  • In the area of pediatric dentistry, several behavior modification techniques have been attempted to relieve young patients' dental fear. The use of audio-visual(AV) aids is one of them and is increasing. In this study, several patients' reactions to dental treatment have been investigated after using AV aids, including patients' sleep, movement, crying and overall behavior. The effectiveness of AV aids have also been investigated through patients' age, previous dental experience and daily exposure to TV or video. Thirty healthy children with Frankl behavior rating (+) or (-) were included in this study. The average age of the children was $52.9{\pm}12.7$ months and no statistical difference was found between the two groups. Thirty patients were equally divided into two groups. Group I(control) received dental treatment with the conventional tell-show-do while group II(AV) with tell-show-do and AV aids. All patients received only restorative dental treatment and received no extraction. Houpt behavior rating scale was used to evaluate patients' behavior during the dental treatment. As a result, there was no significant difference between the two groups in movement and crying. However, more patients in the AV group fell asleep during the dental treatment compared to the control group. Within the AV group, patients with previous dental experience, older age and frequent exposure to AV materials showed better overall behavior during the dental treatment as audio-visual aids were used for behavior management.

The use of online video platforms including 'YouTube' has became common. Accordingly the production and collection of high-definition and high-capacity audiovisual archives has been rapidly increasing. However, it also emphasizes that there are no references or principles in the current Public Records Act and its enforcement rules, public standards, and guidelines. This paper ultimately examines the provisions that are related to audiovisual archives of the current Public Records Act, which needed to be revised and enacted due to the lack of an audiovisual archives management manual of national institutions, public broadcasters, and organizations can refer to. In addition, this study tries to find out what kind of systems and guidelines are used in audiovisual archives management. • Broadcasting and audiovisuals are the easiest audiovisuals to access in everyday life and are shared through the media by recording the times. Overseas, independent broadcasting and audiovisual archives are already in operation under the legal system. As the domestic broadcasting and audiovisual industries continue to grow in size and are drawing global attention, the establishment and operation of public broadcasting and audiovisual archives need to be discussed in more detail. In particular, it is clear that the legal device is a task that must be preceded as the basis for the establishment of public broadcasting and audiovisual archives. To this end, this study first looked at the Digital Archive Center, which was operated in the 2000s. In addition, the cause of the dismantling of the Digital Archive Center was considered as the absence of a legal device, and the case of the Institut national de l'audiovisuel(INA), which has been operating on a legal basis for a long time, was investigated. INA is a representative example of implementing a lead-based system in the broadcasting and audiovisual fields, and has been introduced several times through previous studies, but tends to be focused on user services. Therefore, in this study, the analysis was focused on legal factors supporting the operation of INA. Finally, in order to realize the Public Broadcasting and Audiovisual Archive discussed in the previous study, I would like to suggest a legal device for the establishment of Public Broadcasting and Audiovisual Archive in Korea.
