Performance Evaluation of an Ultra Wideband Time Hopping Binary Impulse Radio System (초광대역 시간 도약 이전 임펄스 무전 전송 시스템의 성능 평가)

  • 초광대역 시간 도약 이전 임펄스 무전 전송 시스템의 성능 평가 1672 최근 들어 실내 무선 LAN(local area network)이나 군용 무선 통신 시스템을 위한 새로운 대역 확산 전송방식으로서 초광대역 시간 도약 임펄스 무선 전송(ultra wideband time hopping impulse radio; 이하 IR) 기술이 큰 관심을 모으고 있다. 신호 전송을 위해 연속적인 정현파를 이용하는 기존의 무선 전송 시스템과는 달리 IR 시스템은 1 nese 이하의 매우 짧은 펄스폭의 펄스 위치 변조(pulse position modulation)된 가우시안 모노사이클 멀스 열을 이용하므로서 매우 작은 크기의 수 GHz에 이르는 초광대역 스펙트럼을 가지며 기존의 통신 시스템에 거의 간섭을 미치지 않으며 사용 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 동기식 이진 (synchronous binary) IR 시스템의 성능 분석 및 평가 결과를 제시하고자 한다.이를 위해 의사 잡음 부호 발생기와 decimator로 구성된 시간 도약 패턴을 사용 하여 다원 접속 간섭 이 배제되는 동기식 이진 IR 시스템의 비트 오율에 대한 closed form 결과를 유도하고, 유도된 이론적인 성능 결과를 부가성 백색 가우시안 잡음 채널에 대한 모의 실험을 통해 확인하였다. 또한 모의 실험을 통해 상관 복조기에서 발행한 렌덤 타이밍 지터에 대해 IR 시스템의 강인한 특성을 확인하였다.

  • The C-ITS requires the lane level positioning of the vehicle in the land transportation environment, and it is most effective to utilize the GNSS. In the precision positioning system based on satellite navigation, the evaluation of dynamic environment of lane level positioning performance should be accompanied and the evaluation system configuration should be preceded. In this paper, we selected performance indicators, assessment equipment, and reliability of reference equipment for evaluation of precision positioning user systems based on the GNSS. The performance evaluation system described above is applied to a real system, and the performance evaluation tool developed for the evaluation system is described. The numerical performance evaluation was carried out based on the data collected by carrying out the actual testbed driving. The performance evaluation by the actual driving trajectory and driving image comparison was performed to derive and analyse the evaluation results of the vehicle lane level positioning user system.

  • Technologically advanced railway countries had a unique ability to design, test and evaluation systems for development of High-speed train system. To evaluate the performance of the train system in Korea for the development of advanced measurement technology and systems are needed. In this study, the Overall Measuring System(OMS) is going to be established to efficiently verify the performance, stability and reliability of the train system and the components, and verify of the maximum speed though an on-line test. OMS consist of vehicle measuring system, pantograph measuring system, video monitoring system and monitoring room was constructed for the overall measuring system and monitoring system. The results of this study were expected to contribute to technical improvement for evaluation of train system.

  • 최근 지열원 열펌프 시스템 설치가 해마다 평균 10-30%젓도 꾸주히 증가하고 있다 주요 연구동향은 토양열전도 측정, 지열히트펌프 시스템 전주기 성능평가 하이브리드 시스템의 초기비용 저감과 이러한 지열원 열펌프 시스템 설계방법분야 개발에 대해 초점이 맞춰지고 있다. 특히 국내에서 현재 시공되어진 많은 시스템들이 부실시공의 문제에 노출되고 있으며 이러한 시점에서 현재의 저가 입찰제도 보다는 외국 사례와 같은 성능확인 제도로의 전환 및 많은 연구가 필요하다. 성능확인제도는 사전 성능 예측과 사후 성능 확인 검증으로 구성되며 본 기술현안 보고서는 최근 국내외 연구동향 및 사전 성능 예측과 사후 성능 검증 관하여 정리하여 본다.

  • 음성인식 및 합성 시스템으로 대표되는 음성입출력장치의 개발 및 실용화에 따라 이들의 성능을 객관적으로 평가할 수 있는 방법이 중요하게 되었다. 그러나 국내에서의 이분야에 대한 체계적인 연구는 맞지 않다. 본고에서는 이와 관련한 지금까지의 국내외 연구예들을 검토하고 우리 실정에 맞는 평가법 작성을 위한 방법을 모색하고자 한다. 음성입출력장치의 객관적인 평가방법이 확립되면 연구 개발자는 여러방식의 우열을 객관적으로 파악할 수 있고 신뢰성있는 시스템을 효율적으로 개발할 수 있으며 관련제품의 사용자입장에서는 제품간의 성능비교가 가능하게 될 것이다.

  • Design and implementation methodologies on the performance evaluation system of two-channel ring-core Flux-Gate Compass (FG-Compass) are described, with evaluation procedures and methods based on the polynomial regression models. Performance evaluation system is consists of a step motor driving unit, a bearing transmitting unit and, evaluation programs using polynomial regression formulae. Through performance evaluation tests, total residual deviation tests, total residual deviation of $\pm$4$^{\circ}$ and eigen residual deviation of $\pm$2$^{\circ}$ are obtained from the FG-Compass. The result is more accurate values than the typical FG-Compass with eigen residual deviation of $\pm$4$^{\circ}$ and is provide a possibility to develop a high performance FG-Compass. In addition, the design methodology of a smart FG-Compass with the self estimation and correction of residual deviations is also discussed.

Performance evaluation system consists of a step motor driving unit, a bearing transmitting unit and evaluation programs derived from polynomial regression formulae. Newly designed performance evaluation system enabled the accuracy of TCRC FG-Compass to be ascertained. It was confirmed that the size of residual deviation of TCRC FG-Compass is $2^{\circ}$, while that of the conventional one is $4^{\circ}$. In addition, the design methodology to the self estimation and correction of residual deviations is also discussed.

  • The performance of fuel cell/gas turbine hybrid systems is highly affected by system configuration. In this study, the performance of a hybrid system combining a molten carbonate fuel cell (MCFC) and an indirectly fired gas turbine was predicted. Firstly, general performance trends of the hybrid system depending on major design parameters were examined. Then, the most feasible design options with the least impact on the MCFC stack design conditions were drawn. The economic advantage of the hybrid system over the basic MCFC only system was evaluated.

  • In this paper, we propose a distributed communication model of intrusion detection system(IDS) in which integrated security management at networks level is possible, model it at a security node and distributed system levels, design and implement a simulator. At the node level, we evaluate the transfer capability of alert message based on the analysis of giga-bit security node architecture which performs hardware-based intrusion detection. At the distributed system level, we perform the evaluation of transfer capability of detection and alert informations between components of distributed IDS. In the proposed model, we carry out the performance evaluation considering decision factors of communication mechanism and present the results in order to gain some quantitative understanding of the system.

  • The C-ARS(Cooperative Automated Roadway System) refers to a road infrastructure system that links automated vehicles with road infrastructure and communicates with each other via V2X communication to support automated vehicles. The purpose of this study is to suggest a performance evaluation method of C-ARS service. This study exemplifies the 'Work zone information service' among I2V service that provide information to automated vehicles in road infrastructure. First, we define the requirements and service scope needed to check the use case analysis and service performance of the service, and propose an evaluation system for performance evaluation of these services. In addition, the evaluation system was used to verify the feasibility of evaluation through the field test of 'Work zone information service'.
