  • 기후변화 및 지구온난화로 인한 자연재해 규모가 점차 대형화, 다양화되고 있어 이로 인한 피해도 증대되고 있다. 특히, 다양한 시설과 인구밀도가 높은 도심 지역은 집중호우, 태풍, 홍수 등 자연재해에 취약하여 인적·물적 피해 위험성이 매우 높다. 방재 시설확보 및 개선을 통한 더 높은 안정성 및 기상예보를 통한 대응, 대책을 통한 피해 저감이 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 일반적으로 제공되는 단일 수치모형 기반의 결정론적 기상예측정보는 기상 상태, 선행시간, 모형 매개변수 등으로 인한 불확실성이 매우 크며 이에 대한 정보가 제공되지 않다. 이러한 문제점을 보완하기 위해 앙상블 수치모델 정보와 기상레이더 자료 기반의 단기 예측정보가 활용이 가능하다. 그러나, 앙상블 수치모델의 불확실성, 기상레이더 기반 예측정보의 짧은 예측 선행시간으로 인해 수문학적 모형에 입력자료로 활용은 어려운 실점이다. 본 연구에서는 지점 관측자료의 시간적 연속성, 기상레이더 자료의 공간적 연속성, 앙상블 예측정보의 선행시간 정보를 융합하여 기상예측정보에 대한 불확실성 개선 및 선행시간에 따른 정확도를 높일 방법을 제안하였다. 기상청에서 제공하는 앙상블 예측자료인 LENS 자료, 레이더 강수량, ASOS 관측자료 기반으로 분석이 수행되었으며 분석결과는 예측강수량을 활용하는 분야에 긍정적 영향을 미칠 것으로 기대된다.

A Study of Information Searching Behaviors Caused by Time pressure of Researchers (연구자의 시간압박감에 따른 정보탐색행태에 관한 연구)

  • The main purpose of this study is to find the difference of information searching behaviours consist of information pursuit cognition and searching character by time pressure of researchers. The majar findings and result by time pressure of researchers are summarized as follows : In terms of information retrieval systems, according to the time pressure, there is a significant difference in recall, precision and diversity. In terms of main used material, there is a significant difference in a book, a research report, and a Journal. In terms of resource types, there is a significant difference in both record and human resource. Also, in terms of searching behaviours, there is a difference to spend time for information collection and information searching strategy, and to decide information searching method and degree of searching.

  • This paper derives medium access delay of each AC(Access Category) in a stationary station using inter-departure time of IEEE 802.11e WLAN(Wireless LAN). Inter-departure time of IEEE 802.11e WLAN is obtained using saturation throughput of IEEE 802.11e WLAN which was the topic of our prior work. By using a simple queueing model, we evaluate mean queue length and mean delay for each AC on stationary condition. We calculate performance of each AC using this simple model and validate results using simulation.

  • In digital forensics, the creation time, last modified time, and last accessed time of a file or folder are important factors that can indicate events that have affected a computer system. The form of the time information varies with the file system, depending on the user's actions such as copy, transfer, or network transport of files. Specific changes of the time information may be of considerable help in analyzing the user's actions in the computer system. This paper analyzes changes in the time information of files and folders for different operations of the NTFS and attempts to reconstruct the user's actions.

  • 90년대 초반부터 공간정보와 함께 시간정보를 포함하는 시공간 데이터베이스 시스템에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있지만, 대부분의 연구가 시공간 데이터모델에 치중하고 있으며 시공간 질의어에 대한 연구는 최근에 시작되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 시간 정보의 포함 여부에 따라 다양한 형태로 구분되는 시공간 테이블을 효율적으로 관리할 수 있으며, 비 공간정보에 대한 조건과 공간정보에 대한 조건 및 시간정보에 대한 조건으로 구성되는 시공간 질의를 간결하고 효과적으로 표현할 수 있는 시공간 질의어를 설계한다.

Information Block Preprocessing Algorithm(IBPA) for Improving Performances of Sorting Algorithms (정렬 알고리즘의 성능향상을 위한 정보블록 전처리 알고리즘)

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 정렬 알고리즘의 성능을 향상시키기 위하여 정보블록 전처리알고리즘(IBPA)이라는 전처리 알고리즘을 제안한다. IBPA는 정렬된 리스트(list)에 있는 데이터에 관한 정보를 생성하고, 생성된 정보를 이용하여 각 데이터를 재배치하며, 실제적인 정렬은 기존의 정렬 알고리즘을 그대로 이용하여 이루어진다. IBPA의 성능을 측정해본 결과, 2백만개의 랜덤데이터를 정렬한 경우, O(N2)의 평균시간복잡도를 갖는 정렬알고리즘의 0.003%, O(NlogN)의 평균시간복잡도를 갖는 정렬알고리즘의 52%, 그리고 O(N)의 평균시간복잡도를 갖는 정렬알고리즘의 89%정도의 비교회수만으로도 정렬할 수 있음을 보여주었다.

Determining Optimal Aggregation Interval Size for Travel Time Estimation and Forecasting with Statistical Models (통행시간 산정 및 예측을 위한 최적 집계시간간격 결정에 관한 연구)

  • We propose a general solution methodology for identifying the optimal aggregation interval sizes as a function of the traffic dynamics and frequency of observations for four cases : i) link travel time estimation, ii) corridor/route travel time estimation, iii) link travel time forecasting. and iv) corridor/route travel time forecasting. We first develop statistical models which define Mean Square Error (MSE) for four different cases and interpret the models from a traffic flow perspective. The emphasis is on i) the tradeoff between the Precision and bias, 2) the difference between estimation and forecasting, and 3) the implication of the correlation between links on the corridor/route travel time estimation and forecasting, We then demonstrate the Proposed models to the real-world travel time data from Houston, Texas which were collected as Part of the Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) system of the Houston Transtar system. The best aggregation interval sizes for the link travel time estimation and forecasting were different and the function of the traffic dynamics. For the best aggregation interval sizes for the corridor/route travel time estimation and forecasting, the covariance between links had an important effect.

Real-Time Traffic Information Provision Using Individual Probe and Five-Minute Aggregated Data (개별차량 및 5분 집계 프로브 자료를 이용한 실시간 교통정보 제공)

  • Probe-based systems have been gaining popularity in advanced traveler information systems. However, the high possibility of providing inaccurate travel-time information due to the inherent time-lag phenomenon is still an important issue to be resolved. To mitigate the time-lag problem, different prediction techniques have been applied, but the techniques are generally regarded as less effective for travel times with high variability. For this reason, current 5-min aggregated data have been commonly used for real-time travel-time provision on highways with high travel-time fluctuation. However, the 5-min aggregation interval itself can further increase the time-lags in the real-time travel-time information equivalent to 5 minutes. In this study, a new scheme that uses both individual probe and 5-min aggregated travel times is suggested to provide reliable real-time travel-time information. The scheme utilizes individual probe data under congested conditions and 5-min aggregated data under uncongested conditions, respectively. As a result of an evaluation with field data, the proposed scheme showed the best performance, with a maximum reduction in travel-time error of 18%.

Processing Temporal Aggregate Functions using a Time Point Sequence (시점 시퀀스를 이용한 시간지원 집계의 처리)

  • Temporal databases support time-varying events so that conventional aggregate functions are extended to be processed with time for temporal aggregate functions. In the previous approach, it is done repeatedly to find time intervals and is calculated the result of each interval whenever target events are different. This paper proposes a method which processes temporal aggregate function queries using time point sequence. We can make time point sequence storing the start time and the end time of events in temporal databases in advance. It is also needed to update time point sequence due to insertion or deletion of events in temporal databases. Because time point sequence maintains the information of time intervals, it is more efficient than the previous approach when temporal aggregate function queries are continuously requested, which have different target events.

  • This research suggested the traffic signal timing calculation model for signal intersections based on sectional travel time. A detection system that collects sectional travel time data such as Urban Transport Information System(UTIS) is applied. This research developed the model to calculate saturation flow rate and demand volume from travel time information using a deterministic delay model. Moreover, this model could determine the traffic signal timings to minimize a delay based on Webster model using traffic demand volume. In micro simulation analysis using VISSIM and its API ComInterface, it checked the saturation conditions and determined the traffic signal timings to minimize the intersection delay. Recently, sectional vehicle detection systems are being installed in various projects, such as Urban Transportation Information System(UTIS) and Advanced Transportation Management System(ATMS) in Korea. This research has important contribution to apply the traffic information system to traffic signal operation sector.
