A study on Systems and Needs for The Mass Customiztion (대량 주문식 생산의 체계와 중요성에 대한 연구)

  • Mass production system of most manufacturing companies has been supplying us with various useful needs in life for many years. It leads our life to live in comfortable and prosperous circumstances. And we can consider that the contributions of the mass production system to the reduction of different stratification in community remarkable . However, The needs of many clients in these days are various, different, and segmented. It is undesirable to consider every Product on the same basis anymore. So these new requirements of the customers let manufacturing companies be ready for the new production systems which are able to satisfy all the customers, but differently. In this aspects, the customization system could meet new needs of the customers. As we know, cost increase and flexibility matter for the production are main difficulties for the introduction to mass customization. However, to make arrangements for the mass customization systems of the firms is an indispensible factor for maintaining competitiveness and coping with new needs in the future market. We should remember that customers' needs in market will be changing, segmenting, and diversifying, continuously. For this purpose this thesis is tried for studying strategical approach methods of the mass customization.

  • Previous studies, Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Post Acceptance Model (PAM) have a little limitation in time series analysis. To solve this limitation, we used system dynamics as research methodology and designed simulation model based on TAM and PAM. Moreover, we designed new simulation model which can analyize time series data in customers' demand change from initial acceptance to post acceptance. This study targeted domestic mobile phone market. The simulation results showed that diffusion graph was similar to real data. That means we validated our simulation model. Since the simulation model offers the graph of customer's demand change by time, so it can be useful as a leaning tool. Therefore, we think this study helps IT companies use the model for forecasting of market demand.

  • This research paper aims to inform and suggest methods in which Korea Media content could successfully enter the African broadcasting market. It also seeks to suggest preparatory steps and propose various policies that Korean government could provide, to aid the export process. In order to maximize the Korean media content exposure in the Kenyan market, increased financial support for subtitles and dubbing as well as launching a Korean culture center is suggested. In addition, to encourage more diverse channels to show the Korean content, joint content production between Korea and Kenya should be considered. Moreover, in analyzing the social, cultural, ethnic and local characteristics of the Kenyan people, the paper seeks to identify the most efficient method in which Korean wave could be more widespread in Kenya. Since virtually no prior research papers exist on Kenyan's social and cultural characteristics and their thought process on the Korean media content, this paper seeks to provide valuable insight and policy implications for Korean media policy makers.

  • This study seeks to analyze vertical integration structure of Korean popular music market focused on corporation concentration and production system by applying production of culture perspective of Peterson, Subject of analysis is Melon weekly music chart(2000-2013), which is No.1 digital music distributor. The result showed vertical integration structure of Korean popular music industry was different from America. Vertical integration of American major was based on open system to be responsible for promotion and distribution by M&A of independent label but entrusted them-with total production to cope-with uncertainty of music market. On the other hand, Korean system was in charge of pure distribution only as digital service provider and it showed modified vertical structure because traditional value chain was destroyed by changing digital music environment. Especially found seriousness of oligopoly by distribution company of conglomerate affiliation. and this is harm against building healthy industry ecosystem in creative economy era and it needs improvement through study of advanced case, open system.

  • A systematic brand value management starts from its measurement. Accordingly, a number of studies have proposed to measure the value of the brands. However, most of them deal with the brand value of the tangible products. Also, in many cases, such an effort did not bring long-lasting effects because either it ended up with an one-time measurement or it employed a different measurement method each time, thus hampering the comparability of the results and the accumulation of knowledge over time. So, this study has measured retail brand value index of the discount stores and the department stores of Korea every year between 2002 and 2004. And then it provides what they have found over that period. In addition this study examines the significant relationship between retail brand value components and the market performance.

A Comparative Study on the Excess Returns of Growth Stocks and Value Stocks in the Korean Stock Market (한국 주식시장에서 성장주와 가치주의 초과수익률 비교 연구)

  • This study attempts to empirically investigate the excess returns of growth stocks in the Korean stock market comparing with those of value stocks. Recently, a few of IT and bio-pharmaceutical stocks with high growth potentials have accomplished dramatically high returns in the Korean stock market. Whereas, important prior studies in this line have observed negative excess returns from investment of growth stocks on average. And a few studies have reported that the distribution of excess returns from growth stocks is not normal but positively skewed. Empirical results of the present study are consistent with those of prior studies. Interestingly, the present study observed serial inverse correlation between excess returns of growth stocks and value stocks. Also, regardless of growth or value stocks, the stocks with higher PEG(=PER/ROE) showed higher excess returns.

The political economy analysis of the mobile phone subsidy (이동통신 보조금의 정치경제학적 분석)

  • The government has the responsibility to prevent abuses of monopoly and promote competition in order to maximize consumer welfare. The government should address the asymmetry in the information as much as possible and ensure consumer choice. The subsidy seems to reduce the burden on the consumer service charges and handset prices but it actually distorts the market through price discrimination. The government caused the principal-agent problem by neglecting their appropriate role to prevent distortion of the mobile telecom market. The money used as subsidy is part of excess profit and could be transferred to down the price of mobile phone and charges and it would become a benefit to consumers. Separate announcement of subsidies by Mobile Communications Terminal Distribution Structure Improvement Act is a little developed policy but it was not actually realized. The market price close to that from perfect competition structure is plausible, ultimately.

Study on fairness issues in mobile telecommunication service bill rates (이동통신서비스요금의 적정성에 관한 연구)

  • Telecommunication cost have been increasing successively in Korean hoseholds and its level is high now. Even though here are a lot of issues related to the high bill of mobile telecommunication services, plausible solutions have not been provided yet. 99% of Koreans use mobile phones and it is the highest rate in the world, but bill is relatively high. This situation may be brought by the government policy selection that it supports three mobile telecom companies systems. Thus least efficient company should be supported to sustain by pricing policy and MVNO cannot come into the market. The government can make mobile pricing system consider revenue and cost only in proper manner and constrain marketing cost in the rational level. And it can reduce mobile bill levels and selection rights of consumers by restraining too much complicated bill system. Fairness of mobile phone bill levels could be achieves by mobile telecommunication structure improvement through active MVNOs and reduction of excessive marketing costs. Mobile bills can be made more acceptable if the base is measured rate system.

  • Recently, the economic trend of internal enterprises toward the world market appears to exceedingly associate with industrial plants. Such circumstance would limit the diversity of project items and cause various issues of extreme disproportion of overseas construction market at the same time. Consequently, it seems essential to inspect the present state of bookings in the civil engineering and construction fields including the service corps, regarding the former period (from the year 1990 to 1996), the depressed period (from 1997 to 2000), and the latter period of monetary crisis (from 2001 to July 2006), based on the critical situation in foreign exchange occurred in the late 1990's; also important to look into the shifts of the representative items in such fields by regional groups of principal nations throughout the world. Therefore, the current situation of bookings in overseas construction companies should be clarified, and ultimately, appropriate measures should be established.

The Effect Factors affecting Lease Guaranteed Loan on Lease Market Fluctuation by Time Series Analysis Model (시계열 분석 모형을 이용한 전세시장 변동에 따른 전세보증대출 영향 요인에 관한 연구)

  • With the rapid increase in the price of house lease, a unique housing form in Korea, a serious social issue has been raised as to the use value of house lease and residence stability of the ordinary people. This study thus aimed to analyze the direct factors that affect lease guaranteed loan and market volatility in order to explore the right direction of financial policy to reduce housing burdens. To this end, the direct variables affecting house lease guaranteed loan, including lease price, transaction price and lending rate, were defined. Vector Error Correction Model (VECM), a time series analysis, was employed to dynamically explain the data. Based on the house lease prices and bank data on loans between January 2010 and December 2014, it was found that the increase in lease price was the direct result of the increase in lease guaranteed loan, not that of the decrease in lending rate or increase in housing transaction price.
