  • Recently, the demand of landscape lighting for underwater dam is rapidly increased by expansion of hydrophilic space. But it occurred the problems such as weakness of safety and display effect of underwater dam lighting lamp currently in use. Therefore, for solving these problems and improving underwater dam lighting lamp, this paper is focused on safety, energy saving, display flexibility of underwater dam lighting lamp and analyzed the related deriving problems by research on the actual condition. As a result, it presents a developed LED mold type underwater light instead of underwater dam lighting lamp. By the results of this research, it is considered that practical use of underwater dam lighting is very useful in waterside space for dams, water fountain, swimming pool, and etc. Moreover, it can be extended/applied in various ways.

  • The Green Lamp Fixture (GLF) of LED prepared with thin panel structure was investigated for illumination of street lamps and other lighting system uses, which was also very useful to aquaculture and aquafarm lighting uses, or fish luring lights and marine aquanautics of aquamarinautics (aquamarine+aquanautics) uses, etc. In the case of fish luring lights, it was verified that the fish luring of Green Lamp Fixture of LED was very effective for phototaxis movement and ecological community promotion to the micro-living things of organisms and the small fries and fishes, like as 'crowding together'. For the aquaculture lightings, it was also very excellent in waterproof and heat-sink properties, photosynthetic growing of algae and micro-organisms, water-weeds and seaweeds living underwater.

  • By considering the process and elements of the lighting design of bridges and its piers, it is possible to deduce the principle problems under its contraints and to approach it rationally and systematically. The major problem of this study is to analyze the diverse problems of the lighting design process. Through the lighting process of the arches of the Hangang Grand Bridge and its piers, and of the water-flow under the Chamshil Grand Bridge, the methods to accomplish the goal of lighting will be suggested.

  • In general, many marine organisms are attached to the bottom of a ship in operation or a ship in construction. Due to this phenomenon, the roughness of the ship surface increases, resulting in loss of ship speed, resulting in economic losses and environmental pollution. This study acquires / utilizes camera images attached to ship's bottom and underwater drones to check the condition of bottom. The acquired image will determine the roughness according to marine life by the administrator's visual confirmation. Therefore, by applying a filter algorithm to correct the image to the original image can help in the correct determination of whether or not attached to marine life. Various correction filters are required for the underwater image correction algorithm, and the lighting suitable for the dark underwater environment has a great influence on the judgment. The results of the research test according to the calibration algorithm and the roughness of each algorithm are considered to be applicable to many fields.

  • 본 논문은 오염된 수질처리에 사용되는 UV램프의 특성을 실험을 통해 데이터로 분석하였다. 실험은 기중 및 수중 측정을 위해 아크릴 박스를 제작하였고, IL1400A의 광출력 측정기기를 사용하여 광출력을 측정하였다. 또한 연속적인 측정을 위해 Lab View를 사용하여 직접 컴퓨터로 데이터를 수집하였으며, 기중 및 수중에서 광출력을 높이기 위해 주파수를 변환시켜 성능을 확인하였다. 그 결과 광출력은 기중 및 수중에서 모두 32[kHz]에서 가장 높았다.

  • This research emphasis the commercialize and experiment in the quality of water treatment by making water treatment reactor. The hybrid water plasma torch used this research is excellent in tans of economical efficiency because of using existent neon transformer. Further more, It has excellent energy efficiency because it is manufactured by low electric power. Especially hybrid water plasma torch used this research has two filed of water plasma and inputs each strong point into the water. Following The data such as dissolved ozone(2.8[ppm]), hydrogen peroxide(100[ppm]), 2[PH], are very affordable data and immensely useful in sterilization. Those data have excellent result: perfect eradication of a colon bacillus within maximum 10 minute applying to sterilization processing of a colon bacillus.

  • Communication underwater is severely limited when compared to communications in air because water is essentially opaque to electromagnetic radiation except in visible range. Acoustic systems are capable of long range communication, but offer limited data rates and significant latency due to the speed of sound in water. On the other hand, optical wireless communication has been proposed as one of the best alternatives to meet the requirements of the underwater observation and subsea monitoring systems. It will help In this study, we are developing an underwater optical communication system that integrates with a depot ship floating on the water. An interface between LED lighting communication system and Bluetooth module is presented to support the underwater-to-air communications. Error free image and text transmission at 3 m of water were achieved at bit rates of 230.4 kbps. This development effort will enhance infrastructure to efficiently interconnect between underwater wireless systems and command ship networks for underwater monitoring.

PHOTOTAXIS OF FILEFISH, CONGER EEL AND CRUCIAN CARP (어류의 주광성에 관한 연구 -쥐치, 붕장어, 붕어-)

  • The purpose of the present study is to find the light intensity which induces maximum gathering rate and to observe the variation of the gathering rate both in daytime and at night by using three species of commercial fishes: filefish, Stephanolepis cirrhifer (Temminck et Schlegel), conger eel, Astroconger myriaster (Brevoort) and crucian carp, Carassius oarassius (Linnaeus). An experimental tank $(360L\times50W\times55Hcm)$ was set up in a dark room. An illumination system was attached to one end of the tank to control horizontal, light intensity. Six artificial light sources were prepared by combination of two light bulbs (5W, 150W) and seven filters. During the experiment water depth was maintained 50 cm level in the tank. The tank was marked into six longitudinal sections each being 60 cm long to observe the distribution of fish. The fish were acclimatized in dark condition for 40 minutes prior to the main experiment. Upon turning on the light, the number of fish .in each section was counted 40 times every 30 seconds, and the gathering rates were obtain from the average number of fish in each section. In filefish the light intensity inducing maximum gathering rate was 0.7 lx(0.5-1.1 lx), and there nab little difference between day and night. Gathering rate varied propotionally to the length of illumination time. In conger eel the light intensities inducing maximum gathering rate were 1.9 lx(1.2-2.9 lx) in daytime and 5.2 lx (3.2-7.7 lx) at night. Thus, there was a considerable difference between day and night, but the gathering rate remained almost unchanged regardless to the length of illumination time. In crucian carp gathering rate did not show a definite pattern hut fluctuated irregularly. The gathering rate, however, was slightly higher at 16.21 lx, and there was little difference between day and night.
