Application of Incentive on Design VE to Public Design-Build Projects (공공부문 설계시공일괄사업의 설계VE 인센티브 적용방안)

  • Ministry of Construction & Transportation prescribes that all of the construction works including Design-Build whose cost more than then billion won must be applied VE at the design phase. It is difficult to apply VE at the design development phase to design-build projects under current design-build contract because design should be proceeded with fixed price by bidding. Therefore the present study suggests an application of incentive which can maximize the effectiveness of design VE in design-build projects after analysing current design-build's characteristics and difficulties of design VE application.

  • Domestic Design-Build, which has applied for client's convenience, has many problems Because It is being applied in the building law, which devides between architects and contractors. Among problem the relation between architects and contractors is a typical problem. It makes a quality decline and a design skill decline. In result, it causes insufficience of competitive power in overseas projects from now on. So we present the plans to improve mutual relations between architects and contractors. And we induce development of design skill and good quality of building by presenting a coordinative committee model between them in Design-Build projects.

  • In Korea construction project case, architectural construction project is curtailed production because information network process within multidisciplinary isn't smooth. Particularly, the construction is not insufficient about performance, cost and material, construction process, etc. in result various question arises because of design error in construction step. And various mistake is made because communication path within multidisciplinary isn't smooth in architectural design and design change process. This research proposed the optimization method of building system which is satisfied with performance of building, cost, constructability, and proposed the information management plan which is connected with that. And The construction information in this research is restricted to design/construction information which is considerate in design step.

  • The design with construction knowledge and experience can eliminate inefficiency in the process of construction and improve productivity in all phase of construction project. To utilize constructability knowledge most effectively in design phase, the information must be made available to the design team at the proper point in time. Current methods for effective utilization of constructability knowledge have focused on the structuralization of constructability knowledge such as checklist, which lack the consideration of the proper point in time. However, constructability knowledge which is used at the inapposite point in time consequently leads to unnecessary rework. To minimize this inefficiency and improve productivity, project manager needs to consider the design process and know what constructability knowledge is required for specific design activities. This paper therefore presents a design process management using Dependency Structure Matrix (DSM) that focus on information flows between design activities and constructability knowledge. We expect that the results of this paper will support that design process management become comprehensive management related to every phase of construction project beyond design review or inspection in design phase, and be used as a basis of the integration of design and construction.

  • 현재 국내 터널의 설계와 시공은 대부분 NATM의 원리를 적용하고 있다. 그러나 터널의 설계 접근방법과 시공의 상황을 살펴보면 NATM을 국내 지질에 적용하는 것이 항상 최적이 아니라는 것을 알수 있으며, 국내 터널의 시공에 있어서도 NATM과 다른 개념의 도입과 정확한 이해가 필요하다는 것을 많은 기술자가 느끼고 있다. 따라서 보다 경제적이고 안전한 터널 시공방법의 결정을 위해 NATM의 개념과 다른 터널 설계 및 시공방법으로 노르웨이 터널 시공법(Norwegian Method of Tunnelling, NMT)을 소개하고자 한다.   • Among project delivery methods, Design-Build method is becoming an increasingly preferable alternative to traditional contracting method. The Design-Build delivery method was first introduced in Korea, 1975. But it still has been producing many problems. The previous researches had been suggested several ways to improve the Design-Build project delivery but it seemed to have had no effect whatsoever. This research proposes the success model for Design-Build delivery method through the 4 steps. First, find the proper modeling method. Second, establish the As-Is model for analyzing the circumstances of Design-Build method. Third, to begin with analyzing the As-Is Design-Build model and previous researches, establish the problem model. Finally, find success factors and circumstances through the overseas Design-Build system, and then establish the success Design-Build model.

  • The purpose of this study is to efficiency scheme to design VE through the case studies of construction VE forapartments. The adapted research method includes five case studies of construction VE and analysis of constructionVE practice. The results of this study are as follows 1) For efficiency of design VE, data management system whichis necessary for construction VE database establishment and its application were proposed. 2) Through workingsystem improvement of construction VE, an improvement to design VE performance process was proposed. 3)Consideration factors and main VE items for efficient design VE item selection of apartment buildings wereproposed.

  • The construction of Pusan National University Yangsan Hospital is a new construction of a medical town in Yangsan. It is a case that CMr participated in the project from planning to post-completion. It shows an actual proof of Construction Management business applied CM by each phase. In this case, CMr selected the design-build contractor in the planning phase and technically performed CM businesses in every single phase such as design and construction schedule management regarding application of Fast Track technique, procurement management and contract administration in phases based on the Fast-tract; technique, design review, VE in the design phase, change order management in the construction phase and operating and maintenance in the post-construction phase. This study would go far toward applying CM to Mega Turnkey projects by analyzing the problems of CMr's practical application to the project and providing guidelines for effective and efficient CM business implementation especially in the Turnkey projects.

  • 본 연구에서는 보다 효과적으로 접지저항을 확보하고자 대지저항률의 측정 및 대지구조 분석, 접지시스템 설계, 접지전극 시공, 접지저항 측정 등 일련의 과정을 소개하고 그에 따라 고전압시험용 쉴드룸 접지시스템 설계 및 시공 사례를 나타내었다. 접지시스템 설계 및 시공 결과 프로그램을 이용한 설계치와 실제 시공 후 접지저항값이 거의 일치하는 것을 확인하였고, 쉴드룸에 대한 접지시스템 설계 및 시공 기술 정립을 하였다.
