The single photo method has a lot of applications in forestry, traffic accident managements, industry, criminal investigation, and in daily life. In this study a new single photo method was developed by classifying into the Space resection method and the 2 Dimensional Perspective Transformation method. Metric and nonmetric cameras were used to analyse the accuracy by means of single photo method, and the errors in coordinates and lengths were studied by changing the number and arrangement of control points to obtain the optimum condition for the single photo method. The influence of number and arrangement of control points on the accuracy was relatively small in case of the Metric WILD P31 and ASAHI PENTAX 6$\times$7 cameras, where as for errors it was a major factor in the Non-metric Nikon FM2. To overcome these defects, at least 6 control points should be used for the errors to be convergent and they should be distributed evenly over the surveying area. It was found that accuracy increased as the object to be photographed was placed in the perpendicular direction to the axis of camera.
As the increase of violent crimes such as robbery, murder, and rape has become a social problem, the government is considering institutionalizing the identification of criminals to prevent crime and to guarantee people's right to know. Such an atmosphere led to the approval of the revision of 'Special Law On the Punishment of Specific violent Crimes' in the National Assembly in April 2010. The revision allows the revelation of the profiles of crime suspects including the pictures of their faces at the investigation stage. However, whether the revision had been effective in preventing crime has not been demonstrated empirically. Moreover, identity revelation is a grave intrusion into privacy and an abuse of human rights such as personal rights and the right to a fair trial, since personal information of criminal suspects would be released to the media prior to the court's final judgements. Also it violates the principle of presumption of innocence, the principles of due process, the principle of double jeopardy, the principle of prohibition against excessive, the principles of clarity, and the principle of liability.

We identified nicotine, cotinine and toluene in high school volunteer's urine by using GC/NPD, GC/FID and GC/MS. To analyze of nicotine and cotinine, urine samples were extracted with diethylether and centrifuged on a benchtop centrifuge for 5 min. The upper organic layer was injected into a GC. The distributions of nicotine and cotinine were $4{\sim}630{\mu}g/L$ and $63{\sim}1,602{\mu}g/L$ in smoking-group, respectively. To analyze of toluene, head space vial was filled with 2mL sodium citrate solution and 1mL of urine. The vial was warmed in a water bath at $55^{\circ}C$ for 20min, and then $250{\mu}L$ of head space air was injected into a GC. The result show that toluene was not detected in all of the volunteers' samples. However, the range of toluene was 0.1~28.0mg/L in glue sniffer's urine samples(NISI data).
The preliminary investigative activities by the police officer play a critical role in identifying the cause of death in unnatural death investigations. The failure to secure the crime scene leads to the destruction of significant evidence, which results in the difficulty or impossibility to identify the cause of death. In order to prevent this jeopardizing crucial evidence, and to identify the level of preliminary investigation on the scene, this research is conducted and analyzed with questionnaires of 300 police first responders and 100 detectives. As a result, it was disclosed that there is a possibility for first responders to fail to ensure scene security, scene observation, and canvass interviews. Besides, when medical personnel have no choice but to contaminate the crime scene in order to save lives, it is necessary for them to take photos and to take proper actions before they enter the scene. The importance of scene-control education cannot be emphasized enough in order to prevent media from entering and destroying the evidence. Through research of actual conditions of unnatural death cases which occurred in Kyongbook Province for last five years, the statistics regarding a few different types of death were analyzed as follows. Evidence that homicide, suicide, accidental death, and disaster deaths have increased year by year. Therefore, it is deemed necessary for the government to take multilateral policies to reduce them, and for police to reinforce their investigative skills. Further, the insufficient number of autopsy facilities and forensic pathologists, only 13% of the deceased (1,237 cases) have had an autopsy conducted to identify the cause of death for last five years. The other, 87.3% (8,496 cases) of the deceased, were handled through simple postmortem examination. The significance of this percentage is that there is still the possibility not revealing the cause of unjust deaths. Therefore, it is necessary to furnish police agency with the reasonable amount of funding for autopsies and maintaining enough forensic pathologists.
As with the vast array of computer technology and its rapid development, along with the entry of the internet as one of the necessities of life, the so-called cyber space has become a vital component of our modern day living. While such cyber space has provided the society with much convenience and utility as to the gathering and acquiring of information, crimes involving cyber space has accordingly increased in both number and form, Nevertheless, the conventional law as existed before the development of the cyber space were unable to meet the demands of this new breed of crime, which inevitably led to the gap in the government ability to punish such criminals, Thus, in response to the rising number of cyber crimes, a large number of nations have either created or is in the process of committing human and financial resources to strengthen the investigative powers relating to cyber crimes and creating a new area of prohibiting such crimes. As a overview of cyber crime, (1)defines the terms, describes features of cyber crime, (2)explains the international prevention necessity of cyber crime, and (3)the necessity of legislating the cyber crime Fundamental Act (4)the recognition of the evidential values on the confiscated electronic records and reviews types of cyber crime including cyberterror. Lastly, emphasizes necessity on international cooperation for prevention of cyber crime as usual.

The revision of the criminal procedure act in 2008 marked a great turnaround in the criminal trial system in our country, and the criminal trial system has been based on the trial priority principle from then on. People in general have been entitled to participate in criminal trials, which can be called the jury system, and their awareness of the law has consequently been taken to another level. And the principle of trial by evidence that requires fair process, explanation and scientific evidence is realized in a manner to be appropriate at people(jury)'s level. The prosecution was introduced a video recording system to ensure the efficiency of scientific criminal investigation and assisted every prosecutor's office across the nation to hire computer-added stenographers to back up the documentation of statements during video recording. The purpose of this study was to examine the Korean and foreign computer-added stenography systems and the prospect of computer-added stenography of the video recording system that has been utilized to make a scientific investigation. The effort by this study to look into the roles and prospect of computer-added stenography in the video recording system that has been introduced to improve the efficiency of scientific investigation, which the prosecution pursues, is expected to expedite the advancement of criminal investigation, to guarantee the protection of human rights and to shed new light on the importance and status of computer-added stenography in the trial priority principle.
Every crime involves a victim and an offender. The offender, from the start of the criminal investigation, is considered as a suspect. After prosecution, he/she becomes the accused, and under consitutional law and criminal procedural law, has the right to enforce the contests of the acts. On the other hand, the victim or his/her family, despite being the person harmed, has very few and comparatively weak rights. To overcome this problem, the Korean criminal justice has recently recognised 'the protection and support of the victim' as a major proposition, and the police as well as the prosecutor's office have been releasing improvement plans for the protection of victims. Setting the above as the background, this thesis deals with the current victim protection acts and discusses the methods to improve them. This study will investigate a more reasonable and effective method of victim support and protection. Currently korea's laws regarding victim protection are not satisfactory, however it is fitting to say that it is certainly an external outline of what it should be. This has been due to the enforcement and creation of 'criminal victim protection' and has acted as a key to more improvements ever since. Despite this, the lack of commitment in human and financial resources to enforce these laws has now produced a possibility of the laws proving to be nothing but an unopened letter. To prevent this from happening, the victim nothing but an unopened letter. To prevent this from happening, the victim protection related laws need to be revised to be more practical and secure. Medical certificate is a document to demonstrate a patient's health status, made up and signed by a physician, dentist, or oriental physician who attended the patient. It serves as an evidence in many official process including civil or criminal law suit, especially for one's personal injury. The Korean legal system also acknowledges and protects the evidentiary function of medical certificate by mandating physicians etc. to issue medical certificate in good faith and only when they personally attended the patient, and by criminally punishing them when they do not comply with these legal requirements. There are some reasons, however, that medical certificates often do not reflect the true health status of the patient: When physicians attend the patient and collect information regarding the health status of the patient, their priority is and should be the most cost-effective way to meet the health needs of the patient. It does not necessarily correspond to the accurate examination of the health status of the patient. Even when the patient's report on the history of the illness or the injury seems suspicious, physicians might have to avoid disproving it because that kind of attitude might harm the rapport between the physician and the patient. All these can distort the perception of the physicians and this distortion can be reproduced in the medical certificate they made up. Some of these problems might be resolved or at least enhanced by introducing new form of medical certificate which would guide physicians to reveal the nature, factual and theoretical grounds, and the limit of their findings more accurately. Others, however, would not be able to address, because it stems from the conflict between the physician's primary duty, duty to be loyal to the patient's life and health, and his secondary duty to serve as a public or neutral witness on the health status of the patient, and when both values or duties conflict with each other, they should choose the duty to the patient sacrificing the duty to the public or the court.
Ever since the 9/11 terror attack, all the world has perceived the need and taken actions to make an anti-terror law, however The Republic of Korea has not yet come up with any relevant output. Currently, the Korean government apportions duties to each related government agency and sets up systems for cooperation among them to make preparations against and cope with terror threats, according to The National Guidelines on Anti-Terror Activities (the presidential directive number 47 given on January 21, 1982). However, the directive has many limits and shortcomings in coping with national emergencies. In this situation, this research aims to compare the national anti-terror laws of others countries with Korea's, in order to understand the problems in Korea, i.e., that The National Guidelines on Anti-Terror Activities, which are the only anti-terror regulations in Korea do not clearly describe the concept and range of a terror, that national anti-terror meetings and the anti-terror standing committee have problems with their operation, that the Terrorism Information Integration Center has also its own problems, and that Korea lacks in preparatory actions against terror crimes and there are still problems about investigations into terror incidents. In order to solve these problems for the future, the present author suggests that the purpose of the law on The National Guidelines on Anti-Terror Activities shall be re-established so as to meet the current anti-terror conditions of Korea, the concept of a terror and anti-terror activities shall be clarified, anti-terror organizations shall be unified, the chair of the anti-terror standing committee shall be appointed legally and automatically according to the relevant rule and be given more rights so as to have free access to private information for anti-terror activities and terror-related information, and systems shall be supplemented for reporting terror-involved persons and funds.
The purpose of this research is to suggest a construction device that can transform a public safety, security service, security system on counter- terrorism device system, from government leading type to private management type. There are purpose on this thesis to research for the bringing up counter-terrorism experts certification system and about all sorts of developed device among our country's counter-terrorism situation and through comparing developed country's private security's developing device. This summary of thesis is like below. First we need to establish total counter-terrorism center, like developed country on national corresponding strategy. Second, we need to make an organization as a country security department unified as an America's President directly belonging organization. Third, it is to legislate about an counter-terrorism. Fourth, we need to make a coorperate system according to counter-terrorism duty come under private management, so that can recover a trust among people. Fifth, a terror warning system is necessary. Private security's mutual relationship and developing devices is First, it is necessary to bring up counter-terrorism expert. Second, it is necessary to bring in counter-terrorism experts certification system. Third, counter-terrorism research center that come under private management is necessary. It is considered that various research need to be continued after by bringing up counter-terrorism experts, transforming a consciousness, counter- terrorism education, building an equipment and education center, not for a special group, that can minimize human infringement.
