  • In modern society, developing and utilizing safety service and system environments is a very important and great interest. In particular, the provision of safety services to socially vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, women, the disabled and foreigners has become a social issue. However, since most safety services and systems are applied to the general public, it is necessary to develop systems for socially vulnerable groups. Therefore, in this paper, we developed a system module that processes and transmits data to recognize the situation in real time and respond quickly. To this end, various sensors for real-time situation recognition were designed as integrated modules, and a safety system module was developed to analyze the collected data and transmit the processing results.

  • The aim of this study is to protect workers and pedestrians from accidents at night or bad weather by attaching optical fiber to existing safety clothing that is made only with fluorescent fabrics and retroreflective materials. A safety vest was designed and manufactured by applying optical fiber, and energy-harvesting technology was developed. The safety vest was designed to emit light using the automatic flashing of optical fibers attached to the film, and an energy harvester was manufactured and attached to drive the light emission of the optical fiber more continuously. As a result, first, the vest wearer' body was recognized from a distance through the optical fiber and retroreflection, which helped prevent accidents. Thus, this concept helps in saving lives by preventing accidents during night-time work on the roadside or activities of rescue crew and sports activities, or by quickly finding the point of an accident with a signal that changes the optical fiber light emission. Second, to use the wasted energy, a piezoelectric-element power generation system was developed and the piezoelectric-harvesting device was mounted. Potentially, energy was efficiently produced by activating the effective charging amount of the battery part and charging it auxiliary. In the existing safety vest, detecting the person wearing the vest is almost impossible in the absence of ambient light. However, in this study, the wearer could be found within 100 m by the light emission from the safety vest even with no ambient light. Therefore, in this study, we will help in preventing and reducing accidents by developing smart safety clothing using optical fiber and energy harvester attached to save lives.

  • This study intended to develop a motorcycle safe vest that can be prepared against accidents by mounting a smart module (with built-in sensor) on the safe vest in order to emphasize safety among functional aspects of the motorcycle clothing. The research method investigated professional books, prior research, and Internet data to examine the characteristics of motorcycle wear and the theoretical examination of smart wear, and analyzed the functional characteristics of the design by reviewing smart jacket and vest design cases for motorcycles currently on the market. As a results of study an interface device sensor, which contains a sensor with IMU(Intertial Measurement Unit) and CPU(Central Processing Unit), was inserted into a motorcycle top in order to draw attention to the safety of motorcycle riders. The IMU sensor attached to the vest detected the tilting motion of the rider to either left or right side to obtain data on left or right direction, sudden stop, and so forth and displayed left or right turn signal and sudden stop sign on the backplate (back) through the LED module. As for charging the device to operate LEDs, a generator, which is designed to convert the heat energy in the exhaust into electric energy, was used to efficiently self-produce the power required to operate LEDs of the top while riding.

  • Virtual reality technology was initially developed for entertainment purposes such as games, movies, sports, and theme parks, but gradually expanded to a number of industries such as education, e-commerce, and health care,. Therefore, safety education content incorporating VR is also rising rapidly. However, the program activity on safety education in our country is still insignificant. Although rescue of patients with acute cardiac arrest using defibrillators is one of the most representative safety education, in 2014, defibrillators are rarely used in Korea to save the lives of patients and there are very few cases of using defibrillators. The use of automatic defibrillators and the importance of knowing how to use them for expanding accessibility are necessary. However, it is not easy to provide experience education only after completing the safety education in simple theoretical education. In this paper, we propose a automatic defibrillator training simulation system using virtual reality that can be freelu trained at any time.

A Proposal for Workers to Mandatorily Wear High-visibility Safety Clothing in Korea through the Analysis of the Current Status and Evaluation of Its Visibility (국내 고시인성 안전의복의 착용 현황 분석 및 시인성 평가를 통한 착용 의무화 제안)

  • In roadside workplaces, more attention should be paid to the safety of workers. The roadside workers underestimate the effect of the brightness of their clothes and judge that drivers will recognize them easily, and the drivers misjudge that the roadside workers are far away and that the vehicle can be stopped in sufficient time. Therefore, customized safety education reflecting this and wearing work clothes with certified visibility functions are required. In Korea, it is not compulsory for roadside workers and vehicle guide attendants to wear work clothes with a visibility function. In this study, the distance ahead perceived by drivers was measured using manikins wearing certified and non-certified reflective safety vests. The perception distance of the non-certified reflective safety vest was 1.4 times longer than that of the certified reflective safety vest, thus confirming the importance of wearing a certified reflective safety vest. To prevent roadside workers from suffering traffic accidents, we propose the enactment of a law that makes it mandatory for them to wear high-visibility safety clothing. Specifically, Article 32 of the Enforcement Regulation of the Road Traffic Act should include high-visibility safety clothing in life protection equipment, and additionally, to prevent secondary accidents, we propose the enactment of a law requiring the installation and wearing of certified reflective safety vests in vehicles.

  • A sports center fire in Jecheon that caused 29 deaths and 40 injuries was analyzed based on initial response and management in order to investigate the causes of the casualties. The aspects of initial response included delay of reporting 119, not being guided to the exit for the body scrubber on the $2^{nd}$ floor for escape, opening the fire doors of the exits on the $1^{st}$ floor and $3^{rd}$ floor, not closing the fire door of the main stairs on the $3^{rd}$ floor, and not doing an emergency broadcast. The management aspects included closing the alarm valve of the sprinkler system on the $1^{st}$ floor, starting-stop of the fire pump controller, neglecting leakage of water and electricity between the false ceiling and ceiling in the parking lot, hiding the exit light in the ladies bathroom lounge on the $2^{nd}$ floor and piling up things in the exit, neglecting the button of an automatic door on the $2^{nd}$ floor, conventional fire safety management, insufficient inspection of fire equipment, and not working fire shutters and smoke exhaust windows.

  • 스키는 겨울철에 하는 옥외 스포츠로서, 때로는 -30 .deg. C 정도의 저온이나 강풍이 부는 한냉 환경하에서 행하여지는 경우도 있다. 이러한 한냉환경은 신체기능을 저하시켜서 불쾌감을 증가시키므로 의복의 중요성이 더욱 강조된다. 인간과 환경 사이에 놓여 있는 스키웨어는 그 시대의 세련된 패션성이 요구될 뿐만 아니라 운동기능성, 안전성, 내구성 그리고 쾌적성을 구비하지 않으면 안된다. 따라서 환경이 인체에 미치는 영향이나 인간의 생리적 메커니즘을 인식하므로서 비로서 쾌적한 스키웨어를 만들 수 있는 것이다. 다양한 형태의 삶을 추구하는 현대인들의 관심은 점차 여가 시간의 건전한 활용 및 스포츠에 집중 되고 있다. 이러한 사회적인 경향에 발 맞추어 신소재의 스키웨어의 개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 예컨데 태양 광선을 흡수하는 세라믹 투입의 신소재의 개발과 체내에서 방출하는 열을 가능한 발산하지 않는, 두 가 지 기능을 합한 축열보온 소재의 스키웨어와 또 탁월한 방수. 방풍의 효과와 운동시 발생되는 수분. 열 배출 을 위한 투습의 능력이 있고 보온의 효과가 매우 높은 힐스포(HEALSPO) 코팅 소재를 사용한 스키웨어도 개발 되고 있다. 그리고 보온성과 심리적 만족감을 위한 원피스, 투피스, 쓰리피스 타입의 디자인 개발도 진행되 고 있다. 본 연구에서는 한냉하 운동시의 축열보온 소재 및 힐스포 소재와 같은 특수소재 스키웨어가 인 체에 미치는 영향을 다른 일반 소재와 비교 고찰하고, 스키웨어의 디자인에 대한 보온성의 효과를 검토하기 위하여, 저온환경에서의 피험자의 온열생리학적 반응을 측정하였다.한 신장/근력 팀의 경우보다 높은 에너지 소비량과 심박수를 보였다.찰한 결과, 세포독성 및 염색체 이상을 유발하지 않았다. 또한 동물약품으로 사용되는 치료용량 및 투약방법에 근거하여 10mg/kg 및 5, 2.5mg/kg을 1일 1회씩 4회 투여한 군에서도 암수에 상관없이 전 농도 군에서 염색체이상을 나타내지 않아 유전독성을 나타내지 않음을 관찰하였다. 특히 vitamin C와 E의 병용투여는 상승적으로 적용하여 간세포손상을 더욱 억제시킴을 알 수 있었다.mance and on TFP(Total Factor Productivity) growth which is a pure measure of firm performance.   • When two cars impact each other, it is usually known smaller vehicle's passenger likely to be more seriously injured than bigger one's. Generally it is known that SUVs and Light Truck Vehicles (LTVs) are bigger and heavier than passenger vehicles and their drive height such as bumper rail and side member, and front end stiffness are higher than those of passenger vehicles. Because of these characteristics the occupants of passenger vehicle struck by SUVs or LTVs are more likely to experience severe injury or fatal injury. To evaluate SUV and LTV's aggressivity to passenger vehicle, SUV to passenger vehicle and LTV to passenger vehicle head-on crash test have been carried out. And finally the way how to reduce incompatibility between SUV and LTV and passenger vehicles is suggested.

  • 레저 활동의 범위가 점차 해양으로 이동함에 따라 요트, 카약, 보트 등 수상레저기구운항의 증가는 괄목상대 할 만 한 상황이지만, 항계 내에 위치한 마리나를 기반으로 성장하고 있는 해양레저스포츠는 개항질서법, 수상레저안전법 등에 의해 활동금지 또는 상당한 제약 속에서 음성적이며, 변형적으로 발전되고 있으며 정부기관에서 조차 단순 제재이외의 대안모색에 대한 활동이 미비한 가운데 안전한 해양레포츠 발전을 위해 현 상황에 대한 연구와 관계 법령 검토를 통해 대안을 제시한다.

  • 주5일제의 시행 및 국민소득의 증대, 스포츠 레저 및 여가생활에 관심이 집중되면서 여객선을 이용한 관광이 많이 활성화 되고 있다. 입소문을 통한 홍보 뿐만 아니라 인터넷, 스마트폰등을 통한 정보의 공유 및 대중매체를 통한 홍보로 인하여 구석구석의 명소들이 많이 소개되고 있으며, 이를 위한 여객선 사업이 빠른추세로 증가하고 있다. 이처럼 여객의 수요는 증가하고 있으나 그에 맞는 서비스의 개선, 터미널의 보안시설, 선박 및 접안시설의 노후화 및 수송능력의 부족, 여객선 승무원의 고령화, 급작스런 기상악화시의 대처요령, 여객선사의 안전불감증 등은 많은 문제점을 야기하고 있다. 이 논문에서는 최근 5년간의 우리나라의 여객선 사업의 현황을 분석하고 여객선 사업의 문제점에 관하여 다루어 보도록 하겠다.
