TFT-LCD Defect Blob Detection based on Sequential Defect Detection Method (순차적 결함 검출 방법에 기반한 TFT-LCD 결함 영역 검출)

  • This paper proposes a TFT-LCD defect blob detection algorithm using the sequential defect detection method. First, for every pixel, a defect possibility is determined by the intensity difference and the defect candidates are detected according to the sequential defect detection method. For detected candidate pixels, the defect probability that indicates a potential included in the defect according to the each step. By applying the morphological operation, blobs are comprised of the detected candidates and the defect blobs are detected using the defect possibility of blobs. The validity of the proposed method was demonstrated a simulated image and also then it was tested a real TFT-LCD image. By the experimental results, the proposed method is very effective in TFT-LCD detect detection.

  • 히스토그램을 이용한 장면 전환 검출 기법은 순차적으로 접근하여 모든 프레임의 히스토그램을 구하고 각 히스토그램의 차를 이용하여 장면 전환을 검출한다. 하지만, 장면 전환이 비교적 적게 나타나는 부분에서는 모든 프레임을 비교한다는 것은 비효율적이다. 본 논문에서는 모든 프레임을 순차적으로 비교하지 않고 가중치를 조절하여 장면 전환이 거의 발생하지 않는 경우는 많은 프레임을, 장면 전환이 많은 곳에서는 적은 프레임을 생략하여 히스토그램을 비교하는 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 생략하는 프레임 수를 조절하기 때문에 순차적으로 처리하는 것보다 빠른 처리 시간을 보일 수 있다.

Ridge Feature Extraction of Fingerprint Using Sequential Labeling (순차적 레이블링을 이용한 지문 융선 특징 검출)

  • A novel fingerprint ridge feature extraction using sequential labeling of thinned fingerprint image is proposed, which is invariant to position translation, scaling, and rotation. the proposed algorithm labels ridges of thinned fingerprint image sequentially using vertical line that goes through fingerprint core point. Then, we extract a feature from each labeled ridge and the extraction process is based on the type fo the ridge and a minutiae ridge angle in the ridge. The feature extracted through this process enables us to find out the kind of various minutiae and minutiae angle. As a result of the experiment using two thinned fingerprint images, we finally confirm that proposed algorithm is not related to position translation, scaling, and rotation.

Sequential Defect Detection According to Defect Possibility in TFT-LCD Panel Image (TFT-LCD 패널 영상에서 결함 가능성에 따른 순차적 결함 검출)

  • In TFT-LCD panel images, defects are typically detected by using a large difference in the brightness compared to the background. In this paper, we propose a sequential defect detection algorithm according to defect possibility caused by difference of brightness. By using this method, pixels with high defect probabilities are preferentially detected and defects with a large brightness difference are accurately detected. Also, limited defects with a small brightness difference is detected more reliably, eventually minimizing the degree of over-detection. We have experimentally confirmed that our proposed method showed an excellent detection result for detecting limited defects as well as defects with a large brightness difference.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel detection ordering technique for MIMO signal detection methods based on QR decomposition and successive interference cancellation (SIC). Recently, new signal detection methods for spatially multiplexed (SM) MIMO systems were proposed, where all the constellation points are tried as the first layer symbol, and the remaining layer symbols are estimated via SIC, producing candidate vectors. Finally, the ML metric values are calculated for the candidate vectors, that are again used to select the best symbol vector. It was also shown that the ordering method in the conventional V-BLAST is not suitable to these signal detection methods. In this paper, we propose a novel ordering method, and we show via computer simulations that the proposed ordering method improves the error performance.

  • A design method is proposed for the sequence detection with fixed decision delay with less hardware complexity using the concept of the Voronoi diagram and its dual, the Delaunay tessellation. This detector design is based on the Fixed Delay Tree Search (FDTS) detection. The FDTS is a computationally efficient sequence detection algerian and has been shown to achieve near-optimal performance in the severe Intersymbol Interference (ISI) channels when combined with decision feedback equalization and the appropriate channel coding. In this approach, utilizing the information contained in the Voronoi diagram or equivalently the Delaunay tessellation, the relative location of the detector input sequence in the multi-dimensional Euclidean space is found without any computational redundancy, which leads to a reduced complexity implementation of the detector.

  • 시간적 표본화를 채택한 다중경로방법에 의한 장면전환 검출방법은 전 동영상에 대해 매 프레임마다 순차적으로 검색하는 방법에 비해서 빠르며, 동일한 정확성을 갖고 있다. 그러나, 검출 시간을 최소화하기 위한 적절한 검출 간격을 선택하는 어떠한 기준이나 방법도 제시되지 않았으며 검출 간격을 경험에 의해 선택할 수밖에 없다. 이 논문에서는 장면 전환 검출 시간, 검출 간격과 실제 장면 전환 간격으로부터 검출 시간을 최소화하는 최적 검출 간격을 얻을 수 있음을 보였다. 평균 장면 전환 간격이 알려져 있지 않은 동영상에 대해서 최적 검출 간격을 추정할 수 있는 알고리듬을 제안하였다.

  • In this paper, we introduce a modified interference cancellation scheme for multiuser detection in CDMA. This detector uses successive interference canceller(SIC) and the divided received signal concepts. The active users are splits into two groups large signal power group and small signal power group- throughout ranking, matched filter, decision, regeneration. And each group is subtracted from the received signal respectively to obtain good BER performance. Each of the resulting signal is become respectively SICs input signal The computer simulation and analysis of structure demonstrate that the proposed SIC keeps the SICs BER performance, complexity and reduces SICs delay time.

  • TFT-LCD image includes a defect of various properties. TFT-LCD image have a recognizable defects in the human inspector. On the other hand, it is difficult to detect defects that difference between the background and defect is very low. In this paper, we proposed sequentially detect algorithm from pixels included in the defect region to limited defects. And blob analysis methods using the blob size and gray difference are applied to the defect candidate image. Finally, we detect an accurate defect blob to distinguish the noise. The experimental results show that the proposed method finds the various defects reliably.

  • In this paper, we analyze the error performance of SIC-based signal detection methods in MIMO systems. Considered detection methods are SIC signal detection and LR-SIC signal detection. We derive BLER performance of the methods and the performance is confirmed by computer simulations.
