As a result of the verification, the father's affectional attitude and autonomic attitude showed a significant positive effect on the infant's self-efficacy, and the affectional attitude showed a significant positive effect on the infant's peer competence. And it was shown that the infant's self-efficacy has a significant positive effect on their peer competence. On the other hand, the father's maternal was shown to have a positive effect on the infant's peer competence through the mediating of the infant's self-efficacy. The results of this study will be meaningful in that they have derived factors of the father's maternal attitude toward improving peer competence as well as the self-efficacy in terms of infant development.

  • This study was conducted to examine the mediating effects of social anxiety and academic self-efficacy in the relationship between adolescent covert narcissism and school life adaptation. The subjects were 423 middle school and high school students. The results of this study are as follows: First, covert narcissistic personality tendency had a negative correlation with school life adaptation(r=-.51, p<.01). Covert narcissism had significant positive correlation with social anxiety(r=.70, p<.01) but had negative correlation with academic self-efficacy(r=-.39, p<.01). Social anxiety showed a significant negative correlation with school life adaptation(r=-.50, p<.01), academic self-efficacy had a positive correlation with school life adaptation(r=.63, p<.01), and social anxiety had a negative correlation with academic self-efficacy(r=-.51, p<.01). Second, as a result of verifying the mediating effects of social anxiety and academic self-efficacy, academic self-efficacy has mediating effects on the relationship between covert narcissism and school life adaptation(${\beta}=.41$, p<.001), and social anxiety has no mediating effect on school life adaptation(${\beta}=-.05$, p<.001). The results of this study suggest that If adolescents with covert narcissism have difficulties in adapting to school life, increasing academic self-efficacy, especially self-control efficacy and self-confidence, may be helpful to improve adolescents' adaptation to school life.

The subjects of this study were 130 nurses working at a university hospital in C city and collected data using structured questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and multiple regression analysis using spss 25.0. The results showed that the self-efficacy was 3.24 points for the average score, 2.74 points for the job performance, and 3.10 points for the job satisfaction. Self-efficacy, job performance, and job satisfaction were statistically correlated. The factors affecting job satisfaction were self-efficacy (${\beta}=.39$, p<.001), age at 30~34 years (${\beta}=-.27$, p=.001), Operating Room(${\beta}=-.17$, p=.029), Medical ward (${\beta}=-.17$, p=.025) and unmarried (${\beta}=-.20$, p=.012) and the explanatory power of the model was 30.4%. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop a program to improve the job satisfaction considering the self-efficacy, age, working department of hospital nurse.

The study design was a descriptive survey. A total of 255 students were recruited from nursing departments in G-city. Structured questionnaire was self-administrated from June to September, 2019. The collected data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's coefficient and stepwise multiple regression. As results of the study, communication competence 57.3, clinical competence 69.8 and self-efficacy of handover was 33.8. Self-efficacy of handover had significant differences in gender(F=4.60, p<.001), age(F=16.72, p<.001), grade(t=-6.39, p<.001), satisfaction of clinical practice(F=3.68, p=.027), education experience about handover(t=26.44, p<.001), experience of handover(t=4.84, p<.001), fear of handover(F=16.97, p<.001), and handover importance of patient's safety(F=6.42, p=.002). Self-efficacy of handover had significant positive correlations with communication competence(r=.249, p<.001) and clinical competence(r=.426, p<.001). In multiple regression analysis, fear of handover(β=-.294, p<.001), clinical competence(β=.252, p<.001), grade(β=.191, p=.001), experience of handover(β=.185, p<.001), gender(β=.150, p=.003), and education experience about handover(β=.126, p=.017) were significant factors of self-efficacy of handover explaining 40.0%(F=29.26, p<.001) of the variables. In conclusion, to enhance self-efficacy of handover for nursing students, it is necessary to develop educational program for increasing experiences of handover, education experience about handover, and clinical competence.

  • There is an increasing emphasis on science teaching in inclusion education setting, but still few research and practice in science education field including science teacher training course as well. It is well known that teaching efficacy of teacher is an important factor to influence teaching behavior and students' learning, but it is hard to find related studies about self-efficacy on teaching science for the disabled students. In this study pre-service science teachers' self-efficacy on science teaching for the disabled students was investigated and analyzed. For this a questionnaire consisted of 3 sub-scale like learning efficacy scale, teaching efficacy scale, and outcome expectancy scale was enacted to 97 pre-service science teachers. As a result, pre-service science teachers showed relatively low efficacy in teaching but showed positive learning efficacy and outcome expectancy. There was no meaningful difference in distribution of efficacy belief by gender, however the experience of teaching science for the disabled students made difference in outcome expectancy. From this study the implication for science teacher training course was inferred to meet the needs for science education in inclusion setting.

  • Background: The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of self-efficacy promoting pulmonary rehabilitation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods: thirty six patients, with clinically stable COPD were randomly assigned: 18 to a rehabilitation group and another 18 as a control group, The subjects participated in a the self-efficacy promoting pulmonary rehabilitation program for 8 weeks. This program consisted of education, breathing retraining, exercise training, relaxation and counseling. The control group received education only. The outcome variables were self-efficacy, dyspnea, exercise endurance, pulmonary function, and quality of life. Dyspnea was measured using the modified Borg scale. Exercise endurance was measured by the six minute walking distance. The quality of life was measured by the quality of life index for pulmonary disease patients. Results: In the rehabilitation group after performing the self-efficacy promoting pulmonary rehabilitation program, the self-efficacy score, exercise endurance, and quality of life score were higher than the control group (p=0.007, p=0.038, and p=0.039, respectively). and the exertional dyspnea score was significantly lower than controls(p=0.045). However, the dyspnea score and FEV1 were similar after performing the self-efficacy promoting pulmonary rehabilitation program. Conclusion: The self-efficacy promoting pulmonary rehabilitation program is effective to in improve self-efficacy, exertional dyspnea, exercise endurance and quality of life in patients with COPD.

  • This study was conducted to check critical thinking disposition, academic self-efficacy, and self-directed learning ability, and to understand the effect on self-directed learning ability for nursing students. Data were collected from 268 nursing students in the 3rd and 4th grades of two universities. As a result of the study, it was found that there was a significant positive correlation between critical thinking disposition, academic self-efficacy, and self-directed learning ability of nursing students. The factors affecting the self-directed learning ability of nursing students were critical thinking disposition, academic self-efficacy, major satisfaction, and personality disposition, which accounted for 68% of self-directed learning ability. Therefore, in order to improve self-directed learning ability, it will be improved if the critical thinking disposition can be improved through the curriculum, and academic self-efficacy and major satisfaction are increased by applying various teaching and learning methods and programs.
