A study on the Upstream and downstream relationships through water balance analysis in the Mangyeong River basin (만경강 유역의 물수지 분석을 통한 상하류 관계 검토)

  • 만경강은 전라북도 북부를 남서쪽으로 흐르는 하천으로 유로연장 80.86km, 유역면적 1,504.35km2에 이르며 유로는 영산강에 이어 6번째, 유역면적은 안성천, 삽교천에 이어 8번째에 해당하는 하천이다. 만경강은 금강, 동진강 등과 함께 호남평야의 중앙을 서쪽으로 흐르며 호남평야에 농업용수를 공급하고, 전주시와 완주군, 김제시에 공업용수를 공급하는 중요한 하천 중 하나이다. 만경강 상류에는 대아저수지, 경천저수지 등 다수의 농업용 저수지가 설치되어 있으며, 농업용수 공급을 위한 다수의 취입보와 양수장이 설치·운용되고 있다. 만경강 중상류에서 위치한 취입보 중 가장 큰 비중을 차지하고 있는 것은 완주군(오성교)관측소와 완주군(용봉교)관측소 사이에 위치한 어우 취입보로 최대 허가량은 약 10m3/s이며, 연간 취수량은 약 1억 4천만톤이다. 어우 취입보에서 취수한 용수는 대간 도수로를 통해 새만금간척지까지 농업용수를 공급한 후 완주군(삼례교)관측소 하류에 위치한 비비정 배수갑문을 통하여 만경강으로 회귀한다. 어우 취입보의 영향으로 인하여 만경강 중상류에 위치한 3개의 관측소(완주군(오성교), 완주군(용봉교), 완주군(하리교))는 비정상적인 상하류 관계가 발생하고 있다. 만경강은 이와 같은 다수의 취입보와 양수장 운영으로 상하류 역전이 발생하고 있으나, 유역 내 물수지 분석을 통해 실제 취수량 등을 고려할 경우 농번기에도 정상적인 상하류 관계가 발생하는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 만경강에 위치한 저수지 3개소(경천저수지, 용담댐, 대아저수지)의 방류량과 고산정수장의 회귀수 자료, 어우 취입보에 설치된 자동유량자료 및 취입보(7개소)의 허가량과 취수량 자료를 확보하여 물수지 분석을 실시하였다. 또한, 만경강 중상류에 위치한 관측소의 2022년 개발된 수위-유량관계곡선식을 활용하여 환산유량을 산정하였으며 물수지 분석을 실시하여 상하류 검토와 누가유출 및 유출률을 검토한 결과 상하류 관계가 비교적 안정적인 것으로 확인되었다.

  • The methods of separation and recovery of rare earth elements in monazite sand have been studied by the ion exchange chromatography. Both of cation and anion exchange resin were used as ion exchange resins and the solutions of EDTA, DTPA, IMDA and Ln-EDTA were used as eluents. The H+, Zn2+, Fe3+, Al3+, Cu2+, and NH4+ forms of cation exchange resin were used as retaining ions. Ln-EDTA solution was loaded on the EDTA form of anion exchange resin and separated. The Ln-EDTA solution was also used as an eluent for a selective separation of one element from the rare earth mixture solution. The size effects of resin column, the elution mechanism for the various elution types and the separation of a large amount of rare earths were studied.

Adsorption Behavior of Monosubstituted-Halophenols by Amberlite XAD Resins (Amberlite XAD 수지에 대한 일치환 할로 페놀들의 흡착거동에 관한 연구)

  • The adsorption mechanisms of phenols on XAD-2 and XAD-7 resins were studied by using the distribution coefficient(log Kd) measured in the optimum adsorption conditions. It was observed that the Langmuir adsorption isotherm, indicating a molecular size-dependent adsorption, was appropriate for characterizing the adsorption behaviors of phenols on XAD-2 and XAD-7 resins. The adsorption energies of phenols on XAD resins were calculated by Lennard-Jones potential equation. In the calculation of the adsorption energy, the molecular radii and dipole moments of the resins and phenols were calculated by their van der Waals volumes and Debye equation, respectively. The stacking factor (F) were determined from the radio of the equilibrium distance to the stacking distance of molecules. In order to explain the adsorption energy calculated from the stacking factor it was compared with the adsorption enthalpy for each of phenols which was experimentally determined by batch adsorption shake method. It was observed that the adsorption enthalpy of phenolate ions on the XAD resins was likely to be more seriously affected by dispersion interaction than by a dipole or a charge interaction.

Solution Algorithm of Unsteady Flow in a Dendritic Channel System (수지형 하천에서의 부정류 흐름의 해석 알고리즘)

  • This paper presents a simultaneous solution algorithm for one-dimensional unsteady flow routing through a dendritic channel system. This simulations solution algorithm is based on the double-sweep method and utilizes separate recursion equations for continuity, momentum and energy equations for each of the individual components of a dendritic channel system. Through separate recursion equations for each of the components. the new algorithm converts a dendritic channel network problem into a single-channel problem. The new algorithm is utilized in conjunction with a linearized unsteady flow model using full dynamic flow equations. The required computer storage for the coefficient matrix of the whole system is reduced significantly from the $2N{\times}2N$ matrix to a $2N{\times}4$ matrix, where N is the number of cross sections used in the computation of flow variables in a dendritic channel system. The algorithm presented in this paper provides an efficient and accurate modeling of unsteady flow events through a dendritic channel system.

조경수에 발생되는 병해-수지가 많이 흘러나오는 푸사리움가지마름병

  • 최근 소나무류에서 많이 발생되고 있는 푸사리움가지마름병은 외국의 경우 pitch canker(수지궤양병)라 불리며, 그 유래는 가지, 순, 노출된 뿌리에 발생한 궤양에서 많은 양의 수지가 흘러나오는데서 이름 지어 졌다. 우리나라에서는 1995년도 도입된 리기다소나무에서 이 병이 발견되었으며, 점차 그 피해가 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 푸사리움가지마름병은 미국의 남동부지역 플로리다에서 1946년에 처음 보고되었으며, 조림지, 종자원 묘포장에서 만성적으로 발생되고 있는 병으로 1976년 이후 이병은 지역적인 질병에서 국가적이고 범세계적인 중요 질병으로 발달하였다.

Treatment of Phenolic Resin Wasterwater by Candida tropicalis PW-51 (Candida tropicalis PW-51을 이용한 페놀수지 폐수의 처리)

  • Phenolic resin wastewater contained 41,000 mglI phenol, 2,800 mg/l fonualdehyde and various chlorinated phenolic compounds. Candida tropicalis PW-51 isolated [rom the natural enVlfooment was able to degrade 1,000 mg/l phenol in the presence of 100 mglI formaldehyde, but it took much time to degrade phenol with the increase of formaldehyde in phenolic resin wastewater. %en the phenolic resin wastewater was diluted to 1/40, the initial concentration of phenolic compounds (phenols) was 882 mglI and degraded to 81 mglI by C tfVpicalis PW-51 in batch culture. In a continuous biological treatment, the phenolic resin wastewater was diluted to 40 (745 mglI), 20 (1,356 mglI), or 10 (2,875 mglI) times. The removal efficiency of phenols in 1/40- and lI20-diluted phenolic resin wastewater was about 92%, but the phenols in 1!1O-diluted wastewater were not degraded. The remained phenols in wastewater were absorbed by a mixture of activated carbon and rice bran (1:1, v:v) in the process of absorption which was connected to the biological treatment. The total removal efficiency of phenols in 1!40~ and l/20-diluted phenolic resin wastewater was 99.9%.

  • Cryptand resins have been synthesized from 1-aza-18-crown-6 macrocyclic ligand attached to styrene (2th petroleum in 4th class hazardous materials) divinylbenzene copolymer with crosslinkage of 1%, 2%, 10%, and 18% by substitution reaction. The synthesis of these resins was confirmed by the content of chlorine, element analysis, surface area (BET), and IR-spectroscopy. The effects of pH, time and crosslinkage on adsorption of metal ion from water fire extinguishing agentby synthetic resin adsorbent were investigated. Metal ions showed a great adsorption over pH 3 and adsorption equilibriumof metal ions was about two hours. The adsorption selectivity determined in water was in the increasing order of sodium ($Na^{1+}$) > zinc ($Zn^{2+}$) > chromium ($Cr^{3+}$) ion. The adsorption was in the order of 1%, 2%, 10%, and 18% crosslinkage resin.
