A Study on The Family Life Issues of Institutionalized Single-Mother Families in Seoul -Focused on the Needs Assessment of Social Workers and Mothers- (모자보호시설 입소모자가정의 가족생활 실태에 관한 연구 -서울시 모자보호시설 종사자와 입소 어머니의 요구도 조사를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore family life issues of institutionalized single-mother families in Seoul. Using in-depth interviews and self-administered questionnaires, this study is focused on the needs assessments of social workers and institutionalized single-mothers. Subjects were 4 social workers and 31 institutionalized single-mothers. The results of study showed that institutionalized single-mother families experienced economic, child rearing, emotional problems, negative stigma and the loss of social networks. Future research, theoretical and practical implications are added.

  • 2001년 9월 11일 미국에 대한 항공기 데러 이후 해상화물운송선박 및 항만시설에 대한 해상 테레에 대비하고자 IMO에서 "국제선박 및 항만시설보안 코드(ISPS Code)"를 제정 및 채택하여 2004년1월 1일부터 발효 중이다. 이와 관련하여 선박에서 이를 적용하기 위하여 해운선사에서는 많은 노력을 경주하였으며 보안시스템을 효과적으로 운영하는가에 대한 검증은 선박보안심사를 통하여 이루어지고 있다. 또한 보안시스템을 운영하고자 할 경우에는 회사보안책임자, 선박보안책임자 및 해상종사자에 대한 효과적인 사전교육이 반드시 필요한 실정이다. 따라서 향후 선박보안심사는 ISM 심사와의 차이를 고려하여 시스템의 이해 및 운영, 보안설비 정비, 보안사건 발생시 비상대응 및 시스템활동기록의 검증에 집중하여야 하며 ISM 심사와의 통합형태가 되어야 할 것이다. 또한 선박보안교육의 경우에는 교육기관을 통한 보안교육에만 의존할 것이 아니라 승선 전 및 승선 후 교육을 통하여 보안의식을 고양시키어야 한다.

Evaluation for Importance and Performance of Sanitary Characteristics by Bakers in Busan (부산지역 제과제빵종사자의 위생요인에 대한 중요도와 수행도 평가)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the state of hygiene education aimed for by bakers, and the evaluations of the importance and the performance concerning sanitary characteristics by the bakers. The questionnaires were administered to 186 bakers in Busan and the data evaluated by 5 scales method of Likert were statistically analyzed. 20.4% of bakers have not received hygiene education. Only 32.8% of bakers have experienced hygiene education regularly. The more the bakers were educated, the more they practiced the contents of hygiene education. The major reason of education unfulfilment was due to insufficient equipments and facilities. The scores of the hygienic performance of educated bakers were significantly (p<0.05) higher than those of uneducated bakers in food sanitation, especially for sanitary characteristics on inspection, pre-preparation and distribution. The mean scores of the importance and the performance evaluated by bakers were 4.05/5.00 and 3.76/5.00, respectively. The bakers assessed the highest scores on the importance and the performance of personal hygiene. The gap score was -0.30 between the importance and the performance for sanitary characteristics. The baker recognized that sanitary management was not performed as much as they recognized its importance. The importance and the performance grid of bakers revealed that the items of checking the certification for the origin of new food ingredient, inspecting deliveries as quickly as possible, separation between preparing and breading time, thawing frozen food under running tap water/in refrigerator, separating disposal gloves and utensils by the purpose, putting products in cleaned and sterilized utensils, letting consumes know the expiration date of products, preventing a rubber hose from being left on the kitchen floor, checking insect nets frequently and so on showed lower scores compared to the mean scores of the importance and the performance. The levels of the hygienic performance by bakers were positively correlated (p<0.01) with the recognitions of the importance on sanitary characteristics. These results might provide basic data for hygienic training and play a role on the improvement of the sanitary management in bakery.

The Relationship between Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention among Fire Protection System Management Workers (소방시설관리업 종사자의 직무만족과 이직의도와의 관계)

  • This study examined job satisfaction among fire protection system management workers in the fire industry and analyzed how job satisfaction affects turnover intention. The results revealed that, among the control variables, including age, rank, academic background, payment, total career, license, and tasks, significant differences in job satisfaction were found in the tasks between groups, while no significant differences in turnover were found in any control variable between groups. Additionally, the results revealed that, among the lower variables of job satisfaction, increased satisfaction with payment and organizational system affected the degree of turnover intention, while work and promotion did not. These results are to be used as data for human management of technicians and for creating alternatives. Future studies are required to establish a reasonable task rotation cycle for raising job satisfaction, to examine the current status of low-cost orders and countermeasures, and to analyze the direction of development of fire protection system management business.

Effects of Task Stress on the Job Satisfaction of Fire Protection Management Workers (소방시설관리업 종사자의 직무스트레스가 직무만족에 미치는 영향)

  • This study identified the level of task stress experienced by fire protection system management workers and analyzed the effects of task stress on job satisfaction and proposed future response. First, task stress according to background cause showed differences in relation to age, position, monthly salary, total career, license, and task, but there was no difference in relation to academic background. Second, of the sub-parameters of stress, physical environment, task demand, organizational system, lack of reward, and workplace culture have negative effects on job satisfaction as stress increases, while interpersonal relation conflict and job insecurity do not have any effect. In the future, it will be necessary to investigate the empirical causes of work overload and to study organization-level stress relief measures.

A Study on Improving Financial Support of Grouphome for Children (아동그룹홈 재정지원 개선 방안 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the problems and improvement plans of grouphome management, by analyzing the sizes and items of children grouphome budgets of national and local governments. Major results of this study were as follows. First, the most crucial issue regarding labor costs within child grouphome budget, was that there was a significant difference in conditions between workers in similar institutions and regions. Small-sized institutions operated under a system that inevitably required excessive workload for workers, leading to exhaustion. Second, the support of operation expenses was absolutely insufficient to meet the general and special needs of children, and the relative differences between facilities of the same type were also identified. Third, children grouphome had limitations in stable business planing and implementation due to the absence of business expense support. Through this analysis, this paper discussed appropriate budget supporting measures regarding children grouphome, in order to ensure equal protection of grouphome children.

  • In this study, we found that the release and dispersion of ammonia can create hazardous atmospheres using FLACS software. In General, ventilation or gas detector installations are recommended as preventive measures to control explosion incidents. However, the ventilation installations cannot be applicable to the refrigeration facility that uses ammonia as refrigerating medium, because the freezing room should be sealed. From the accident investigation of the explosion case, we suggested that all electronic devices were needed to be switched by explosion proof devices, and communication facility was also needed to be installed to announce to all employees within a building in case alert condition like ammonia releases occurred.

  • 본 연구는 생태면적률을 교육시설에 적용하기 위한 프로세스 개선에 관한 연구로 수행되었다. 생태면적률은 최근 시행되기 시작한 개발사업에 대한 환경지표로 생태환경보전에 매우 중요한 역할을 담당할 것으로 전망되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 관련 선행연구 및 제도, 기준고찰을 통하여 생태면적률에 관한 국내외의 동향을 파악하고, 교육시설에 생태면적률을 적용하기 위한 실태파악을 위하여 일차적으로 중부권 C시의 초등학교를 중심으로 적용된 대지 및 체육장 면적분포, 교지 대비 체육장 비율, 조경면적, 친환경 인증 등에 관한 현황조사를 수행하였다. 본 연구의 실태조사 결과를 통하여 교육시설의 부지조성 특성에 따른 부지유형을 도출하였고, 부지유형별 생태면적률 적용 프로세스를 제안하고, 제도적 적용을 검토하기 위하여 공공부문의 도시 건축 및 환경분야 종사자 및 건축사의 생태면적률에 관한 인지도를 알아보기 위한 설문을 수행하였다. 본 연구의 결과 교육시설의 계획특성에 부합되는 생태면적률 적용 프로세스를 제안하였다.

A Survey on the Awareness and Performance of Infection Management of Workers in long-term Care Institutions (장기요양 기관 종사자들의 감염관리에 대한 인지도 및 수행도 연구)

  • The current study was conducted to understand the status of infection management through a survey on the status of awareness and performance of infection management and to improve efficient infection management and education programs of workers in long-term care institutions. The subjects of the study were 134 workers at 35 long-term care institutions in the C region, and data were collected from July 12 to 30, 2021. They agree to participate in research self reported structured questionnaire by SPSS program ver. 22.0. As a result of the study, the subject's awareness of infection management appeared to be a difference in accordance with occupation (F=3.181, p=.032) and education experience (F=6.372, p=.013). Also, factors influencing the subject's performance of infection management were occupation (F=3.972, p=.010) and education experience (F=4.403, p=.038). The relationship between awareness of infection management and performance resilience fined out a significantly positive correlation (r=.919, p<.001). As a result, for patient safety in long-term care institutions in the COVID-19 pandemic situation, it is very important for workers not only to recognize the importance of infection management but also to directly perform infection management activities. To this end, regardless of the size of the institution, it is necessary to prepare a systematic and continuous curriculum by occupation and educational topic, and to legally strengthen the evaluation system to improve the quality of the infection management system.

Improvement of Dementia Service through an Analysis of Dementia Knowledge of Care-givers at Adult Day Service Center (노인주간보호센터 돌봄 종사자의 치매지식 분석을 통한 치매서비스 개선 방안)

  • As South Korea has become an aged society, the dementia rate has also been increasing. With the introduction of both de-institutionalization and community care in 2017, the importance of community-based care has increased. Perspectives on dementia have also been shifting from the medical model and social model to the person-centered model. This paper suggests ways to improve dementia service through analyzing the dementia knowledge of care-givers at ADS. The paper includes an FGI with the care-givers who have worked for more than 2 years. Based on such FGI, the paper draws sub-themes from 7 areas. Among the suggestions for improvement are: community-based service with daily routine practice, improving awareness of dementia for co-living, and person-centered service based on individuality and diverseness.
