TDR을 이용한 토양함수량과 토양염도의 측정 -원리 및 적용-

  • 작물의 최대 수확을 위한 관개계획은 작물의 수분장력 스트래스와 삼투스트래스를 최소화 시킬 수 있도록 언제 얼마의 물을 어떤 속도로 공급해 줄 것인가를 결정하는 것이다. 이는 토양, 작물 및 대기의 여러 가지 요소를 측정하여 결정할 수 있다. 관개속도는 주로 토양의 투수계수에 의하여 결정되지만 관개시간과 양은 토양함수량과 경우에 따라서는 토양염도에 의하여 결정된다. Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR)는 한 개의 탐침으로 토양 함수량과 토양염도를 동시에 측정하는 새로운 기법이다. TDR의 측정원리와 상업용 TDR장비에 대하여 자세히 설명하였다. TDR 탐침의 간격, 직경 및 길이의 제한요소를 토양함수량과 전기전도도의 함수로 나타내었다. 토양 columm 및 현장에서의 TDR 전극 삽입과 케이블테스터의 신속한 분리기법과 토양층에 TDR 탐침을 영구히 설치하는 기법에 대하여 자세히 설명하였다.

A Study on the Utilzation of Two Furrow Combine (2조형(條型) Combine의 이용(利用)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • This study was conducted to test the harvesting operation of two kinds of rice varieties such as Milyang #15 and Tong-il with a imported two furrow Japanese combine and was performed to find out the operational accuracy of it, the adaptability of this machine, and the feasibility of supplying this machine to rural area in Korea. The results obtained in this study are summarized as follows; 1. The harvesting test of the Milyang #15 was carried out 5 times from the optimum harvesting operation was good regardless of its maturity. The field grain loss ratio and the rate of unthreshed paddy were all about 1 percent. 2. The field grain loss of Tong-il harvested was increased from 5.13% to 10.34% along its maturity as shown in Fig 1. In considering this, it was needed that the combine mechanism should be improved mechanically for harvesting of Tong-il rice variety. 3. The rate of unthreshed paddy of Tong-il rice variety of which stem was short was average 1.6 percent, because the sample combine used in this study was developed on basisof the long stem variety in Japan, therefore some ears owing to the uneven stem of Tong-il rice could nat reach the teeth of the threshing drum. 4. The cracking rates of brown rice depending mostly upon the revolution speed of the threshing drum(240-350 rpm) in harvesting of Tong-il and Milyang #15 were all below 1 percent, and there was no significance between two varieties. 5. Since the ears of Tong-il rice variety covered with its leaves, a lots of trashes was produced, especially when threshed in raw materials, and the cleaning and the trashout mechanisms were clogged with those trashes very often, and so these two mechanisms were needed for being improved. 6. The sample combine of which track pressure was $0.19kg/cm^2$ could drive on the soft ground of which sinking was even 25cm as shown in Fig 3. But in considering the reaping height adjustment, 5cm sinking may be afford to drive the combine on the irregular sinking level ground without any readjustment of the resaping height. 7. The harvesting expenses per ha. by the sample combine of which annual coverage area is 4.7 ha. under conditions that the yearly workable days is 40, percentage of days being good for harvesting operation is 60%, field efficiency is 56%, working speed is 0.273m/sec, and daily workable hours is 8 hrs is reasonable to spread this combine to rural area in Korea, comparing to the expenses by the conventional harvesting expenses, if mechanical improvement is supplemented so as to harvest Tong-il rice. 8. In order to harvest Tong-il rice, the two furrow combine should be needed some mechanical improvements that divider can control not to touch ears of paddy, the space between the feeding chain and the thrshing drum is reduced, trash treatment apparatus must be improved, fore and rear adjust-interval is enlarged, and width of track must be enlarged so as to drive on the soft ground.

Evaluation for Safety of Tricyclazole (I) (살균제 Tricyclazole에 대한 안전성 평가 (I))

  • Fate of tricyclazole in rice paddy system was studied. The effect on soil microorganism as well as the mutagenicity of the compound was also examined. The residues of tricyclazole in crops and soil with two times application before harvest were 0.37 in unpolished rice, 0.29 in polished rice, 0.14 in rice straw, and 0.15 ppm in paddy soil. With three times of application the residues were increased to 0.46, 0.39, and 0.19 ppm, respectively. Until $2{\sim}3$ weeks after treatment of pesticide the degradation of tricyclazole was progressed comparatively but very slowly afterward and the half life of that was about $140{\sim}180$ days. There was no effect for viable count of soil microorganisms and for mutagenic test by Salmonella and Saccharomyces systems.

Freshness Prolongation 'Tsugaru' Apple by Pressure Cooling (차압예냉처리가 쓰가루사과의 선도유지에 미치는 효과)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of precooling in the prolongation of freshness of Tsugaru apple. Tsugaru apple was precooled to 1$^{\circ}C$ by the pressure cooler and stored at 1$^{\circ}C$ and 25$^{\circ}C$. Precooling time was required about 5 to 6 hours for Tsugaru apple that filled in the plastic container and faster than that in the carton. The respiration rate was decreased with the reduction of the product temperature by precooling. Tsugaru apple could store about 9 days and 35 days at room temperature and 1$^{\circ}C$, respectively.

  • Because combine cylinders account for up to 80 percent of the power requirements to harvest grain, it is important to have a reliable method to predict and analyze power consumption. An equation was derived to meet the prediction needs. The equation contains the variables number of bars on the cylinder, concave clearance, concave length, thickness of the feed material, feed rate, and cylinder speed. Indirectly, cylinder diameter was also considered. The derived equation was verified to be a reliable function for three of the variables and the equation was judged to be a reliable power prediction equation.

  • Monosporascus cannonballus, a soilborne ascomycetes is recently described in Korea that causes root rot/vine decline of cucurbits. The effect of Monosporascus root rot disease on photosynthetic activity and growth was studied on oriental melon plants. At harvest stage, photosynthetic activity of diseased oriental melon plants was lower and stomatal resistance was higher than healthy plants, while xylem exudates were not observed in diseased plants. There was no difference in mineral contents of the leaves and stems between diseased and healthy plants. Leaf area, fresh and dry weights, and fruit weights of the plants were markedly decreased in diseased plants compared to those of healthy plants.

  • This experiment was conducted to possibility for leaf production of wasabi using hydroponics system. When they were grown in aeroponics and soiless culture such as saprolite and Coir, photosynthesis and transpiration rate were high and marketable yield $(leaf\;width\;11{\sim}13cm)$ showed $11.2{\sim}11.7$ of leaf number per plant and $52{\sim}53.8g$ fresh weight. In spring periods, the highest yield was 25.7 of leaf number per plant in nutrient solution of Yamasaki's solution developed in Japan in deep culture during 130 days. It showed be possibility that marketable leaves harvested one leaf every $2{\sim}4$ days though spring and fall culture periods using hydroponics controlled in environmental culture.

열무 중 살충제의 잔류농약 분해 특성 연구

  • 열무의 안전한 생산을 위한 생산단계에서의 각 농약 잔류량 변화 추이와 최종 소비단계에서의 농산물 안전성 평가자료로 활용하기 위하여 실제 시험포장에 열무를 파종한 후 수확 10일 전에 4 종(diazinon, endosulfan, cypermethrin, cyhalothrin)의 살충제를 각 성분별로 안전사용 기준에 따라 기준량 및 배량의 처리구에 직접 살포하여 열무의 포장상태에서의 잔류량 감소(생물학적 반감기) 변화를 조사하였다. 각 농약별로 2 수준 농도의 표준물질을 첨가하여 실험한 결과 평균회수율은 diazinon 98.7∼99.9%, endosulfan 97.6∼98.5%, cypermethrin 98.3∼99.6%, cyhalothrin 98.4∼99.1%이였고, 검출한계는 diazinon 및 cypermethrin은 0.04 mg/kg, endosulfan은 0.012 mg/kg, cyhalothrin은 0.01 mg/kg 이었다. 약제 살포 후 분해속도가 빠른 성분은 diazinon > endosulfan > cypermethrin >cyhalothrin 순이었다. 작물체(열무)내에서 시간의 경과에 따른 잔류량의 변화를 1차 반응으로 표현하여 농약 4종의 살포농도별 생물학적 반감기를 산출한 결과, 기준량 살포의 경우 diazinon 0.9일, endosulfan 2.0일, cypermethrin 2.2일, cyhalothrin 2.5일 그리고 배량 살포의 경우에는 diazinon 1.1일, endosulfan 2.0일, cypermethrin 2.1일, cyhalothrin 2.2일로 나타났다. 안전한 농산물 생산을 위한 열무 중 약제 살포 후 수확일은 잔류허용기준(MRL)을 적용시킬 경우 기준량으로 볼 때 diazinon은 6일 후, endosulfan은 10일 후에 수확하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 나타났으며 합성 피레스로이드계인 cypermethrin과 cyhalothrin은 농약살포 후 2 시간 후에 농약 잔류량이 잔류허용기준 미만으로 나타났다.

Effect of Percolation Rate on Soil Chemical Properties and Rice Growth in Poorly Drained Soil (습답(濕畓)에서의 투수속도조절(透水速度調節)이 화학성분(化學成分) 및 벼생육(生育)에 미치는 영향(影響))

  • With a purpose to obtain basic informaton for improving poorly drained soil, a pot experiment was conducted about the effect of percolation rate on growth and yield of rice under application of wollastonite and rice straw as soil conditioner. The sandy and clayey soils were selected to compare difference in effectiveness of poor drainage. The results were summarized as follows: 1. Increasing or percolation rate increased rice yield in both sandy and clayey soils, but the effectiveness on yield increase was greater in clayey soil than in sandy. 2. Various materials of soil solution produced from the process of soil reduction were high at the early growing stage, but they were gradually decreased at the later growing stage. 3. With increasing percolation rate, the contents of N, $P_2O_5$ and $K_2O$ in rice plant were decreased, but that of $SiO_2$ was increased. 4. The number of roots at harvest was greater with increased extension as infiltration rate was increased.

Effect of Accelerated Storage on the Microstructure and Water Absorption Characteristics of Korean Adzuki Bean (Vigna angularis L.) Cultivar (팥의 가속화 저장에 따른 미세구조 및 수분흡수 특성)

  • This study investigated the microstructure and water absorption characteristics of the Korean adzuki bean (Vigna angularis L.) cultivar under accelerated storage. The germination rate, acid value, redness (a*), and yellowness (b*) values showed no significant differences after three months of storage compared to pre-storage under low temperatures (4℃). However, a statistically significant difference was observed under accelerated high temperatures (45℃). In particular, after storage for three months, the germination rate and acid value were 0% and 33.63 mg KOH/100g, respectively, under accelerated high temperatures. After storage for three months, the holes, hilum damage, and spaces between the seed coat and cotyledon shortened the time and speed of water absorption under accelerated high temperatures compared to that under low temperatures. Conversely, further research is required to investigate the reason for the low rate of parallel water absorption.
