  • The some papers which deal with the dynamic instability for shell-like structures under the step load have been published, but there are few papers which treat the essential phenomenon of the dynamic buckling using the phase plane for investigating occurrence of chaos. In nonlinear dynamics, examining the characteristics of attractor on the phase plane and investigating the dynamic buckling process are very important thing for understanding why unstable phenomena are sensitively originated by various initial conditions. In this study, the direct and the indirect snap-buckling of shallow arches considering geometrical nonlinearity are investigated numerically and compared with the static critical load.

  • This paper proposes a novel analysis method on the driving performance of LIM (linear induction motor) by FEM (finite element method). First, a linear model was converted with a rotation model to perform the dynamic analysis for a long time. Through the FEM model, the slip parameter for the control algorithm could be induced effectively. The LIM for the traction system was performed at a constant V/f in the region of constant torque, and a constant V and variable f in the region of constant power. Several slip characteristic curves according to the voltage and frequency were calculated by FEM in advance. The driving performance was then induced by interpolating the slip characteristic curves according to the load of the vehicle.

  • 산업이 발전할수록 정밀 위치제어 알고리즘에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있으며, 선형 전동기의 보급에 따라 1um 단위의 고급 위치 제어 알고리즘에 대한 중요성이 커지고 있다. 위치제어에 있어서 작업의 신속성 및 정밀도를 높이기 위해서는 제어의 오버슛 현상을 억제할 필요가 있으며, 현장에서 직접 활용이 가능하도록 하려면 보다 간단한 구조의 제어 알고리즘이 요구된다. 위치제어에서 가장 큰 문제는 전동기의 최대 속도 및 최대 전류 제한에 의한 비선형성이 위치의 과도한 오버슛으로 나타난다는 것이며, 기존의 고급 알고리즘에서는 미리 제공되는 S-커브 형태의 위치 명령 패턴을 사용하여 속도 및 전류 제한을 회피하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고급 제어 알고리즘과 동일한 성능을 내면서 복잡한 패턴 생성기를 사용하지 않고도 실제 위치가 오버슛없이 부드러운 S-커브 형태로 목표값에 수렴하는 새로운 형태의 위치제어기를 제안한다. 제안된 제어기는 비교적 간단한 구조로 인하여 헌장 적용력이 매우 뛰어나며, 이득 설정이 간편하다는 장점을 지니고 있다.

Convergence Analysis of Adaptive L-Filter (적응 L-필터의 수렴성 해석)

  • In this paper we analyze the convergence behavior of the recursive least rank (RLR) L-filter. The RLR L-filter is an order statistics filter, filter coefficients of which are the weights according to the order of magnitude of inputs. And RLR L-filter is a non-linear adaptive filter, that uses RLR algorithm for coefficient updating. The RLR algorithm is a non-linear adaptive algorithm based on rank estimates in Robust statistics. The mean and mean-squared convergence behavior of the RLR L-filter is examined with variable step-sizes. The RLR L-filter adapts the median filter type to the heavy-tailed distribution function of impulse noise, and adapts the average filter type to Gaussian noises.

  • A new type of digital phase-locked loop (DPLL) that employs a multilevel quantified timing error detector (TED) is proposed and analyzed under the assumption of negligible quantizing effect and no noise. Since the timing error is quantized uniformly, the TED has a linear characteristic. From the linear characteristic of TED, a first order difference equation describing the behavior of the loop is derived. Using the system equation, the loop is analyzed mathematically for phase step and frequency step input. Desired locking condition for the loop to be locked and the lock range for the DPLL's to achieve exact locking independently of initial conditions are ob-tained. And these analyses are confirmed by timing error plane plots and computer simulation.

  • The Self Tuning Regulator(STR) method which is an approach of adaptive control theory, is ap-plied to design the fully automatic power controller of the nonlinear reactor model. The adaptive control represent a proper approach to design the suboptimal controller for nonlinear, time-varying stochastic systems. The control system is based on a third­order linear model with unknown, time-varying parameters. The updating of the parameter estimates is achieved by the recursive extended least square method with a variable forgetting factor. Based on the estimated parameters, the output (average coolant temperature) is predicted one-step ahead. And then, a weighted one-step ahead controller is designed so that the difference between the output and the desired output is minimized and the variation of the control rod position is small. Also, an integral action is added in order to remove the steady­state error. A nonlinear M plant model was used to simulate the proposed controller of reactor power which covers a wide operating range. From the simulation result, the performances of this controller for ramp input (increase or decrease) are proved to be successful. However, for step input this controller leaves something to be desired.

  • 본 논문은 최대전력점 추종 제어기법의 성능 개선을 위한 독립형 태양광 발전시스템의 하이브리드 기법을 제안한다. 하나의 기법만을 사용하는 경우, 일사량 및 온도 조건에 따라 비선형적 출력특성을 갖는 태양전지의 최대출력점을 효율적으로 추종하기 어렵다. 제안한 방법은 가변 스텝 사이즈를 적용한 Perturb and Observe (P&O) 기법으로 과도상태의 추종성능을 보장하고, Incremental Conductance (InC) 기법으로 정상상태의 자려진동을 감소시켜 출력 전력의 효율을 높일 수 있다. 1.4kW 태양광 발전시스템을 모의하여 수행된 PSIM 시뮬레이션 결과로 제안한 알고리즘의 타당성을 검증하였다.

High Precision Stepping Motor Using Terfenol-D Actuators: Its Performance Test (Terfenol-D 작동기를 이용한 초정밀 스텝모터의 성능평가)

  • High precision step motor using Terfenol-D linear actuators is proposed and its performance is tested. Four Terfenol-D linear actuators are set up perpendicular to the rotor and saw-tooth current signals are applied on the actuators. It was found that the rotation angle is increased as the excitation current, the inertia of the rotor, and the contact force between the rotor and the push device are increased. The rotation angle per step of $0.001^{\circ}$ and blocking torque of 0.2Nm are achieved. The effect of the time delay between the excitation signals is also investigated.

  • In this paper, we deal with the resource constrain scheduling to execute behavior algorithm under resource limit. Expecially, we proposed a scheduling algorithm, called delayed scheduling, which finds the lower bound control step to assign operation under resource limit. We take in account the actual scheduling problems including multicycle operation and functional pipelining. Integer Linear Programing formulations are used to the scheduling problems in order to get optimal scheduling result. Experiment was done on the DFG model of fifth-order digital wave filter, to show it's effectiveness.

  • 2차의 섭동법과 경계요소법에 기초한 시간영역해석법은 불규칙파의 파동장에 있어서 파-구조물의 비선형간섭을 해석할 수 있는 해석법이지만. 파와 구조물의 운동이 정상상태에 도달하기까지 시간스텝으로 계산을 수행하여야 하므로 계산시간이 매우 길어지고, 각 성분파와 그에 의한 운동요소를 평가하는 것이 어렵다. 반면에 주파수영역해석법은 계산시간이 짧고, 각 성분요소들의 변화특성을 쉽게 판단할 수 있지만, 불규칙파동장으로의 적용이 현실적으로 어렵다는 단점을 가진다. 본 연구에서는 잠제 등에 대해서 전개되어 있는 주파수영역해석법을 임의형상의 부체 구조물에 대해 새롭게 수식의 전개를 수행하고, 압축공기주입 부체구조물에 적용하여 실험 및 이론해석결과로부터 그의 타당성을 확인한다. 이 때 압축공기의 거동은 Boyle법칙을 사용하여 평가한다.
