A Study for the Improvement of the Way to Reform Mathematics Curriculum (수학과 교육과정 개정방식 개선을 위한 연구)

  • This study, in the view of the particulars on mathematics, tried to criticize the way how they have reformed mathematics curriculums, which moreover have been executed without any official investigation of the ways up to the recent curriculum. On the basis of these critics, this study suggested a few desirable ideas about how to reform the mathematics curriculum which were investigated from a mathematics educational standpoint. For this purpose this study was executed as followings : first, there has been reflective investigations about the existing ways of reforming mathematics curriculums ; second, there suggested a new way of reforming the mathematics curriculum which we may consider as the way for the future mathematics curriculum reform.

  • Mathematics can be divided into practical mathematics and logical mathematics. The 'Enlightenment Period' is the period in which our mathematics shifted from practical mathematics to logical mathematics. Considering the change of our school mathematics and mathematics education in the enlightenment period, we reach the following conclusions. First, the contents and forms of mathematics books followed to Western style, but the attitudes adhered to on. Second, making much of results than process, we are afraid of proof. Third, we necessitate the mathematics culture of enjoying itself.

  • 최근에 교육부의 삼불정책 등으로 본고사 유형이 아닌 평가 방법에 대한 연구가 절실하다. 본 연구에서는 특수목적 고등학교 입시에서 수학 구술면접을 시행할 때 효율적인 평가 방안의 하나로 3개의 소문항을 가진 문제해결력 측정에 적합한 수학문제를 선택하는 유형선택방식과 활동지 작성을 통하여 구술면접하는 구술면접 시스템을 소개하며, 이 방안에 대한 설문조사 결과에 대하여 다룬다.

  • In December 2019, new coronavirus (COVID-19) which was started from Wuhan caused a dramatic changes in college mathematics education around the world from the spring semester 2020. All classes in college was switched to online classes at once. As a result, many efforts were made to keep the quality of mathematics education in college. We have discussed the situation that we did experience and discussed a possible changes that future mathematics education and research can face in the post-corona era (after coronavirus, AC era). Finally, we discussed an evaluation method for student activities that can be used in online class evaluation.

  • Piaget는 인류가 지식을 구성해 온 방식과 유사한 방식으로 어린이들도 자신들이 학습해야 할 지식을 학습할 수 있다고 가정한다. Kamii는 이 가정을 확인하고자 하는 열망으로 실험교수법을 이용한 수학수업을 실시하였다. 본 고에서는 Kamii가 얻은 결과 중 곱셈에 대한 결과를 발생론적 인식론 입장에서 논의가 이루어 질 것이다. 이 논의는 어린이들이 구성해 가는 지식이 선대인들이 사용하던 지식과 유사하다는 점과 어린이들이 구성해 가는 지식이 완성된 지식의 형태를 갖출 수 있다는 점을 중심으로 이루어진다. 또한, 그 결과로부터 전통적인 수학 교수법에 변화가 있어야 함을 발생론적 인식론을 적용한 수학 수업의 특징과 비교하면서 시사점을 논의하고자 한다.

A Note on the 'Comparing Objects' Unit as Storytelling in the Elementary School Mathematics Textbooks (초등학교 수학 교과서에 제시된 스토리텔링 방식의 '비교하기' 단원에 대한 교육적 고찰)

  • Storytelling is one of the important features in the elementary school mathematics textbooks of the 2009 revised curriculum. In particular, the whole 'comparing objects' unit in the first grade mathematics textbook is based on storytelling method. In this study, we investigate the contents of the stories and the mathematical activities in the 'comparing objects' unit from both mathematical and character educational viewpoints. Based on our investigations, we analyze educational problems on teaching and learning mathematics as storytelling, suggest reconstructed alternative mathematical activities, and drew their educational implications.

An Analysis of Achievement Standards Statements in the Elementary Mathematics Curriculum of Korea (초등학교 수학과 교육과정 성취기준 진술 방식 분석)

  • In this study, we analyzed whether 2015 revised elementary school mathematics curriculum 's standards statements reflect the direction of 2015 revised curriculum. For the objectivity of analysis, 128 achievement standards statements were analyzed based on content - centered statements, activity - centered statements, and performance - centered statements by Seo Young - jin 's (2013). As a result of the analysis, it can be seen that the 2015 revision elementary mathematics curriculum achievement standards statements do not contain enough information to expand the mathematical competence of students. To complement this, the achievement standards statements should include more elements than 'content + function', and other criteria should be developed to clearly communicate the meaning of the achievement standards statements. And it is necessary to supplement the expression of 'function' in the achievement standards in order to improve the expression of the elementary school mathematics curriculum achievement standards statements.

  • The purpose of this study is to research the meaning of core ideas and to compare the core ideas in mathematics curriculum of each country. I derived that the core ideas were approached and presented in curriculums of South Korea, The United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore as several perspectives; the main domains of mathematics contents which should be taught; the basis of the core principles between of mathematical contents; the focuses for teaching and learning in school mathematics. Finally, I discussed the further research direction on the contents of core ideas and the methods of presenting it to teach meaningfully the core mathematical contents to students who will live in the future.

문제제기 수업이 수학 문제해결력과 창의력에 미치는 효과

  • 본 연구에서 문제제기 수업이 수학학습에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위하여 문제제기 수업과 기존의 교사 주도식 수업방식에서 문제해결력과 수학적 창의력에 대한 효과를 분석하였다. 중학교 3학년 학생을 대상으로 28주 동안 문제제기 수업을 실시하여 수업을 한 후, 문제해결력 검사지와 수학적 창의력 검사지를 평가한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 문제제기 수업을 활용한 수업방식이 기존의 교사 주도식 수업방식에 비해 문제해결력 신장에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 문제제기 수업이 교사 주도식 수업에 비해 수학적 창의력 신장에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 특히 수학적 창의력 하위 요소 중 유창성과 융통성 신장에 효과가 있었다. 따라서 문제해결력 신장과 수학적 창의력 신장을 위해서 학교수업에서 문제제기 수업 활동의 도입을 제언한다.
