The Effect of the Cultural Competence in Multicultural Nursing Education by Action Learning (액션러닝 기반의 다문화 간호교육이 문화적 역량 증진에 미치는 효과)

  • This research aims is to confirm the effects of cultural competence of an action learning based teaching method in multicultural nursing education. Cultural competence was composed of cultural knowledge, cultural awareness and cultural acceptance. A total of 118 college students were enrolled in this study. Both before and after learning, the students were guided to fill out a questionnaire regarding culture competence. The students from each group studied multicultural nursing by different teaching types: the Traditional Lecture-based Teaching method (TLT) and Action Learning based Teaching method (ALT). Data analysis was carried out by SPSS 21.0. A pre-post comparison within the group was performed using a paired t-test and the comparison between groups was performed using ANCOVA. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the culture competence in both teaching methods. In addition, ALT showed higher cultural acceptance results than TLT; however, there was no difference in cultural knowledge and cultural awareness between the two groups Therefore, ALT should be considered as a teaching method to enhance cultural competence in multicultural nursing education for Nursing students. Further studies on instructional design according to the task types, nursing performance, and the validity of ALT will be needed.

A Learning Satisfaction in face-to-face/non-face-to-face Educational Environments of New Dental Hygiene Students (대면/비대면 교육환경에서의 학습만족도(일부 치위생과 신입생을 대상으로))

  • The purpose of this study was on the learning satisfaction of dental hygiene students according to the face-to-face and non-face-to-face teaching methods in the COVID-19 educational environment. A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 122 dental hygiene students of G University located in Gwangju from October to November, 2020. The general characteristics, instructional characteristics, teaching methods, and learning satisfaction were investigated, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0. The effective practical teaching method chosen by the students was face-to-face, and there was a significant difference according to the class choice. The learning satisfaction according to the general characteristics showed a significant difference in the preferred practice method for improving instrument technique. The face-to-face classes showed significantly higher learning satisfaction in terms of checking on doing well study during class and the convenience. In addition, as a result of analyzing the factors influencing learning satisfaction, the choice of face-to-face class was confirmed as a significant variable. Therefore, in order to increase the learning satisfaction of students, it is necessary to design a class that essentially includes face-to-face class when planning a practice class.

  • 본 연구는 대학교육에서 학습자 주도수업에 대표적으로 활용되는 PBL-교수학습방법을 SNS기반 온라인 플랫폼에서의 과제수행을 통해 해결하는 PBL-수업모형을 개발하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 선행연구 및 이론탐색을 통해 PBL-수업설계에 대한 선행연구를 고찰하고, 적용 가능한 수업모형 및 교육내용을 선정하여 기초내용을 구성한 후 3인의 교육공학 전문가와 5인의 대학교수를 대상으로 FGI 인터뷰 방법을 통하여 연구결과를 도출한다. 과거 PBL-교수학습방법을 적용한 수업설계 들이 모의수행이나 발표 후 토론에 한정되었던 것에 반해 본 연구에서는 SNS기반 온라인 플랫폼에 직접 적용하는 매체제작 및 커뮤니티 활동을 포함하는 수업활동이 도출 되었으며, 실행 가능한 수업모형 개발을 위해 대상자 인터뷰와 분석을 통해 이를 위한 교수학습방법을 설정할 것이다. 본 연구를 통해 제시될 SNS기반 온라인 플랫폼을 활용한 PBL-학습모형은 이후 고등교육기관의 교수학습모형 개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 것이다

Analysis of Teaching and Learning strategies in Basic Engineering Courses (공학 기초설계 교과목에서 교수-학습 방법에 따른 수업 결과 분석)

  • This study analyzes results of current Basic Design Engineering teaching and learning methods and makes suggestions based on its findings. To reach these conclusions, participants were 112 second-year students in Basic Design Engineering courses. In the results of t-test, there were significant statistics in learners' satisfaction, achievement of course outcomes and grades. Also the average of factors of the problem based learning strategy is higher than those of the project based strategy. Based on this study's findings, recommendations for effective teaching and learning strategies are made for Basic Design Engineering courses.

  • 실업계 고등학교출신, 직장을 다니다 뒤늦게 진학한 학생, 수학성적 때문에 야간학과를 택한 학생들의 수학학습능력이 대학수학을 공부하기에는 부족함을 그들의 의견과 기초학습능력 검사와 수업을 통해 확인해보고 그들을 위한 수업지도 방법과 심리적 치료법을 곁들여 좋은 수업환경을 만들고 수업에 대한 반응으로부터 그들만을 위한 방법을 개발하고 수준에 맞는 교재를 만들어 ‘99학년도 2학기부터 시행에 본다음 종합적인 분석을 하여 계속된 현장연구 결과와 함께 학습부진 학생을 위한 대학수학 수업모델을 만든다.

Development and Validation of Distributed Cognition Theory Based Instructional Strategy in Science Class Using Technology (테크놀로지 활용 과학 수업에서 분산인지 이론 기반 수업 전략의 개발 및 타당화)

  • This study is a design and development study that developed instructional strategies based on distributed cognitive theory for science classes using technology according to procedures that ensured reliability and validity. To develop instructional strategies, development study and validation study were conducted according to design and development research methodology procedures. In the development study, an initial instructional strategy was developed through prior literature review and prior expert review. In the validation study, the instructional strategy was validated using internal validation (expert validation, usability evaluation) and external validation (field application evaluation) methods, and the final instructional strategy was developed. The final instructional strategy consisted of 3 instructional principles, 9 instructional strategies, and 38 detailed guidelines. Through this study, the researcher suggested the suitability of instructional strategies for science classes using technology, the usefulness of blocks and teaching and learning processes, the possibility of using technology as a cognitive tool, the need for teachers' efforts to cultivate teaching capabilities using technology, and the needs lesson plan that takes into account conditions affecting the application of instructional strategies.

  • From the past to the present, general mathematics classes have pursued changes in the educational environment. However, due to the actual college education conditions, general lecture classes are taking place. In this study, we wanted to find teaching and learning methods that would help students in general lecture classes. As a result, one group that took notes about class content and provided feedback on individual tasks was more effective in math achievement than the group that provided feedback on the same task. In addition, one group who took notes on class content and provided feedback on individual assignments was more effective in math achievement than the group who took notes on class content and provided feedback on the same task.

  • COVID-19로 인한 외부환경요인의 변화는 2020학년도 1학기부터 대학교육시스템에 큰 변화를 일으켰다. 초기에는 비대면으로 변화된 수업 환경에서 필요한 수업 방법으로 전환하는 데 급급하였다면 비대면 상황이 지속되면서 대면 학습의 실재감을 제공하고 학습효과를 높이는 구체적인 요인 파악과 수업 적용이 필요하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 비대면으로 이루어지는 컴퓨터공학 분야의 대표적인 실습기반 교과목인 프로그래밍 수업에서 대면 수업의 실재감을 제공하기 위해 강의동영상 수업과 실시간 수업을 활용하여 수업주제 맞춤형 비대면 혼합형 수업 방법을 적용한 후 설문 조사를 통해 혼합형 수업에서 학습자의 참여수준(태도)가 대면수업 수준의 실재감에 미치는 영향을 조사·분석하였다. 이를 통해 비대면 수업에서는 비대면 환경에서 학습자의 상호작용을 위한 수업 참여 수준(태도)가 대면 수준으로 학습효과를 높이는데 가장 큰 영향을 미친 것으로 조사·분석하였다.

Two Middle School Science Teachers' Experiences of Teaching Science in the Republic of Korea: A Phenomenological Analysis (두명의 한국 중학교 과학 교사들의 과학 수업 경험에 대한 현상학적 분석)

  • This study investigated how the unique educational contexts in the Republic of Korea (RK) impacted two science teachers' teaching practices in a public middle school and what the science teaching experience means to them. In particular, we explored how the middle school science teachers decide pedagogical approaches to use in their teaching based on classroom climate, students' attitude toward learning science, school curriculum and classroom culture. Using a phenomenological research approach, we analyzed classroom observation data and interview data to interpret the teachers' science teaching experience. Results of the study showed that the teachers' practice was dominantly affected by two external factors. First, the teachers' teaching practice was affected by the amount of science content knowledge they need to cover within a given class time. Second, the teachers' teaching practice was affected by students' attitudes toward science learning and their science preparedness in private tutoring centers. Implications of the study results are discussed in the paper.

  • The purpose of this study is to present various examples of collaborative learning based on the Instruction of Internet in the 6th grade elementary school mathematics class. So we introduce the design method of classroom environment for classroom Internet and give example of various teaching methods. This study was conducted for nine months from March to November, 2016, one sixth grade of elementary school in D area. During this period, we conducted Instruction of Internet-based collaborative learning to classify typical teaching cases. We classified into 5 type collaborative learning. First, collaborative learning in the classroom. Second, remote collaborative learning between classroom and classroom. Third, Live participation classes. Forth, project collaborative learning. Fifth, using virtual reality in collaborative learning. In addition, we could identify that there is a difference compared to the conventional learning. It became possible to conduct collaborative learning with other students simultaneously or have opening class with both parents and teachers by using Youtube. These examples can be presented as a case to depart from traditional mathematics class in one classroom. In this regard, we will be able to provide several implications about teaching methods utilizing smart device and Internet in future classroom.
