this research was obtained by using the questionnaire which was given out to 528 subjects(boys 182, girls 346) in Naju city area. The awareness of dietary behavior of middle school students put the first priority on breakfast from among 3 meals a day, and they selected 'taste' as the most important criterion. The majority and above of subjects responded that they had ever delivered food at least more than 1 or 2 times a week. This research found that middle school students are tends to regard themselves as being rather close to obesity or fatness. Subjects were also aware that they have some problems with a unbalanced eating habbit and irregular timing of having meals, and more than 40% of the subjects responded that they obtain the most of information about food & dietary behavior through television. Significant difference was found in the food involvement with related variables such as sex, grade, the academic background of mother, self-perception of weight, the way of weight control, perception of problems requiring improvement. Dietary behavior related with variables showed significant difference. Variables are grade, perception of meal importance, selecting standard of food, method of weight control, improvement of eating habits. Dietary behavior is found highly relative with food involvement. Dietary behavior is found highly relative with food involvement. In conclusion, suggestions that could bring motivation to improvement is more essential to the nutrition education rather than knowledge oriented education.
The purpose of this study aimed to examine the effect of use of MSG, balanced eating habit, perceived life happiness on psychological satisfaction with food in elementary, middle, and high school parents. In addition, the mediation effect of reducing unbalanced eating habit on the relationship between psychological satisfaction with food and use of MSG. For this analysis, 800 samples were collected from parents in Seoul metropolitan area. Regression analysis and mediation analysis with boostrapping were conducted. The findings of this study were as follows: (1) Group using MSG is more satisfied with food-related life than group not using it. (2) Perceived life happiness and healthy eating habit were positively related to satisfaction with food-relate life. Lastly, (3) Reducing of unbalanced eating habit was a partial mediator of the relationship between use of MSG and satisfaction with food-related life. It suggests that there is an association between use of MSG and satisfaction with food-related life, the positive effects of which may be mediated by expectancy of reducing unbalanced diet.
This study was conducted to analyze the dietary lifestyle of local Chinese consumers and to classify dietary characteristics according to their dietary lifestyle factors and dietary behaviors. This investigation was conducted for 1 month from 1 January 2017 targeting 300 adult males and females living in China using the online survey company surveymonkey. Four factors relating to dietary lifestyle were identified, gourmet factor, healthy factor, convenience factor and economic factor, and these were grouped into 4 clusters according to their dietary lifestyle factor scores. Group 1, the gourmet economy group, showed a high percentage of living alone and a high frequency of eating out, but a relatively low percentage of three regular meals per day. Their dietary lifestyle was sensitive to gourmet factors and economic factors, but less sensitive to health and convenience factors. Group 2, the wide interest group, contained a high percentage of individuals in their 30s, as well as more highly educated individuals and a higher income than other groups. Because their dietary lifestyle scores tended to be higher than those of other groups, they sought a variety of new foods and gourmet meals for enjoyment of dining and life, as well as well-being food materials and foods related to health. Group 3, the health economic group, constituted a family-type consumer group with lower income level than the other groups. Members of this group were seeking health food and natural food in their dietary lifestyle and tended to pursue a high economic profit ratio when purchasing food. Finally, group 4 showed a relatively higher percentage of women over 30 and individuals with a college level or higher education than the other groups. This group was more interested in health and taste than price and convenience, and showed the highest LOHAS orientation among middle aged Chinese women. Moreover, members of this group directly utilized their knowledge regarding nutrition in real life.

The purpose of this study was to develop curriculum of the elementary, and secondary school home economics that integrates three systems of action and to prepare a plan for convergence education in home economics curriculum. To achieve this goal, the characteristics of elementary, secondary school dietary curriculum integrating three systems of action, the focus of development, core competencies, and goals were derived through the review of literature. In this study, we set up perennial and sub-practical problems and selected content elements. The contents system of the developed curriculum was modified and supplemented by examining the validity of experts, and the achievement standard of the middle school home economics dietary education curriculum was developed by integrating the three systems of action. The content system of the elementary, and secondary school home economics curriculum that integrated the three systems of action is centered on practical problems, and the perennial problem is 'What should we do to practice healthy dietary life?' There are five areas of this curriculum: 'health and diet', 'food planning', 'food purchase and management', 'cooking', and 'meal', and the scope of curriculum is repeatedly expanded to 'personal and family', and 'social'. The practical problems in the five areas are composed of 10 practical problems in the two dimensions (personal & family, and society), and the practical problems and contents elements are spiralled by applying the principle of integration. The contents of this curriculum were compared with the achievement standards and learning elements of the dietary life in the 2015 elementary school practical arts, middle and high school 'technology & home economics', and the 'home economics science' curriculum. The results showed that the developed curriculum encompassed additional content beyond all the content already included in the 2015 revised curriculum.
