Strut-Tie Model Approach Associated with 3-Dimensional Grid Elements for Design of Structural Concrete - (II) Validity Evaluation (3차원 격자요소를 활용한 콘크리트 구조부재의 스트럿-타이 모델 설계 방법 - (II) 타당성 평가)

  • In this study, the ultimate strengths of 13 slab-column joints and 51 torsional beams were evaluated to verify the validity of the strut-tie model approach presented in the companion paper. In addition, the design of the bridge pier subjected to multiple load combinations with longitudinal and lateral loads was conducted. The analysis results were compared with those by the provisions of BS 8110, ACI 318, and AASHTO-LRFD. The design results of the bridge pier were also compared with those by the provisions of ACI 318's sectional design method and AASHTO-LRFD's strut-tie model method.

  • In this paper, the academic research on the value chain and the supply chain of offshore business are conducted for the investigation of the offshore business comprehensive configuration. Then, the assembly and ergonomic simulation was conducted for the purpose of advanced validation of offshore project.. With respect to the simulation analysis, the assembly simulation model(w.r.t. drill ship) and the ergonomic simulation model(w.r.t. FPSO) are constructed. Through the assembly simulation of drillship, the production processes could be validated in terms of availability. Also, the problem of topside design of FPSO was found by ergonomic simulation.

  • This paper includes an analysis of face recognition algorithm to design hardware and presents fixed point model in accordance with it. Face recognition algorithm detects the positions of face and eyes to make use of their feature data to detect and verify human faces. It distinguishes a particular user by means of comparing them with registered face features. To implement the face recognition algorithm into hardware, we developed its fixed point model by analyzing face feature parameters, face acquisition data, and feature detection parameters and operation structure.

  • 레이져 플래시법은 고온에서 열물성을 측정하는 수단으로 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 방법으로 알려져 있다. 각종재료의 열전도도를 측정하는 방법들이 많으나 열평형 유지, 고온, 측정시간등의 제약으로 열확산도측정이 간편하고 고온까지 가능하므로 이에 대한 측정법이 일반화되어 있다. 레이져 플레시법은 열확산도를 1초이내 측정가능하고 200$0^{\circ}C$까지 장치구현이 가능하므로 가장 많이 이용되고 있다. 그러나 장치의 검증을 위한 열확산도 표준물질이 필요로 하나 현재 열전도도 기준물질을 이용하여 검증하고 있으나 향후 열확산도 기준물질의 개발이 현재 시급하다. 현재까지 그라파이트를 중심으로한 고열전도도 연구가 진행되고 있으며, 현재 국제기관에 의해 인증된 기준물질이 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 기준물질로서 가능성을 탐색하고자 이용이 가장 많은 금속을 택하였다. 현재 텅스텐 및 몰리브덴이 고온까지 안정적이므로 두가지 재료를 택하여 실험을 수행하였다. 먼저 상온~1000K온도영역에서 열확산도 측정연구를 수행하였다. 측정된 데이터 값은 TPRC값과 비교하여 10%이내의 오차를 보였으며 고온에서 높은 안정성을 나타냄을 확인할 수 있었다. 아울러 계측시스템의 자동화 및 개량화를 통하여 실험과정에서 발생할 수 있는 오차를 줄였다. 열확산도 해석은 대수법(logarithmic법)과 Parker법을 이용하여 분석하였으며, 레이져에너지 및 시료크기에 따른 영향을 고려하여 여러가지 크기의 시편을 가지고 실험하였다.

  • 에너지 관련 자원 가격의 급등으로 전력 생산 비용이 증가하여 세계 여러 나라의 전력 회사들이 재정적인 어려움에 직면하고 있다. 이러한 전력 생산 비용과 판매가격의 왜곡을 해결하기 위한 방법으로 여러 방법이 모색되고 있다. 제안된 여러 방법 중 스마트 미터링 시스템은 에너지 소비자의 에너지 소비 패턴을 변화시키고 자율적인 에너지 절감을 유도하는 효과가 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 세계 여러 나라에서 이 시스템 도입을 검토하고 있으며 우리나라에서도 이 시스템의 보급을 위해 2008년 실효성 검증을 위한 실증 연구 과제를 추진하였다. 본 논문에서는 2008년 수행한 스마트 미터링 시스템 실증 과제에서 개발된 한국형 스마트 미터링 시스템을 소개하고 실증을 통해 에너지 정보 표시 장치의 에너지 절감 효과를 검증한다. 실증 연구는 2008년 12월부터 2009년 2월까지 약 2개월동안 청주와 서울에서 77가구를 대상으로 수행되었다. 본 논문에는 실증을 통해 얻어진 에너지 절감 효과와 참가자들을 대상으로 한 설문 조사의 결과에 대해 소개한다.

  • In recent years, the software vulnerability becomes an important problem to the safety in operating system kernel. Many organizations endeavor to publish patches soon after discovery of vulnerability. In spite of the effort, end-system administrators hesitate to apply the patches to their system. The reasons of hesitation are the reboot disruption and the distrust of patches. To solve this problem we propose a dynamic update system for non-updatable kernel, named DUNK. The DUNK provides: 1) a dynamic update mechanism at function-level granularity to overcome the reboot disruption and 2) a safety verification mechanism to overcome the distrust problem, named MAFIA. In this paper, we describe the design of DUNK and detailed algorithm of MAFIA.

  • Several different approaches and mechanisms are introduced to solve the UAV path planning problem. In this paper, we designed and implemented an agent-based simulation software using the Repast platform and Java Genetic Algorithm Package to examine an evolutionary path planning method by implementing and testing within the Repast environment. The paper demonstrates the life-cycle of an agent-based simulation software engineering project while providing a documentation strategy that allows specifying autonomous, adaptive, and interactive software entities in a Multi-Agent System. The study demonstrates how evolutionary path planning can be introduced to improve cognitive agent capabilities within an agent-based simulation environment.

  • A resonable and economical method which can predict permeability of rock mass in underground is needed to overcome the uncertainty of groundwater behavior. For this par pose, one prediction method of permeability has been studied. The artificial neural networks model using error back propagation algorithm, . one of the teaching techniques, is utilized for this purpose. In order to verify the applicability of this model, in-situ permeability results are simulated. The simulation results show the potentiality of utilizing the neural networks for effective permeability prediction of rock mass.

  • Firing tests have been carried out for a technology demonstration model of 75-tonf-class combustor which is to be used on the liquid rocket engine of a Korean space launch vehicle. Firing tests were done at 50% of the nominal flow rate because of incapability of the test facility and limit of the test bed strength. Through the low pressure firing tests of 75-tonf-class channel cooling thrust chamber, operability and stability at the ignition and combustion phases were confirmed. Additionally it was foreseen that the 75-tonf-class thrust chamber would satisfy the performance requirements.

  • An under-tension system is frequently employed for large-span structures to reduce the deflection and member size. In this study, a microgenetic algorithm was used to find the optimum cross-section of truss structures with an undertension cable under transverse loading. Maximum deflection, allowable stress, and buckling were considered constraints. The proposed approach was verified using a 10-bar truss sample that shows good agreement with the previous results. In the numerical results, minimum-weight design of the under-tension structure was performed for various magnitudes of pretension.
