Ports play a crucial role in the complex global supply chain. While many researchers have used social network analysis (SNA) to study active networks, there is a lack of SNA cohesion analysis specifically related to logistics and trade. Therefore, this study aims to identify time-series structural changes in all domestic import and export logistics networks, including regions, ports, and airports, by utilizing techniques such as k-core and community analysis. To carry out this analysis, we rely on data from the Korea Customs Service's Import and Export Logistics Statistical Yearbook spanning from 2004 to 2022. The findings from the k-core and community analysis indicate that the cohesion of the domestic import and export logistics network has continuously strengthened over time. Moreover, it reveals that regions, ports, and airports are becoming more cohesive and homogeneous, with Busan Port emerging as the central hub of a large community. These insights are expected to enhance our understanding of global logistics dynamics and contribute to the development of policies and sustainable import and export logistics processes.

This paper qualitatively describes logistics behaviors of 113 companies located in Daegu-Gyeongbuk by considering various characteristics such as business location, trade volume, cargo types and the possession of company's own warehouse. A logit model is developed to investigate how predictor variables affect these companies' inclination of utilizing Third Party Logistics Provider(3PL). The estimation results of 102 effective data points show that among the four predictors the location of company's HQs (HQADD) and trade volume (TRDTEU) significantly increase company's tendency towards utilizing 3PL while the remaining two variables (BULK, WAREHS) imparting statistically insignificant influence. The results indicate that those companies located outside the region tend to implement a strategy of using more 3PL and also that the larger the trade volume of the company the more 3PL the company uses to improve the efficiency in logistics.

Kimpo international airport logistics complex had been the most busiest airfreight gateway in Korea during last century but, after the grand open of Incheon international airport in 2001, it had lost its major role as a national airfreight hub facilities. However, owing to its locational advantages in Seoul metropolitan area. Kimpo airport logistics park still acts like an urban logistics distribution center in these days. Caused by the KAC's profit oriented policies, the Kimpo airport logistics park's public function as an urban distribution center might be curtailed in the future. Therefore, several laws and ordinances related to national and regional logistics strategies should be modified to prevent it.
