Image Matching Method of Digital Surface Model Generation for Built-up Area (건물지역 수치표면모형 자동생성을 위한 영상정합 방법)

  • DSM(Digital Surface Model) is a digital model which represents the surface elevation of a region. DSM is necessary for orthoimage generation, and frequently used in man-made object extraction from aerial photographs nowadays. Image matching technique enables automatic DSM generation. This proposed a image matching method which can be applied to automatic generation of DSM for Built-up Area. The matching method proposed is to find conjugate points and conjugate lines from overlapping aerial images. In detecting conjugate points, the positional relation between possible conjugate point pair as well as correlation of pixel gray value is compared. In detecting conjugate lines, the color attribute of flank region of line, shape of line, positional relation between neighborhood points and lines, and the connection relation between lines are compared. The proposed matching method is assumed to be useful for DSM generation including Built-up Area.

  • To obtain the 3-D coordinates of the urban roads from aerial images, the accurate matching technique in road areas is required. In this paper, we suggest the relational matching method that is performed by comparison of relationships of road pavement markings after they are extracted from aerial images using geometric properties and spatial relationships of the pavement markings. Relational matching requires not only high level description of features but also the solution for inexact matching problems. In addition, it needs a lot of tests for the reliable final result. In this research, we described features as calculating geometric properties of the pavement markings, suggested the solution for inextact matching problems, and performed tests to decide whether the result is acceptable or not, which use the property that road areas are flat. In order to evaluate the accuracy of matching, we made a visual evaluation and compared the result of this technique with those measured by analytical photogrammetry.

  • The purpose of this thesis lies in proving the practicality of photogrammetry and in promoting photogrammetry in earthwork which plays a major role in civil engineering projects. Analysis of accuracy in the determination of ammount of earthework was done by applying interpolation methods in digital terrain model. As a result of analysis of the data acquisition method, in cross-section method produced acceptable accuracy from Simpson's three-eighths rule and prismoidal rule. In results DTM, we have obtained the fact that earthwork calculation accuracy was increased by applying two or more interpolation methods. Therefore, the method by digital terrain model using aerial photograph has proved to be more efficient.

  • This paper aims at three dimensional simulation and quantitative analysis fer city height planning using digital photogrammetry and GIS. Land view has been neglected while the cities in Korea have been developed rapidly and quantitatively It is, however recognized that Land viewscape is an important factor to achieve a high quality of life. Land viewing is shape and subjective, which makes quantitative and objective analysis of urban viewscape not easy. In this study, a spatial database was constructed by aerial color photographing and digital photogrammetry. The analysis of photographic image were performed using 3-D simulation. Numerical and quantitative analysis for the height planning of building was carried out by producing the vertical profiles of existing buildings and terrain at sight lines. As the result of this study, it was found that the hight planning in a city could be made quantitatively and objectively using 3-D viewscape analysis.

Analysis on the Long-Term Shoreline Changes for Beaches Near Bangpo Port Using Aerial Imagery (항공사진을 이용한 방포항 인근 해빈의 장기간 해안선 변화 분석)

  • To analyze tendency of temporal and spatial change of shorelines and to estimate rate of shoreline changes using long-term shoreline change data is very important for the coastal environmental management. In this study, investigation was conducted to estimate the rate of shoreline changes using long-term shoreline change data from the year 1985 to 2009 aerial photographs. In this process aerial triangulation, GPS surveying and digital mapping was done for the estimation of changes. As the results, shorelines of Bangpo and Kkotji Beach retreated at a maximum rate of 0.2 m/yr and 0.8 m/yr, respectively. The shoreline could be changed by various factors. However, it was presumed that coastal erosion has been mainly affected by retaining wall constructed in the late 1990s.

  • The spatial information recently observed by various sensors and platforms has been provided by national portals through the establishment of a database over a number of time periods, with easy access to various types of information. Therefore, it is possible to analyze the changes in the national territory space according to time. This study is intend to analyze forest changes based on a case of some areas in Heongseong and Wonju using the various spatial information observed in many ways, such as aerial photographs, ortho photos, digital topographical maps, DEM and DSM. DSM created by the airborne lidar and the aerial photos was able to analyze forest change areas more effectively than DEM of topographical maps. Also, forest management and analysis could provide basic data for efficient preservation and management of forests using spatial information.

Accuracy Analysis of UAV Data Processing Using DPW (DPW를 이용한 UAV 자료 처리의 정확도 분석)

  • The various studies and applications for UAVS(Unmaned Aerial Vehicle System) have been recently increased as a new technology to create 3D spatial information rapidly and accurately. UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) is economical when comparing with conventional technique, such as satellite and aerial survey, and can quickly obtain high resolution data under 5cm. This paper examined the utilizing possibility to creating 3D spatial information and analysis the compatibility the UAV data obtained by non-metric digital camera with conventional numerical photogrammetric system. The DEM and normal orthophoto is created by exclusive S/W and DPW(Digital Photogrammetry Workstation) then analysis the accuracy of created data. As a result, the accuracy of the created DEM and normal orthophoto, which is obtained by UAV then processed by DPW, is not satisfied;so it is estimated that the compatibility the UAV data with conventional numerical photogrammetric system is low.

  • 유출계수(Runoff Curve Number, CN)란 강수량으로부터 대상유역의 유출량과 우수 잠재능(stormwater potential) 평가에 이용하는 수문학 변수로, 미국 자연자원 보존국(Natural Resources Conservation Service; NRCS)이 제안한 방법이다. 유출계수를 평가하기 위해서는 토지피복, 토양형, 토양 습윤 조건에 대한 정보를 조합하여 분석해야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 미국 North Carolina의 Raleigh와 Cary시를 관통하는 Walnut Creek 유역 서부지역의 토지 피복도를 제작하여, 이 유역의 유출계수를 산정하는 것이다. 이를 위해서, 첫째 위의 불투수면 레이어와 정사항공사진을 기초자료로, ArcGIS와 Feature Analyst를 이용하여 서부 Walnut Creek 유역의 토지피복도를 제작하였다. 둘째, 제작된 토지 피복도와 본 유역의 수문학적 토양 분류체계도(Hydrologic Soil Group Map)를 중첩하여 이 유역의 유출계수도를 제작하였다.

  • 본 연구는 2008년부터 경기도보건환경연구원에서 구축하고 있는 물정보관리시스템 중 GIS를 이용한 폐수배출업소 방류선 검색시스템을 개발하는 것이다. 연구대상지역은 2천만 수도권 주민의 상수원인 팔당호 인근 7개 시 군과 고양, 안양, 오산시 등 10개 시 군을 대상으로 하고 있다. GIS 자료는 1:5,000 수치지형도, 지적도, 고해상도 항공사진, 우수토구 및 토실 위치와 우수/하수의 유하방향이 표시된 하수관망자료를 사용하였으며, 폐수배출업소에 대한 자료는 물정보관리시스템의 환경통합DB를 기초자료로 구축하였다. GIS를 이용하여 시군별 토구/토실에 따른 집수구역을 산정하고 집수구역내 폐수배출업소를 지번단위로 검색할 수 있도록 시스템을 개발하였다. 항공사진을 기본도로 하여 하천수질오염사고 발생시 자치단체 업무담당자가 신속하게 해당지역의 오염사고 예상 폐수배출업소에 대한 정보를 검색하여 응급대책 마련에 도움이 될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • 급속한 도시화와 교통 수요의 증가로 인해 각종 도로 정보가 빠르게 변화하고 있어 이에 대한 정보들의 추출, 수정 또는 보완의 중요성이 커지고 있다. 도로 정보 및 도로 파손 상태 정보를 이용하면 도로를 효율적이고 경제적으로 유자 관리할 수 있고, 수치지도 및 GIS 분석의 입력자료로서 사용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 분당지역의 항공사진을 이용하여 반자동으로 도로를 추출하였다. 항공사진에 탑햇 필터(top-hat filter)를 적용하고 적절한 임계값을 설정하여 후보 개체를 선택하고 모양 유사성을 고려하여 차로분리선만을 선택함으로써 효율적으로 차로분리선을 추출하였다. 추출된 차로분리선을 연결하고 중심선을 구함으로써 도심지역의 도로를 추출할 수 있었다.
