XML은 W3C에서 권고안으로 채택됨으로써, 이를 바탕으로한 CDF, RDF, WIDL, WebBroker 등과 같은 많은 웹 어플리케이션들이 개발되고 있다. XML은 HTML과 같은 단일하고 고정적인 문서 구조에서 벗어나서 자신만의 구조를 가지는 문서를 작성할 수 있도록 해준다. 또한 문서의 내용과 그 내용의 표현이 분리되어 있어, 원 문서의 내용을 변화시키지 않고도 여러 가지 형식으로 표현될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 확장된 기능을 가지는 XML 문서를 보다 직관적이고 시각적으로 편집할 수 있는 XML 편집기를 제안한다. 본 시각적 XML을 기반으로 하는 다양한 문서를 편집하는데 범용적으로 사용될 수 있다.

본 논문에서는 실시간 대화 행위에서 대화 메시지 사이의 응답 관계를 시각적으로 표현하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 기존 텍스트 기반 대화 방식과 트리 기반 대화 방식을 결합한 형태로서 대화 메시지의 일반적인 응답 관계뿐만 아니라, 기존 트리 기반 인터페이스에서 지원이 어려운 최근 수신 대화 메시지의 응답 관계를 시각화함으로써 대화자의 상호작용을 용이하게 한다. 이러한 방법은 기존 텍스트 방식의 테이블 구조에 트리 구조를 결함하여 대화에서 응답 관계를 명확히 구분한다. 제안한 방법의 구현은 XML과 DOM을 이용하여 대화 메시지와 대화 시스템을 구현하였으며, 응용 분야는 협업, 원격 교육, 온라인 게임 등이다.

복잡한 제어가 필요한 설비의 운전 정보나 네트워크 연결 상태 또는 웹 문서간의 정보 등을 제한된 컴퓨터 화면에 효과적으로 배치하는 시각화 기법에 관한 논의가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이 경우 한눈에 전체 정보의 계층 구조를 파악하도록 하는 환경을 제공하며, 사용자가 관심 있는 정보에 대해서는 전체 정보 계층 구조를 유지하면서 보다 상세히 그 내용을 보여주는 그래픽 기반의 사용자 인터페이스 판결의 개발이 필요하다. 이에 쌍곡선 기하학(Hyperbolic Geometry)을 기반으로 한 시각화기법으로 새로운 제어 환경을 구현하여 사용자의 편의를 도모하도록 한다.

본 연구는 경관의 미적선호의 정보처리모형을 제시하고 LISREL 방법론을 사용하여 한강경관의 미적선호의 강화에 기여하는 구조적 인자 를 확인함으로써 한강경관의 시각적 질의 개선방안을 제시하는데 그 목 적이 있다. 이를 위해 한강 경관을 대표할 수 있는 전형적이고 시각적으 로 현저한 40개의 경관의 슬라이드를 120명의 피조사자에게 보여주고 미 적평가, 선호, 가독성, 복잡성, 통일성, 신비성을 11등급의 척도를 사용하 여 측정하고 LISREL 분석방법으로 분석하였다. 경관번호 30을 제외하고 모형의 전체적 적합도가 매우 높은 것으로 나타났다. 분석의 결과 경관 에 대한 미적 평가와 선호가 경관의 미적선호를 타당성있게 나타내는 변 수로 확인되었으며, 통일성, 가독성, 신비성의 구조적 변수들이 경관의 시각적 질을 유의하게 강화시키는 인자로 판명되었다. 이 결과를 기초로 하여 한강 경관의 시각적 질을 개선하기 위한 방안을 제시하였다.

While the method of information collection and visual interface technique have been researched actively on web information retrieval, a study on structured modeling for effective classification of a wide collective information leaves to be desired. In this paper, we represent information feature based on structured information model. It aims at carrying out effectively the user's retrieval environment through visualization technique with analyzing the information feature. We propose a information classification method using Facet units and we construct the object model, table model, SQL code to define the relation of the information, and represent the information feature based on a wide range of views. After users gain a better global understanding of the information feature, retrieve more easily through their information. Conventional information retrieval is user-oriented to be what user want, but proposed technique it data-oriented which helps users to understand what exist in database by showing information feature.

최근 새로운 시각과 주제별로 접근한 역사서 출간이 활발하다. 상업발달사, 국경획정연구, 당쟁과 사화, 전쟁과 반란 등 단일한 주제를 깊이 다룬 책들이 한 시대의 역사를 조명하고 있다. 특히 전쟁의 역사를 살핀 책들은 변혁사를 통해 새로운 정치구조에 대한 역학구조를 다뤄 흥미롭다.

Driver's perceived curve radius is different from actual curve radius at curve sections. This is called visual distortion. It has effect on operation speed according to driver's perception and finally bad effect on safety at curve sections. At present, however, there is no research on quantitatively analysis of visual distortion and no criteria for curve section design considering the visual distortion. Therefore, this study focus on finding degree of visual distortion and suggesting design criteria by visual distortion analysis. The process of this study is as below; First, a calculaiton model of perceived curve radius was developed by survey using computer simulation. In this model, a dependent variable is perceived curve radius and an independent variable is geometric factors. Second, degree of visual distortion was calculated from ratio of perceived curve radius to actual curve radius. Finally, design criteria were suggested through influencing factor analysis of visual distortion at curve sections.

With the advance of the Internet and computing technologies, e-learning is now a hot issue worldwide for providing the effective learning on the cyber-space. However, most of existing e-learning contents have been developed mainly based on text, including simple multimedia elements such as images, animations, and voices. This paper suggests a method effective for the computer programming e-learning. The method is based on program visualization using flowcharts. It features the stepwise hierarchical program visualization on the level of statements, the flowchart based visualization for control constructs of languages, visualization over whole programs, visualization compared with source codes, and interaction with users. Finally, we implement a system to realize the suggested method, and execute it for an example program.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the perspective of pre-service chemistry teachers on the learning situations of visually impaired students through scientific inquiry in a darkroom and to propose a teaching and learning method for students with visual impairments. Twenty-one pre-service chemistry teachers from college of education in Gyeongbuk were encouraged to explore individually hands-on model for the molecular structure of ice freely, and had a discussion with a one of the researchers during the activity. All the conversation and discussion were audio-taped and transcribed for analysis. As a result, pre-service chemistry teachers realized that learning situation of the visually impaired students was quite different with their perception while exploring and figuring out hands-on model of the molecular structure of ice in the darkroom. They already learned and could see this model by themselves but also recognized that visually impaired students had inconvenience and difficulty in learning science concepts. Based on these reflections, some pre-service chemistry teachers suggested directions for modification to fit visually impaired students' needs more.

말뭉치를 구성하고 있는 문장들 사이의 관계가 반영된 시각화는 말뭉치 전체의 구조나 유사의미 문장군의 분포 등을 파악하는데 매우 유용하게 활용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는, 유사한 의미를 가지는 문장들은 서로 가까이에 분포하도록 시각화되어야 한다는 제어조건을 사용자가 제공했을 때, 해당 조건이 만족되도록 2차원 공간에 말뭉치의 각 문장을 시각화하는 기법을 소개한다.
