  • 본 논문은 인터넷을 이용한 음성통신 서비스를 제공하기 위해 사용되는 VoIP 시스템 칩 설계 및 기능 검증을 위한 보드 개발에 관한 것이다. 구성이 간단한 시스템을 구현하기 위하여 32 비트 RISC 프로세서인 ARM922T 프로세서 코어를 중심으로 IP 망 접속 기능, 톤 발생 및 음성신호 접속기능과 다양한 사용자 정합 기능을 가지는 VoIP 시스템 칩을 설계하고, 이 칩의 기능을 검증하기 위하여 시험 프로그램 및 통신 프로토콜을 개발하였으며, 각종 설계 및 시뮬레이션 툴을 사용하고 ARM922T와 FPGA가 결합된 Excalibur를 사용한 시험용 보드를 개발하여 시험하였다.

  • 소프트웨어 시험 후 발견된 결함을 제거하기 위해서는 먼저 해당 결함의 위치를 정확히 찾아야 한다. 결함의 위치를 찾는 작업은 많은 양의 소스코드를 검토해야 하기 때문에 많은 노력을 요구한다. 해당 노력을 줄이기 위해 슬라이싱 기법, 스펙트텀 기법, 모델 기반 기법 등 많은 기법들이 연구되었다. 하지만 이들 연구들은 결함 위치로 추정한 탐색 영역의 범위가 넓어 결과의 효과가 떨어지는 단점이 있다. 그래서 결함 위치 추정의 정확도를 높이고 결함 위치 파악의 효과를 높이기 위해 본 논문은 프로그램 소스 코드 문장에 대한 시험 케이스의 커버리지 정보, 시험의 PAss/Fail 여부, Define-Use의 관계에 있는 문장 정보를 활용하여 각 문장의 결함 의심도를 산출하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안 방법을 실험을 통하여 확인한 결과, 낮은 지역화 비용으로 결함 위치 추정을 할 수 있었다.

  • 최근 컴퓨터와 통신 기술의 발달로 인해 세계 구석구석을 연결하는 인터넷(Internet)이 대중화되었고, 실시간 멀티미디어를 이용한 다양한 응용 서비스들이 출현하고 있다. 응용 서비스들 중의 하나인 VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol)기반의 인터넷 전화 서비스는, 일반 사용자에게 인터넷 전화에 대한 인식을 확산시켰으며 기존의 음성 통신 시장에 새로운 변화를 가져왔다. 본 연구에서는 음성 데이터를 인터넷 프로토콜 데이터 패킷으로 변화하여 인터넷망에서 통화를 하는 통신 서비스 기술인 VoIP방식의 인터넷폰의 시험환경을 구축하여 향후 실질적인 활용을 통해 고품질 S/W의 개발을 촉진함으로써 높은 부가가치를 창출하고 경쟁력을 갖춘 제품의 개발 지원이 가능하다고 본다.

Peak Impact Force of Ship Bridge Collision Based on Neural Network Model (신경망 모델을 이용한 선박-교각 최대 충돌력 추정 연구)

  • The collision between a ship and bridge across a waterway may result in extremely serious consequences that may endanger the safety of life and property. Therefore, factors affecting ship bridge collision must be investigated, and the impact force should be discussed based on various collision conditions. In this study, a finite element model of ship bridge collision is established, and the peak impact force of a ship bridge collision based on 50 operating conditions combined with three input parameters, i.e., ship loading condition, ship speed, and ship bridge collision angle, is calculated via numerical simulation. Using neural network models trained with the numerical simulation results, the prediction model of the peak impact force of ship bridge collision involving an extremely short calculation time on the order of milliseconds is established. The neural network models used in this study are the basic backpropagation neural network model and Elman neural network model, which can manage temporal information. The accuracy of the neural network models is verified using 10 test samples based on the operating conditions. Results of a verification test show that the Elman neural network model performs better than the backpropagation neural network model, with a mean relative error of 4.566% and relative errors of less than 5% in 8 among 10 test cases. The trained neural network can yield a reliable ship bridge collision force instantaneously only when the required parameters are specified and a nonlinear finite element solution process is not required. The proposed model can be used to predict whether a catastrophic collision will occur during ship navigation, and thus hence the safety of crew operating the ship.

  • This paper describes the procedures developing the algorithm for analyzing signals acquired from the Bridge Weigh-in-Motion (BWIM) system installed in Seohae Bridge as a part of the bridge monitoring system. Through the analysis procedure, information about heavy traffics such as weight, speed, and number of axles are attempted to be extracted from time domain strain data of the BWIM system. One of numerous pattern recognition techniques, artificial neural network (ANN) is employed since it can effectively include dynamic effects, bridge-vehicle interaction, etc. A number of vehicle running experiments with sufficient load cases are executed to acquire training and/or test set of ANN. Extracted traffic information can be utilized for developing quantitative database of loading effect. Also, it can contribute to estimate fatigue lift or current health condition, and design truck can be revised based on the database reflecting recent trend of traffic.

  • We propose a low noise broadband light source (BLS) and investigate a cost-effective wavelength division multiplexing-passive optical network (WDM-PON) for the convergence of broadcasting and data service. The proposed BLS is used for an injection light of wavelength-locked Fabry-Perot laser diodes (F-P LD) and helps the color-free operation of dense WDM-PON (DWDM-PON). In addition, we apply this BLS to a optical source for overlay of digital broadcasting channel on the WDM-PON.

  • PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) which is used for the security of E-commerce (Electronic-commerce) in wired internet is not suitable for the mobile phone because of the fundamental limitation of performance such as less memory and less powerful CPU. Therefore, we need to develop a wireless PKI (WPKI) that provides the similar security level as the wired PKI supporting mobile phone. In this paper, we propose a lightweight and secure Wireless Certificate Management Protocol (WCMP) that is executable to the mobile phone that has a constrained communication environment and limitation of performance, and show the implementation results of the scheme based on the mobile phone. We minimize data sizes processed in mobile phone, and optimize protocols for the certificate management. This results in the reduced module sizes to be able to install in mobile phone and shows as the same level as the wired CMP.

Determination of the Fracture Hydraulic Parameters for Three Dimensional Discrete Fracture Network Modeling (3차원 단열망모델링을 위한 단열수리인자 도출)

  • Since groundwater flow paths have one of the major roles to transport the radioactive nuclides from the radioactive waste repository to the biosphere, the discrete fracture network model is used for the rock block scale flow instead of the porous continuum model. This study aims to construct a three dimensional discrete fracture network to interpret the groundwater flow system in the study site. The modeling work includes the determination of the probabilistic distribution function from the fracture geometric and hydraulic parameters, three dimensional fracture modeling and model calibration. The results of the constant pressure tests performed in a fixed interval length at boreholes indicate that the flow dimension around boreholes shows mainly radial to spherical flow pattern. The fracture transmissivity value calculated by Cubic law is 6.12${\times}$10$\^$-7/ ㎡/sec with lognormal distribution. The conductive fracture intensity estimated by FracMan code is 1.73. Based on this intensity, the total number of conductive fractures are obtained as 3,080 in the rock block of 100 m${\times}$100 m${\times}$100 m.

  • 국내의 ATM 기술은 대부분 교환기 시스템 개발에 집중되어 있었고 최근에는ATM 서비스 분야에 대한 개발 요구가 있다. 이러한 가운데 Internet 서비스는 데이타 망의 기본 서비스로 자리잡았으며, ATM망도 기본적으로 Internet 서비스를 지원하여야 한다. IETF의 IPOA (Classical IP and ARP over ATM)는 국내 망 여건 및 구현의 용이성으로 Internet 서비스를 위한 프로토콜중 가장 선호 대상이지만 RFC사양의 허술함, 구현자의 사양에 대한 이해 부족과 초기 외산 장비 제조 업체들의 자체 사양때문에 기존의 IPOA장비들과 상호 운용 시험에서 후발 IPOA 개발자는 시행착오를 겪어야만 한다. 본 논문에서는 기존 외산 IPOA 장비들과 자체 개발한 장비와 상호 운용 시험을 수행하면서 겪은 사례 연구를 정리하였고 이를 기초로 기존의 외산 IPOA와 상호 운용할 수 있는 최종 요구 사항을 제시하였다. 본 논문을 기초로 IPOA 장비를 개발한다면 국내 후발 ATM 장비 업체는 개발의 시간 및 노력을 줄일 수 있고 향후 IP/ATM 국내 기술력 향상에 도움이 될 것이다.Abstract While we have been focusing on development of ATM switching systems, recently the demand on service by use of ATM switching system is increasing rapidly. Among various ATM services, the Internet service should be provided in an ATM network since the Internet service has been the basic data service. Many domestic engineers consider the classical IP and ARP over ATM (IPOA) to be an appropriate method for interworking of IP and ATM because the IP is the network protocol used in most domestic data networks, and the IPOA is simpler and has less overhead than other approaches. However, it is not easy for a developer to implement the IPOA function module interoperable with other existing ones due to the incomplete description of IETF's RFC specifications, misunderstanding of designer and/or developer, and incompatible vendors' specifications. In this paper, we show several case studies undertaken for interoperability tests of IPOA products between our product and other vendor's products, and discuss the implementation requirement of the IPOA software to be interoperable with the existing IPOA equipment.The design and implementation requirements presented in this paper will reduce the effort of IPOA-developing engineers and time required for interoperability test. Also, this contribution will be helpful in IP/ATM interworking areas.

  • As the edge router provides the facility that it is capable of interworking with various kinds of networks, the forwarding engine should have the flexibility processing the corresponding types of frames from such network interfaces. In order to support the flexibility, we design and implement a prototype of edge router with ATM and Ethernet interfaces based on the programmable Ethernet packet processor Our forwarding engine handles and forwards the frames from ATM interfaces by using loop-back functionality of Ethernet packet processor. The performance of our edge router is evaluated by experiments throughout its performance of forwarding engine and tested by interworking with another kinds of routers.
