Calculation of Effective Receiving Electric Field Level using the Measurement Analysis from Actual Domestic DTV Environment (국내 디지털 TV방송 환경 측정결과 분석을 통한 효과적인 수신전계강도 산출)

  • Preparing the conversion to the digital broadcasting system, we are deciding broadcasting network plan and interference protection area, using the measured receiving electric field level from the digital broadcasting station. However, the essential researches are needed about a receiving electric field level, because a digital TV (DTV) broadcasting receiver has been improved and an actual receiving environment should be considered. In this paper, the measured data were classified with domestic terrain of line of sight (LOS) and those of non-LOS, and effective receiving electric field level was proposed based on the LOS data. It is known that receiving electric field-level of 48 ㏈uV/m or more should be required for receiving rate of 90% and 50 ㏈uV/m for that of 95%, on the basis of the information of domestic terrain LOS.

  • ATSC DTV시스템에서는 심볼타이밍 동기를 위해서 ATSC규격에 소개되어있는 $77.3{mu}s$ 마다 반복적으로 삽입되어있는 세그먼트 싱크를 이용하는 세그먼트 동기 방법 또는 QAM과 같은 다중레벨을 가지는 신호에 일반적으로 사용되는 가드너(Gardner)방법을 사용한다. 이중 가드너 방법은 매심볼마다 타이밍 에러성분을 추출하므로 다중경로 채널에서 타이밍동기를 추적하면서 유지하는데 유리한 방식이어서 일반적으로 사용한다. 가드너 방법을 이용하는 ATSC DTV시스템에서 가드너 방법에 에러를 검출하기 위해 사용되는 가드너 타이밍 에러 검출기(Timing Error Detector)는 수신단의 파워레벨이 기준 파워레벨에서 크게 벗어날 경우 에러를 검출 할 수 없는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이를 해결 하기 위해 가드너 타이밍 에러 검출기 블록 앞에 송신파워 레벨과 수신파워 레벨의 비를 이용하여 정상적인 수신 파워 레벨로 수신학 수 있도록 보정하는 블록을 추가하여 전체적인 동기성능을 향상시키는 알고리즘을 제안한다.

Linkbudget Analysis of Palau Tracking Station Using Antenna Gain of Launch Vehicle (발사체 안테나 이득패턴을 이용한 팔라우추적소 링크버짓 분석)

  • In this paper, we analyzed linkbudget with comparing actual received level of telemetry system at Palau Tracking Station. Because Palau Tracking Station participated in the launch mission for the first time and lack of verification tests for antenna tracking and signal reception performance, we analyzed the linkbudget more accurately by predicting transmit antenna polarization gain according to the trajectory and attitude of launch vehicle. The analysis results were used to analyze signal reception range, antenna operation angle and LHCP/RHCP received level. The actual received level of the antenna was similar to the linkbudget result as a result of the launch mission operation.

  • 충격 잡음은 전력선 통신 시스템의 성능을 열하시키는 대표적인 채널 특성 중 하나이다. 이는 배경잡음에 비해 많게는 수십 dB 이상의 레벨을 가지며, 임의 시간적으로 발생하기 때문에 추정 및 제어가 어렵다. 최근 전력선 통신 시스템이 고속화 되면서 한정된 주파수 대역상에서 한정된 신호 전력으로 대용량의 데이터를 전송하기 위해서 대역효율을 높이기 위한 변복조 기법과 오류정정 코드가 적용되고 있으나, 충격 잡음에 의해서 그 성능이 현저하게 열하된다. 일반적으로 충격잡음은 수신단에서 레벨 제한에 의해 그 영향 정도를 줄일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 전력선 통신 시스템의 성능 향상을 위해 제안되고 있는 LDPC 부호화 OFDM 시스템에 대해 충격 잡음 수신 레벨 제한에 의한 성능 열하의 완화 정도에 대해 연구하였으며, 시뮬레이션을 통해 최적 성능을 위한 수신 레벨 제한 지표를 제시하였다.

Measurement of Vertical-Directional DTV Signal Level Using a Multi-Copter (멀티콥터를 이용한 수직방향 DTV 신호 레벨 측정)

  • DTV field tests have been performed to measure field strength and to check reception ratio on indoor and outdoor sites. They use an antenna of 9m to measure DTV signal in case of outdoor measurement on the road. Modern skyscrapers require the analysis of vertical-directional wave propagation by measuring vertical-directional DTV signal. Even if the field strength is above the reception threshold of $43dB{\mu}V/m$, the reception is impossible in case of strong multi-path or high impulse noise. So, vertical-directional field measurement is essential in environment of tall buildings. In this paper, we developed an octo type multi-copter to measure vertical-directional DTV signal level. A compact and portable DTV signal level meter, an antenna, a microwave transmitter for data transmission, and a recording equipment are equipped in the multi-copter. Three different sites are selected to test the measurement system. Developed measurement system using the multi-copter is very useful in measuring vertical-directional DTV signal, especially in apartments, non-accessible area by vehicles, and forbidden areas.

  • 본 논문에서는 시분할 방식에 의한 전이중 통신방식을 사용할 경우 통신속도에 대한 단점을 극복하기 위해 통신신호 레벨에 의한 완전한 전이중 통신방식 구현이 가능한 새로운 통신용 하드웨어 장비를 제안한다. 제안된 통신하드웨어는 2선 방식 통신으로 통신하는 두 장비에서 동일 통신선에 발신신호를 인가함과 동시에 수신 신호를 검출할 수 있는 방식으로 동 시간에 발신과 수신이 가능한 구조이다.

  • In this paper, we have estimated by means of the theoretical analysis and the simulation of FCA(Fixed Channel Assignment) and CB(Channel Borrowing) in order to consider the CB as a technique to meet ducting interference from adjacent countries. Also, we assumed that the receiving power level of ducting interference with time rate can be characterized by the normal distribution due to the previous measured results, and the ducting interferences which are exceeding the reference power level can be regarded as calls. These calls can be processed by CR assignment and by which sharing channels between cells brings to us the method of meeting the ducting interference to use spectrum resources effectively. However, the spectrum frequency reusing and the interference effects between channels should be considered in CB simulation in the future.

  • In this Paper, It is analysed 5 GHz frequency characteristics that carry out interference experimental under the indoor environments for understanding propagation interference between existing 5 GHz band wireless communication system and 5 GHz band wireless LAN system. The interference signal which was generated by signal generator injected to 5 GHz Wireless LAN communication system measured interference characteristics and This radio propagation main interference factors were classified received power level separation by interference source frequency and interference source frequency pulse period & width separation. It is measured transmission rate according to variable data and packet size for conforming the quality of 5 GHz band wireless LAN system. We measured the packet data loss rate and power level of received signal and analyzed its frequency characteristics effected by interference signal.

  • This paper proposes an efficient system level simulation method for MIMO-OFDM based system in the multi-cell environment. The proposed method analyzes effects of the cell structure, radio channel characteristics and user mobility. The user mobility effect on the system level performance is considered in both channel gain and distance. The receiver SINR calculation procedure is presented in the system which adopts MIMO-OFDM scheme under various system environments. This method can be flexibly extensible to various system environments and provides computationally efficient system level simulation technique which utilizes link level performance analysis. Extensive computer simulations results are presented to obtain the system performance in the various mobile cellular channels using the proposed method. Also this results are analyzed based on the packet error rate for different distances between the base station located in the center of the cell and the mobile user.
