A Study on the Space Planning of Culture Contents Exhibition Hall (Based on case study) (문화콘텐츠 전시관 공간기획에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigated many factors which had to be considered importantly in space planning for the cultural contents exhibition hall on the basis of establishment cases at this time that cultural contents were considered very importantly in the national economy. It must be a priority to set up the concept of the exhibition space which can encompass exhibition spaces, exhibits, the approach to experience exhibitions and others for the effective planning for exhibition spaces showing cultural contents. Visitors' moving lines should be planned based on that concept setting. It is necessary to reflect human attributes that people detect environmental information and perceive the environment through their sensory organs and plan moving lines considering visitors' cognitive, emotional and psychological factors which they can feel according to the temporal order. In addition, this study led visitors to respond exhibits through their five senses and increased the effects that visitors appreciated exhibition spaces, actively getting out of the way that visitors experienced exhibitions, which might be limited to sight. This study will be able to provide specific space planning methods related to the establishment of cultural industry-based professional exhibition halls which have been increased day by day at this time that culture-based industries are considered to be important. Moreover, it will be helpful in reducing the trial and effort factor in the exhibition hall establishment project.

Students' Perception of and Attitude toward Appearance Regulations of High Schools (고등학생들의 학교 외모규제에 대한 지각 및 태도)

  • The appearance regulations of many middle and high schools have received attention as the social concern over infringement of students' human right is heightened. This study aimed at examining students' perception of and attitude toward appearance-related regulations enforced by high schools in Seoul. For this purpose, a survey was conducted with 866 freshmen and sophomore students from six Co-Ed high schools located in Seoul. Students evaluated each of the 50 appearance-related regulations in terms of how strong they perceive the regulation is enforced in their school, how important they believe the regulation is, and finally, how much they actually observe it. The results indicated that regulations related to school uniforms are perceived important, and also were well-observed. Students, however, showed low levels of observance toward some regulations--i.e., regulations of hair styles or garments worn with school uniforms(coats, scarves, or turtlenecks). Students' personal characteristics were also found to influence their perception and observance of the regulations. This study has an implication for teachers and administers. For these regulations to be more effective, it was suggested that schools communicate the importance of appearance-related regulations to students and convince them, or consider revising their policies to reflect students' perspectives.

A Preliminary Survey of Attitude Towards IVF Surrogacy (체외수정을 통한 대리모 출산에 대한 인식 조사)

  • Objectives: The aim of this study was to find out the attitude of Korean women towards IVF surrogacy which is not yet regulated by the law. Methods: We evaluated with a questionnaire, in how far IVF surrogacy was accepted in different groups of Korean women. Total 300 questionnaires were sent out to women who visited our infertility clinic, and to the nurses and office workers of our hospital. Among them, 246 questionnaires were returned, and 211 of them (85.7%) were complete and analyzed. The responders were 58 unmarried women and 153 married women including 60 infertile patients. Results: Only 17 (8.1%) women believed that IVF surrogacy was an acceptable treatment for infertile women without uterus (eg. MRKH or hysterectomized patients), and 125 (59.2%) women chose the adoption. There were no significant differences in response amongst different age group, marital status, or in relation to income level or educational level, or infertility status. A significantly higher level of acceptance was noted only in religious groups, especially in Christians. Most of responders (66.5%) chose unrelated and unknown women as a desirable host, and 28.4% of responders chose the sister or sister-in-law. Conclusions: Overall the different groups were critical towards IVF Surrogacy in Korea, irrespective of the infertile patient group. Despite the established clinical ability to have her own genetic child in women without uterus, this survey reveals that only minority supports the IVF surrogacy. So we need the survey with large, randomized population and then make a regulation about the IVF surrogacy in law.

Development of a Software for Re-Entry Prediction of Space Objects for Space Situational Awareness (우주상황인식을 위한 인공우주물체 추락 예측 소프트웨어 개발)

  • The high-level Space Situational Awareness (SSA) objective is to provide to the users dependable, accurate and timely information in order to support risk management on orbit and during re-entry and support safe and secure operation of space assets and related services. Therefore the risk assessment for the re-entry of space objects should be managed nationally. In this research, the Software for Re-Entry Prediction of space objects (SREP) was developed for national SSA system. In particular, the rate of change of the drag coefficient is estimated through a newly proposed Drag Scale Factor Estimation (DSFE), and is used for high-precision orbit propagator (HPOP) up to an altitude of 100 km to predict the re-entry time and position of the space object. The effectiveness of this re-entry prediction is shown through the re-entry time window and ground track of space objects falling in real events, Grace-1, Grace-2, Tiangong-1, and Chang Zheng-5B Rocket body. As a result, through analysis 12 hours before the final re-entry time, it is shown that the re-entry time window and crash time can be accurately predicted with an error of less than 20 minutes.

A Study on the Aesthetic Motive in e-Card Design (e카드 디자인의 미적 동인에 대한 연구)

  • With increase of internet users, usage frequency of e-mail card is growing up. In addition to advantage of delivering message in real-time, e-mail card contains words, animation and sound. So users can enjoy it's multiple characters. For these reasons, there is a shift in preference from traditional card to e-mail card especially in young age. In character portal sites sewing users with e-mail card it is regarded as useful media for character promotion. After bizarre rabbit 'Mashimaro' wins a great success as Flash animation, Flash card has been treated as an important media in character business. As the study on the aesthetic motive in Flash card, this thesis analyzes what is the meaning existing in characteristic expression of Flash card and proposes that the meaning is related to tension reduction from the viewpoint of entropy principle. We can summarize that contents of animation are based on striving toward simplicity and expressions of animation are based on catabolism. Both lead to pleasure of tension reduction. We can draw conclusion that pleasure of tension reduction becomes one of major factors of the aesthetic motive felt in Flash card.

  • The critical strength of outsourcing system is to enhance the competitive power of the company by applying the centralization of management resources. This strategy has been used in library management and become the general method. The libraries in the U.S. stated to adopt the outsourcing system to organize the information of library works. Those in Korea also commence to use this method later on. The main reason of outsourcing the cataloging and classification works in the library was to reduce the budget; however, result were diverse. The efficiency on performing works was positive while the quality of bibliographic record was not guaranteed. Regardless of various opinions, The National Library of Korea decided to apply the method to cataloging and classification considered as a major work in maintaining library. This study is to analyze and criticize the decision made by The National Library of Korea.

  • In this paper, a neural network architecture which can extract map symbols by being based on the results of physiological and neuropsychological studies on pattern recognition is proposed. This network is composed of multi-layers and synaptic activities of combining layers are implemented by spatial filters which approximate receptive fields of optic nerve cells. In pattern recognition which is followed by color classification for extracting of map symbols from input image, this network is searching for candidatepoints in lower layers (layer 2, 3) by using local features such as lines and end-points and then processing symbols recognition on those points in upper layer(layer 4) by using global features.

  • This study is to examine relationship between immersiveness aspect and the recognition of garners who are exposed to PPL (Product Placement Advertisement) in online game. The frequency of exposure, the placement type of PPL, the perception under the threshold of consciousness and the interest at the product and knowledge about PPL have been widely known as the factors of effectiveness in PPL advertising. In this study, 'immersiveness' is newly introduced to investigate the effectiveness of PPL advertising due to the unique characteristics of game which easily leads to immersion. Control group is exposed to movie clip and experimental group to lacing online game. In conclusion, the deep immersion has reduced the perception level of user on PPL except the variable of PPL placement. This study suggests that how to design the PPL placement in game for enhancing marketing effect is all the more vital, in spite of the result that the player in high immersion cannot distinguish different images.

  • This study analyzed the influences of human personalities and physiognomies on anthropomorphized animal characters and the relationship between the personalities and images of anthropomorphized animal characters and the associated images of real animals when animations expressed the animals. At first, the study classified animals who often appeared in animations, selected the representative characters whose personalities were well expressed, visualized them and rated them with words expressing personalities. Then, it rated personalities which were associated with the name of each animal(word) with words expressing personalities and analyzed the relationship the images and word association. The study results indicates that the similarity of two tests is very high and the images of animals which are perceived by human are anthropomorphized and expressed with familiar images for human. The study suggests expressing appropriate personalities when expressing anthropomorphized animal characters in animations.

As sight and hearing, music & image is constitute of short time and continue for long. Cause to success marketing, understand-translate of humanity emotion. In this paper, Be design of check system that matched music and image by user emotion keyword(irritability, gloom, calmness, joy). Suggested system is definition by 4 stage situations. Then, Using music & image and emotion ontology to retrieval normalized music & image. Also, A sampling of image peculiarity information and similarity measurement is able to get wanted result. At the same time, Matched on one space through pared correspondence analysis and factor analysis for classify image emotion recognition information. Experimentation findings, Suggest system was show 82.4% matching rate about 4 stage emotion condition.
