  • 인터넷의 발달로 네트워크 업무가 점점 더 많이 도입이 됨으로써 네트워크 상에 노출되어 있는 데이터와 시스템들의 보안은 중대한 문제로 대두되기 시작했다. 그러나 장비나 소프트웨어 등의 보안성과 보안성능 평가에 대한 기준이 명확하지 않아 이들의 객관적인 평가에 많은 어려움이 따르고 있다. 본 논문에서는 관련 연구 기관들의 평가 방법들을 분석하여 이들을 객관적으로 평가 할 수 있는 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 내장형 소프트웨어 성능 평가 및 분석 도구는 제한된 자원에 효율적인 내장형 소프트웨어의 개발 속도와 신뢰성 향상을 위한 유용한 도구이다. 본 논문은 내장형 시스템 개발자가 쉽고 편리하게 성능 평가 결과를 분석하고 효율적인 소프트웨어 개발 기회를 보장받을 수 있는 GUI 형태의 성능 분석 레포팅 뷰어(reporting viewer)를 설계하고 구현한다. 제안하는 성능 분석 레포팅 뷰어는 내장형 소프트웨어에 대해 생성된 저수준의 성능 평가 로그를 API 수준의 자료구조로 변경하는 정보 변환기 모듈과 API 형태의 자료구조를 이용해 사용자가 원하는 결과를 GUI 형태로 출력하는 레포팅 생성기로 구성된다. 제안하는 성능 분석 레포팅뷰어는 개발자나 사용자에게 그래픽 형태의 편리한 성능 분석 레포팅을 제공하며, 나아가API를 통해 개발자 자신의 취향에 맞는 레포팅 화면의 구성과 개발 가능성을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • The compliance of deep geological disposal facilities for high-level radioactive waste with safety objectives requires consideration of uncertainties owing to temporal changes in the disposal system. A comprehensive review and analysis of the characteristics of this evolution should be undertaken to identify the effects on multiple barriers and the biosphere. We analyzed the evolution of the buffer, backfill, plug, and closure regions during the early phase of the post-closure period as part of a long-term performance assessment for an operating license application for a deep geological repository in Finland. Degradation mechanisms generally expected in engineered barriers were considered, and long-term evolution features were examined for use in performance assessments. The importance of evolution features was classified into six categories based on the design of the Finnish case. Results are expected to be useful as a technical basis for performance and safety assessment in developing the Korean deep geological disposal system for high-level radioactive waste. However, for a more detailed review and evaluation of each feature, it is necessary to obtain data for the final disposal site and facility-specific design, and to assess its impact in advance.

  • The objective of this paper is to evaluate the performance of an operating system for embedded devices to that of the commercially available Windows platform. Analysis includes benchmarking the operating systems using a 'typical' PC workload, as well as identifying low-level areas in which the updated OS is limiting or enhancing the system performance. The primary benchmarking suites selected for this paper are 'WinStone' and 'HBench', with the former providing an application-based suite of tests and the latter providing the most direct means for isolating operating system effects on the system. We have demonstrated in a case study for embedded microprocessors, and evaluated a Windows platform at a low-level test as well as an application level using a benchmarking suite.

  • This paper provides a comprehensive study of the effect of time delay on adaptive transmission methods. By adaptive we mean that the transmission of data is made adaptive according to channel conditions. That is, the modulation level at the transmitter is carefully controlled for maximizing bandwidth efficiency, on the basis of the observation of instantaneous channel characteristics. By making use of the simulator developed for the present work, a large number of channel propagation environments including the models proposed in 3GPP were submitted to the simulator and the performance with respect to both time delay and SNR is observed. The results show that the performance is very sensitive to channel delay and in some cases the performance shows irreducible BER (IBER). A large amount of delay together with a high fading rate greatly affects the performance of adaptive transmission systems.

  • Heat regenerator attached in small-scale regenerative radiant tube burner was designed using the theoretical computation code and was confirmed the performance of waste heat recovery ratio. From the computation, when ceramic ball of 4-5kg was used, temperature efficiency and available waste heat recovery ratio were predicted 80% and 70%, respectively. Similar efficiencies were obtained from the experiments using LPG. However, since exhaust gas temperature entered into regenerator was below 85$0^{\circ}C$ which was much lower than that we expected, preheat air temperature was lowered below 80$0^{\circ}C$.

  • A caching is a useful technique to alleviate performance degradation due to the inherent narrow bandwidth by reducing contention of broadcast requests. In this paper, we propose a caching strategy for pull-based data broadcast system which considers data popularity among clients. In addition, the proposed strategy also reflects recentness of data access based on data broadcast version. Then, we evaluate the performance of proposed strategy through a simulation approach. According to the results, the strategy considering both hit ratio and miss cost shows better performance than the traditional LRU. In addition, the strategy considering data popularity among clients shows better performance in some cases.

  • Cornering maneuvers with reduced body roll and without comfort loss are important requirements for car manufacturers. An electric active roll control(ARC) system controls the body roll angle by using motor-driven actuators installed at the centers of the front and rear stabilizer bars. Co-simulation using the Matlab/Simulink controller model and the CarSim vehicle model was proposed to evaluate the performance of the ARC control algorithm. To validate the performance of the ARC actuator and system, bench tests and vehicle tests were proposed.

  • 현재 방송중계용으로 쓰이는 주파수대는 3~30GHz의 M/W 대역이다. 그러나 갈수록 늘어나는 서비스와 전송용량의 증대로 인해 주파수 부족현상이 일어나는 추세이다. 이에 대안 방안으로 주파수 재배치에 관하여 대두가 되고 있다. 이동방송 중계용 링크인 FPU 링크는 차후 다른 주파수 대역으로 이전시 이러한 링크에서 사용되었던 시스템 제원을 토대로 필요한 대역에 대한 다양한 변조방식으로 먼저 시뮬레이션 평가 후 이용채널 개수 및 이전 가능 여부 둥과 같은 조치가 수행되어져야 한다. 본 논문에서는 M/W대역의 주파수를 이용한 서비스 중의 하나인 이동전송용 중계방송시스템인 FPU(Field Pick Up)시스템을 구현하고 무선채널에서 영상을 전송하였을 때의 성능을 PSNR, BER의 특성을 통하여 평가하였다. 전송되는 데이터는 실제 동영상(320$\times$240 61frame)을 동영상 압축방식 중 하나인 MPEG을 이용하여 압축하고, 압축된 영상 정보를 무선 채널상에 전송하였을 때 복원된 영상을 분석하였다.
