본 논문에서는 컴퓨터 교육을 위한 자료구조나 알고리즘의 특성을 이해시키기 위한 시각적인 애니메이션을 지원하는 ADVA(Animation on Data Structure and Visualization on Algorithm)의 개발에 사용된 컴포넌트를 제시하고 이의 구조와 기능을 설명한다. 이 컴포넌트는 각 자료 구조와 알고리즘의 시각 표현에서 요구되는 공통된 기능들을 지원하는 객체이다. 이는 재사용성을 증가시켜 ADVA의 제작을 용이하게 하고 표현의 통일성을 높여서 향상된 학습 효과를 얻을 수 있다.

제품에 대한 소비자의 평가는 제품이 나타내는 전반적인 특성에 대하여 이루어지며, 이 과정에서 인간의 오감이 모두 작용한다. 최근 대두되기 시작하고 있는 다감각 디자인은 형태와 색상을 중심으로 한 시각 중심의 디자인에 시각분만 아니라 청각과 후각 등의 감각요소를 추가하려는 시도를 하고 있다. 제품 디자인에 다감각을 활용하기 위해서는 복합적인 감각자극과 인간의 감성 사이의 관계가 명확하게 이해되어야 하며, 복합자극 이전에 시각 이외의 단순 감각자극에 의한 감성 변화에 대한 이해가 선행되어야 한다. 본 연구는 음향자극에 대한 감성변화를 평가하는 것을 목적으로 하였으며, 선별된 30개 음향을 대상으로 6쌍의 감성어휘를 이용하여 평가한 결과, 음향이 피실험자의 감성에 변화를 발생시키는 것을 확인하였다. 감성의 변화는 음향의 물리적 속성 분만 아니라 사용자 자신의 개인적, 사회적, 문화적 요인에 의해 차이를 보였으며, 이 결과는 감성의 개인적 속성을 확인시켜 주었다.

DNN을 사용하여 객체 인식 과정에서 객체를 잘 분류하기 위해서는 시각적 설명성이 요구된다. 시각적 설명성은 object class에 대한 예측을 pixel-wise attribution으로 표현해 예측 근거를 해석하기 위해 제안되었다, Scale-invariant한 특징을 제공하도록 설계된 pyramidal features 기반 backbone 구조는 object detection 및 classification 등에서 널리 쓰이고 있으며, 이러한 특징을 갖는 feature pyramid를 trainable attention mechanism에 적용하고자 할 때 계산량 및 메모리의 복잡도가 증가하는 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 일반적인 FPN에서 객체 인식 성능과 설명성을 높이기 위한 피라미드-주의집중 계층네트워크 (FPN-Attention Layered Network) 방식을 제안하고, 실험적으로 그 특성을 평가하고자 한다. 기존의 FPN만을 사용하였을 때 객체 인식 과정에서 설명성을 향상시키는 방식이 객체 인식에 미치는 정도를 정량적으로 평가하였다. 제안된 모델의 적용을 통해 낮은 computing 오버헤드 수준에서 multi-level feature를 고려한 시각적 설명성을 개선시켜, 결괴적으로 객체 인식 성능을 향상 시킬 수 있음을 실험적으로 확인할 수 있었다.

한글의 신속하고 정확한 정보전달 기능을 유지 발전 시킴과 동시에, 정보 전달의 목적 및 효율성을 높이기 위하여, 인간심리에 직접 영향 미치는 시각적 이미지를 지니는 조형적 문자의 서체 및 기능 개발에 필요한 현행 한글서체들의 시각적 이미지에 대한 분석적 연구를 시도하였다. "한글의 시각적 이미지 다양화에 관한 연구" 에서의 네모틀 고수형의 한글 이미지 연구에 이어 금번에는 컴퓨터에서 지원 사용되는 탈네모꼴의 한글 12종을 제목용과 본문용으로 나누고 각각 그 굵기에 따른 이미지를 표본조사 및 수치분류적 기법에 의한 이미지 특성을 분석하였다. 연구결과, 한글 탈내모꼴 서체는 크게 3개의 그룹으로 구분되며, 전반적으로 그 이미지의 강도에 있어 약한것으로 나타났으며, 각 서체의 제목용및 본문용의 각각의 굵기에 해당하는 이미지가 동일한 것으로 나타나 안정된 이미지를 보유하는 서체로는 스케치체와로 나타났다. 이 같은 한글서체의 이미지 분류 연구는, 한글서체 개발이 수치적 분석에 의하여 방향정립 및 높은 예측성을 지닐 수 있으며, 목적지향적인 폰트개발 및 균형있는 서체운용 체계의 운용에 의하여 극대화될 수 있다.

Formation of optical meaning shown in the picture book screen is the original expression method in that it makes you understand properties or characteristics of subjects more easily and faster adding another images to them, exaggerating or reducing them as well as shows the phenomenon that you try to deliver. In this study, I first prepared the framework of classification on metaphorical expression methods of the picture books' illustration through theoretical study on the optical metaphorical characteristics and expression forms to analyze how the metaphorical expression methods shown in the picture books for children works optically and psychologically to them. Also, I divided the expression form into 2 types to derive optical psychological perceptional response of children through the empirical survey and analyzed linguistic psychological response of children by type utilizing it as the survey materials of in-depth interviews. Finally, I think that the result of this study will help screen production based on personality and creativity of illustrators and, in addition, it will be utilized in studies and tests of the effective expression methods for students who learn illustration.

본 논문에서는 기존의 중간조 처리 방법들의 단점을 개선하고 원영상의 색을 충실히 재현하기 위해 도트 패턴 데이터베이스를 사용한 모델 기반의 중간조처리 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 우수한 화질의 풀력 영상을 얻기 위해 BNM을 기반으로 도트 패턴을 생성한 후 원형 도트 중첩 모델과 하드웨어의 점이득을 적용하여 도트 패턴 데이터베이스를 생성한다. 도트 패턴 데이터베이스는 하나의 밝기값에 도트 패턴각각 하나씩 구성되므로 출력 영상에서 원영상 화소의 색을 충실히 재현할 수 있다. 이 과정에서 인간 시각특성을 적용하여 현재 화소의 색에 대해 국부적으로 인간 시각에 적합한 도트 패턴을 선택한다.

This study began with the question: "what influence would the width of river surface have on visual preference, provided that the environment surrounding the river does not change?" to evaluate the visual preference factors of the river scenery which could vary according to the change of water level. To estimate the minimum flow needed for river sceneries, field survey of Youngsan river was carried out to collect the field data and evaluated the visual preference factors to obtain a most preferred W/B ratio. At Youngsan bridge location, the feeling of open space factors, physical characteristic factors and complexity factors appeared to have significant relations to visual preferences. At Imgok bridge location, complexity factors, aesthetic factors and physical characteristic factors have significance to visual preferences. As a result of multi regression modeling, it was found that physical factors affected visual preferences the most at urban river locations and complexity factors affected the most visual preferences at rural river locations. As a results of this study, the most preferred W/B ratio was estimated as which vary from 0.5 to 0.7 and this results can contribute to the field of river landscape design to maximize the users' satisfaction level.

본 논문에서는 사용자가 언제 어디서든지 컨텐츠에 접근하고 소비 할 수 있는 포괄적인 솔루션을 갖는 시각 미디어의 능동적인 적응 변환 시스템 구현 방안에 대해서 제안한다. 능동적 미디어는 PDA, PC, Mobile phone, HDTV둥과 같은 다양한 기기들과 사용자 특성을 포함하는 다양한 환경에 따라 미디어가 능동적으로 적응변환 할 수 있는 것을 말한다. 본 논문에서는 제안된 능동적 미디어 적응변환 시스템을 평가하기 위해 미디어 양식 변환(Modality Conversion), 시각 정보 적응변환, 그리고 세션정보를 이용한 적응변환과 같은 주요한 특징을 갖는 실험을 수행했다. 실험결과를 통해 이러한 주요한 특징들이 제안된 적응변환 시스템 프레임워크 내에서 잘 수행되는 것을 볼 수 있다. 또한 제안된 시스템은 다른 여러 적응변환 서비스를 위해서도 활용될 수 있다.

It is very important to research drivers' visual behavior. Angle of vision is very important and accounts for more than 90% as the source of driving information. In curve sections, drivers can know the front circumstances and drive more safely and comfortably through facilities guiding their eye movements. Therefore, the standards of installation and effectiveness of these facilities to guide drivers' gaze need to be reconsidered considering characteristics of drivers' eyes The national road no. 34 (Jincheon IC, Buckamri-Yiriangmun section), which is a high-accident-frequency location, is chosen for experimental place. The aim of this study is to understand the process of drivers' visual movement which is drivers' visual behavior and to check the facilities to guide their eyes. Another goal of this study is to improve facilities to guide drivers' eyes on a result basis of considering drivers' visual behavior especially for traffic safety in a high-accident-frequency curve sections.

The appearance of Internet, the 5th medium which has succeeded newspaper, magazine, TV, radio, creates WEB MAGAZINE to overcome the restriction of space and time. This paper has conducted the contents and visual points of view in webmagazine. Through case study, the following and identify for the analysis of the webmagazine contents and visual format. Firstly, communiation at webmagazine is carried out at the user-centered atmosphere. Secondly, Even through an aesthetic is emphasized in the webmagazine, when web designer compose of the web site, it is necessary to find the proper methodology under the basis of users behavior Thirdly, Although webmagazine required the visual form, we should know that the evaluation of webmagazine should be implemented by users. Therefore, webmagazine should be designed by the user-centered layout.
